Used to Indian restaurants, I am disappointed. The flavors are coarse. Meat is an eyesore. I ordered lamb but it looked like reconstituted meat, dry and stringy, tasteless. The sauce was far too sweet and far too fatty. The samosas were bland and dry and the rest of the entrees were greasy and extremely bland. Yet I'm not the picky or complainer type. But the, really, I recommend this restaurant.

Delivery service 6.60euros for that ???? 4 mini pieces of tikka chicken Inedible meat tough as a brick Supporting photo Update: the restaurant made me deliver a free entry to compensate me
Food not good. Ill-mannered owner. Flee from intoxication.
When our order comes, we realize that it is not good at all the rice tasted the day before the curry was inedible with spoiled and hard meat floating in a cold liquid ... never seen before! We warned them, but the manager still paid us and chased us and yelled like thieves in front of the few other customers ...
to flee, restaurant with no flavor, the Ghandi is a restaurant that seems to put laxative in its dishes, in addition to the taste which leaves something to be desired, the quality of the products is mediocre, that do the services of the hygiene ????
4 people with us in the restaurant on a Friday evening at 21:30 ...... Waiter who answers the phone during the order and asks us to wait. No details on the wines Cahors refused the first sip but counted on the final score. No smile 2 different dishes ordered = Sauce identical for 2 Rice spilled by ridding that rolls on the legs and the chair, not even excuses !!!!!
lamentable
Ps: Bestiole found in a dish the time before. (2 years ago)
Typical dishes excellent and hearty (see too ), excellent hospitality and very correct price in a nice setting. An Indian restaurant to add to the list of very good!
The gentleman is very kind and welcoming and we were very well served ... but, it was really not so good. Even a simple chicken curry did not taste like curry spices. When at the Tikka Masola, it was a rather disgusting sauce with mango taste. So it's true that there are 10 versions of tikka masola, but this was not really the best version. And the rice, not bad but I had the horrible impression that it was Uncle Bens, round, unbeatable and in no perfume ...
I put 5 stars because it is the best Indian restaurant, for us of course, the welcome is very good, the staff is warm, the dishes are hearty and tasty. The manager of the establishment is at the top. I have nothing to say about this restaurant. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Toulouse.
But recently went ther....and had a really depressing experience.... The service was very bad...ethnically biased...cant even write details... One tip to people going here....if you are south asian....be prepared for a bad service from fellow south asians...else ...cheers....
Very good meal with friends. Friendly welcome. A varied menu to satisfy everyone's tastes (spicy or not). Good quantities for a very reasonable price. A great discovery
Indian tradition for a modest budget. Weak point, the new dishware to serve Thali considerably reduces the quantities compared to the dishes traditionally served.
Home phone for a takeaway order deplorable and pressing under the pretext that the restaurant is complete. Once there, there was 1 table. Chicken massala not cooked cold sauce and onion donut dripping with oil.
Zero points !!!! The food is infamous the mutton roll smelled awful i think the meat was stale. The lassi arrived with 1/3 less. No taste like milk, no mango flavor. Is chicken tikka massala a main course or a dessert? Stuffed with sugar! So disappointed to flee. I really should have been careful with the other negative comments. I think the only positive comments, these customers have never eaten real Indian food! Of Indian origin, I cannot find the taste and texture of our dishes at all! A shame!! And for the next customers really read our negative comments !! Never order !!!
Order placed on deliveroo, arrived with considerable delay, half reversed. All not very tasty! My particularly infected tandoori chicken and the rice that accompanied it. I strongly advise against delivery!
Unpleasant server, exorbitant price, card too charged and that says quantity says little chance of having quality, 4 fries for 8.5 (see photo), a dish of chicken curry served alone if you want rice with it is 3 euro and more !!! A mango dessert (you will not choke), a cocktail has 5.5euro (I hope you are not too thirsty), no bread (ok I do not eat but I think of others), nan but the same is paying, good stay positive, it's correct level taste, excellent soup to 3 euro! Ogre abstain unless having the wallet that goes with
Indian only has the name. A scam value for money and more quantities are ridiculous (thankfully or not ...).
Tasteless dishes (a height for Indian) bathed in oil: spinach, eggplant and plain rice. Nan cheese and nan garlic not cooked enough. Volume of kulfi: 2 tablespoons. Gulab jamun without perfume.
Order placed via Uber Eat ... Never order there! Portions are RI-DI-Cules. The picture shows 2 Tikka Masala chickens at 12 each. You will pay 24 for that? The content is even more disappointing than the quantity. 2 pieces of bland chickens are steeped in the sauce (which, let's be honest, was pretty good though HYPER greasy). The garlic naan was all dry and full of holes. Really, do not waste your money in this restaurant, there are plenty of Indian restaurants in Toulouse that will do much more good. In a word (or two): TO FUIR!
