Cool experience. We drove over 2 hours to get there. Worth it. We have children ages 2 through 14, it was fun for all. We got there 30 minutes after they opened and it took about 3 hours to drive through. We bought 4 buckets of food, it was barely enough, 5 would have been great. The big animals are grabbers, so hold those buckets tight! Slight head's up, the path you drive on is narrow, a few horned animals did knock the car a little, no true damage though. But still, let the Maserati rest at home for this trip. Also, the animals walk freely, so the driver has to be very cautious as they go through. There were a few new baby pigs, looked like teenu tiny baby Chihuahuas....crossing in front of our big truck. Our passenger had to hang out windows and make sure all babies passed before we continued. We did see a driver that seemed kind of freaked out, so ensure that your driver isn't squeemish and will be able to proceed carefully through the park. I was our driver, so I didn't get to feed and pet as much as the rest of our family, but still, great day. Great even as I manuvered the path and watched everyone else. We took SO many pictures and videos! Worth the drive and money.
Lastly, prepare to stop at a carwash after you leave. We came out and made a left, carwash about 2 miles down on the right. Go! We had so much food dumped in the truck, plus just animal gunk on the doors. $1.50 for 5 minutes of vacuum, we had to do two rounds. Then we drove through the carwash, which was also cool for the younger kids.

It was 100% worth the money we paid to get in for the amount of animals they had. The track itsef was 3.5 miles long which was more than we were expected. It took our group about 1 hour to get through. I would definitely go again.

Just don t... It could be neat...however, I believe the idea of the park is a continuous or momentarily stop concept. This isn t the case- management doesn t keep the cars moving. Most reviews I read said to get here early- this is the ONLY way you ll get to enjoy this park. We ve been sitting in the same spot for over 45 minutes - we got here 30 minutes after the park opened. Our cars actually starting to overheat. We ve actually been here an hour and a half (inside the gate where the animals are) and no animals other than ostriches have been available to feed. It s kind of ridiculous- it isn t enjoyable at this point. I do not recommend this park unless you can be here when the doors open. Even 30 minutes after opening the park isn t feasible. I was looking forward to this but I honestly wish we could just get a refund -sad times.

Daughter loved the trip. I however was not thrilled about the animals jumping on my vehicle and scratching it up as much as they did. Would not recommend the drive through tour. Would be nice if they'd update the form of payments accepted.

Its fun but I feel some of the animals dont look healthy (the emus mainly) and their water sources look kind of sparse. Missed the rhino that used to be there. I think the brochure should tell you what the types of animal are. There are some things we had no idea what they were. My daughter loves it so that's what matters. I just wish the animals didnt look so unhealthy.

Like it says on the web site AND at the gate this a CASH ONLY facility, which is the only drawback.
The kids 3, 6 and 8 loved the safari style drive thru. Longhorn steer and llamas and ostriches particularly bold sticking their heads right in the car for food bucket purchased at entrance for $3.
Buffalo stole bucket right out of my hand.
Lots of different kinds of deer and cattle. Also many pot belly pigs and ostriches wandering around. Donkeys, camels, zebras too.
Giraffes were cute and kids loved seeing the little one.
Playground kept kids happily busy for 45 mins after being in car. Ice cream available is a plus. Parrot and peacock hang out in main area were cool too.
Couldn't wait to get back to a shower as its kinda dusty as cars kick up dust on the dirt road and the playground is on dirt not mulch. That's not a complaint just a fact.
Will need to wash car in for spilled food and out for slobber.
Sadly got a couple of scratches on doors from Longhorns but that was expected from prior friends personal reviews.
All in all well worth the time and 3 kids @ $8, 2 adults and 2x $3 food buckets for $52 was well worth it for a great day with many close encounter laughs.

Pros: Get to see animals from comfort of your own vehicle. You get to feed these precious creatures. And they have Hay Rides and Petting areas for when Covid is over. There are a lot of different animals to see, take pictures of, feed out of bucket or out of hand. Great for little kids.

Cons: I cannot stress this enough DO NOT FEED THE COWS. They warn you not to feed the cows with HORNS BUT they should specify don't feed ANY cows. Those things are ruthless. Let me tell you. The first animals you come across are cows, and the ground is litered with feed buckets because the cows will take your bucket like a thief. Their heads are huge and heavy. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
Cons: The workers legit will just sit on their horse and watch you struggle to get past the animals. The cows like to do this thing where they DONT move from in front of your car unless you feed them. So you can be sitting in a long car line for like 15 min before of 1 cow. It's crazy annoying.
Cons: The animals like to commit extortion. They will post up in front of your car until you feed them. The Zebras, Lama's and pigs are really big on this. So save your feed for the 2nd part of the drive because you will need to get up out the place. And they say don't feed the Zebras. LISTEN. Because they can't get fed, they like to come up to cars anyways and get mad when you don't feed them. (They have sep feed outside, they aren't going hungry) so just be careful.

This was a really cool place but there are a few things to be aware of. DO NOT LET ANIMALS WITH HORNS OR ANTLERS STICK THEIR HEADS INSIDE YOUR CAR. Some are more hazardous than others and they don t intentionally hurt you but it s just too easy for them to