How is it possible for an Indian restaurant to not know how to make a halfway-decent curry sauce?!! It was 1/3 oil and looked (and tasted) like coagulated brown sludge. Not to mention that we ordered two different dishes but they both came with the same exact mucky-sauce. We re not too picky, but honestly it was bad.
I ordered via uber eats a chicken tikka massala from this restaurant which was just filthy! Unable to finish the dish, there were 4 pieces of chickens in total there and I'm not talking about the sauce that had a very particular taste. I do not recommend at all.
Not really indian touch, the food is ok and the arrangements are disappointing. Everything tasted like pre prepared item just reheated. Dal makhni was simple dal fry ..entirely different item in the name of dal makhni...not going again for sure
From the site of Uber Eats, my companion and myself had decided to embark on an adventure out of the ordinary: eating Gandhi in Toulouse.
Upon receipt of the dishes, we quickly realized that we would be transcended from beginning to end by our menu seducer. Besides, we can not be more original, I named the "duo menu".
Along with Vasco Deux Gambas, we discovered a crustacean salad tenderly decomposed under a greenery irritated by the industrial bags that covered it. The coldness and dampness of a newborn's corpse are equal only to the taste of this entrance.
The belly turned, we decided to put our lips on the grains of rice Sissa, inventor of chess (just like this restaurant), always preserved for Toulouse over the centuries. Dry rice like the desert of the Tsar and the tandoori chicken forgotten at the top of a dune, our tears fell to come gently season the dish. Nothing helped, the garbage took over.
Finally, a little appetizer with the Taj Mahal where everything goes wrong because he was bought by Kronenbourg who sells his foundations at 5 50 piece, not to mention the iced iced tea savored by straw cockroaches and employees ( not delivered and I had to go and get them in the humble shop ... Mirage or sabotage? Nothing is wiser than a slum eaten away by time and regulars stewed for the next dishes).
Oh yes, the cheese is nice.
We went in search of Saint McDonald's who, despite himself, managed to save our evening ...
"The future depends on what we do in the present" Gandhi, so let's close this restaurant!
We just order on ubereat, what a shame !!!!!!!!!! For 4 menus at 75 euros in total, we received a diabetes menu with a massala sauce, consisting of sugar and water, ridiculously small portions, deserts (mango coulis) the size of an espresso. The dishes are definitely not homemade. I only enjoyed the nan loaves to the laughing cow. Run away ! it's the worst order of my life.
Restaurant chosen by chance via uber eats. I would have put rather 0 star if I could because NOTHING GOES. One of our worst restaurant decisions (:
Menu duo filthy and expensive for a poor quality !!!! Bland lentil soup with 3 lentils, water and a lemon wedge (what's it ?!), dry, warmed and tasteless rice, chicken drowned in a tasteless thick sauce / soup with an enormous layer of oil on top .. Chicken obviously discount and 3 pieces that fight in the fat. Nans dry but a beginning of taste appears when we eat it after the rest.
In short, a disaster, I do not know if the positive comments are very old, if the restaurant ended up favoring money to quality or if people simply have the taste buds because of the industrial food but believe me on say, A FUIR !!!!!!!
Frankly I would not return, it was not good at all, in addition to the service very slow, and I felt to be back in an episode of "Kitchen nightmare", I met a potato on my plate as I had still never seen in my life (she was almost the living air ..) with a young waiter returning scooter wear a bag of frozen samosas to everyone ..
Unpleasant staff and food too expensive for quantity and quality (shrimp the size of a pea). I do not recommend this restaurant !! There is much better in Toulouse.
An Indian Canteen! a card in front of the door that is too full, a waiter who goes out in a reel style, you'd think you were by the sea. Inside 6 people at 9pm on a Saturday .... When to eat. It's very average !! server too fast no time to choose. he must have had an evening behind. on the other hand, it explains absolutely nothing for the payment and the advice to pay in cash. Weird isn't it? Pay not possible. But let's stay on the formula at 17 90 starter dessert dish + 2 glasses of wine and bread or 28 per person o final you do not know what you ate. Gustatively we feel that nothing is fresh. just reheated. the dessert is good but in miniature version. In short ! It is planted with Indian you had to go to that 5 m further.
Restaurant to flee! I delivered myself a menu with chicken curry (already it did not look like a curry sauce at a glance) an hour later, I had stomach pains I spare you the details. In any case if you do not want to get intoxicated go your way!
A short summary of our passage, To start the server gave us the color, neither hello nor M **** Just a wave of the hand to ask us the question "how much are you?" so 2, He brings us the cards while being on the phone, (not top ...) And then it all started, I ordered a chicken Tandoorie, alas inedible, not because of the spices but the smell of the meat NOT FRESH at all, so I complained to the meadow of a second server, I he is asked to smell my plate to find the smell, the latter was in complete agreement with me, so he goes back to the kitchen to bring back the plate, he comes back with the boss and my plate, while affirming that his meat was good, at that moment we decided to leave, I only talked about chicken but I let you make your own opinion about the cuisine. Finished, to flee.
Order placed via just-eat .. meals delivered at 21:30 instead of 21h .. but apart from the delay in delivery, the chicken tandoori is not fully cooked. It's good to have cooked food .. very disappointed .. 1st and last order in this restaurant.
It is our favorite Indian restaurant in Toulouse. We have never been disappointed. We just ordered to deliver. Half an hour later, we had our hot meal to taste and we confirm our verdict without really understanding the negative opinions ...
You really do not have to eat in any Indian restaurant beforehand, in this way, you may be able to enjoy a dish by plugging the pif. The prices are obviously abusive .....
The food is good but the midday service is unpleasant because the waiter is in a hurry to get rid of you when we have not even finished eating, my husband had the plate removed during the meal I was dead laughing seeing the head of my husband good! In reality it was not funny at all So for the rest we hurried to eat so as not to get stung. Especially since there were no people at all we were 2 couples the restaurant was practically empty we did not understand the reaction of the server but in any case just for that we will not go back.
Very welcome, but price level is too expensive compared to the amount of meat proposed. The desserts are for me overpriced for the quantity. The service is long. Very helpful. The rest is very correct, the price of drinks is very correct.
Sunday 05/01/2020 we ate for lunch at the Gandhi restaurant. We arrived very early, we were the first. Warm welcome, menu at 12.90 with an additional 3 nans. While waiting to be served (little waiting) we were More
It is an excellent Indian restaurant (for me the best of Toulouse). Very well placed, the setting is very nice and the servers nice and pleasant. The dishes are prepared on the spot so the service can take a little time but it's worth it. I recommend to those who want a good Indian restaurant (on site or to take away)
We arrived in the middle of the evening, there were a few people. The manager made us wait in the middle while he looked after the room. We were already beginning to see that we were annoyed because we were in his paws, and yet we were only three. It must be said that the passages are narrow, as the place where we must order / pay. We ended up writing our order on a paper at the request of the manager, barely polite. We realize that this same manager is more a business leader than a restaurant owner. He then asked us to wait outside for half an hour, in the cold (half of the tables were free inside). Half an hour later, we came back and again we waited "in the middle", not being able to do better, without any attention of the manager outside mimicry slightly annoyed. Finally, we paid and collected our order in a home delivery packaging from a known sign. After three times the same question, the manager quickly told me that the sauce I wanted to have is not included in the orders to go. He was in a hurry to see us go. When we got home, we realized that there was something missing from the menu: rice. Appraisal: unpleasant manager, high price, menus incomplete, put on hold a bit limited. Restaurant very disappointing, others are as good if not better on Toulouse for prices can be more advantageous, with a home so much more pleasant.
Another entry into the Swiss foodie knife. 8 euros for lunch entry dessert dish. Unbeatable. the taste quality is just correct. the meat or fish portions of the main course are small in this menu. but it's ok in the end with the rice and the sauce. Convenient for the one who has little time, who wants spices and who will not be too much looking at the taste (which is correct). it's the kind of little restaurant that "does the job".
If I could not put stars I will do it !! go your way they are crooks !! I ordered on deliveroo and I received a spoiled curry chicken !! Nothing but the smell you could feel it was spoiled, horrible I tasted the tip of my finger to be sure and yes spoiled fortunately that I did not eat it! I find it scandalous that a restaurant like this continues to operate! it would require a visit to the hygiene services !!
First of all it is not authenticate Indian restaurant. Owner and staffs are from neighborhood country of India. Not at all recommended for vegetarians.
Chicken curry bathed in an oily and viscous material. Smell and taste foul, absolutely unworthy of an Indian "restaurant". Direct trash direction. Same fate for a tandoori and a tika massala.
"Cooking is when things taste like they are." - Curmonsky.
We have just ordered via just eat. It arrives at the requested time but cold. The cheese nems are dry and burnt. Pulao rice is incipid. My korma chicken looks like sweet water. We love Indian food but that's not it. I just put my dish in the trash. Run away !!!!
Although it is an old Indian restaurant in the Pink City, the praise will not be there for me and that of my friend.
The dishes are certainly good, like its namesake next door the "GOA", very good and similar too.
But the downside is that we were swindled only the merchandise. We asked for a starter for two, so in double portions, logically, in fact we had a starter for one person, divided in two, and again! There was only one shrimp and one patty! 12.50 ... Then we asked for a main course for two. Again, there was only rice for two, not the chicken! Again, 12.50 ...
And paying 12.50 for 300 grams of cooked rice as good as it gets is a scam.
We complained to the waiter, politely and like any unhappy customer, to prevent them from doing the same to another customer. In the end, the server sent us the boss who sent us as ungrateful and ask us not to stay long at the table after the meal. No commercial sense, and rudeness = we will come back more and we will get bad press!
Of course, the experience is subjective. But yet we are not generally picky!
Horrible disgusting behavior on the phone and very racist your curry is not at all false advertising and I had a stomach ache for 2 days. A tip to avoid. Horrible !!!!!! You are the shame of Indian restaurants!
Pay 40 euros to eat a shrimp, a bland rice full of water, the grilled fish has 13 euros to have a piece of 4cm by 3, a bland chicken not marinated, we have to call to know if it was normal of almost nothing to have to eat for the fare the gentleman tells us that it is normal, frankly an establishment to close because they are thieves and a kitchen really not good.
First and last experience this day in this Indian restaurant. We ordered a Butter chicken, bathing in 3cm of oil, without flavor, without spices, not even salty .... Very disappointed, but fortunately there are very good Indian cuisines in Toulouse for the next occasions
Ghandi was my favorite restaurant 14 years ago. When I returned to Toulouse and saw that I could order at home, I was delighted! What was my disappointment when I rediscovered the chicken tikka massala of my childhood whose sauce had been completely diluted, tasteless. Portions that were, at the time, sufficient, seemed to me completely ridiculous now that I was an adult. There was only the samosas to catch up. I ordered again, and the sauce was this time correct but nothing more. The next time, the sauce was tasteless. I'm giving up. PS: I had a few stomach ache the next day. I would give a lot to see the hygiene conditions of the restaurant.
It was not good and not even good at all. Not fresh, dry, tasteless and so on! Dishes without flavors, a soup with the look of a sauce ... Amateurs of pepper, we took a dish that was said very spicy and indeed, it was, but that's all. A fruit salad at 4.40 : a slice of pineapple in syrup, 3 lychees in syrup, 2 squares of papaya and and a piece of mango that had the texture of a peach, weird but above all it was the point final meal. We are simply shocked and surprised by the good comments above. Wake up but above all, go your way!
The biriyani was good and authentic but the gulab jamun was served cold directly from the fridge. The chicken tikka was moderate.
To sum up, the place was good enough and the staff were very friendly. The price is also moderate. I would recommend trying this place at least once if you happen to be at Toulouse.
Good food, no frills, the famous elegant and attentive "Indian" welcome has evaporated, as has the discovery promised by an enticing menu. In Toulouse there is better for a similar price.
I did not have the opportunity to go back for a while but we ate well and the service was ok too. I like the fact that they thought to propose a menu discovery that allowed me to taste many things since I do not know the Indian cuisine. Another tip in addition, the degree of spices appears in the menu, no bad surprise if we do not like the spicy too, we can choose knowing causes.
Very bad experience: I took a menu at 14 , the entree was bland, the main course was like porridge for children of 2 months, and the dessert, the cream of mango, is the worst dessert that I have eaten. To this is added the very cold welcome of the boss. I strongly advise against
very poor quality, poor value for money, we asked the lunch menu. the 'hot' entrance was cold. the accompanying sauce of poor quality. the main course was very sweet. In addition, the hospitality was not so good. He made me hate the Indian for 10 years
Very bad. Without any flavor. The meat and the sauce made me want to throw up, I spat it out. The rice was well cooked, which was the only positive thing about this mediocre meal.
The owner who from srilanka took good care for us when he realize we are from India and are craving for Indian food. But we said spicy he got us chicken curry with lot of chillies. In indian context when you say spicy it doesnt mean I need lot of chillies. It means please make it indian style with proper spices. The food has been adopted with the taste of locals there, which is fare as most of the customer would be locals here. We enjoyed the food. We chicken curry, daal and roti and rice. The host and staff are friendly and polite. Thanks for being there...
Obliged to put a star but if I could have put any. With my wife we took the duo menu: korma chicken and curry both served in a filthy soup / soup in which I'm still looking for chicken and curry pieces. No taste except that of sugar. To avoid absolutely.
I have been delivered by deliveroo, catastrophic meal !! For 50 euros I have warmed rice, probably at least the day before, a curry chicken not fresh, cheese nans with a weird smell! Help !!!
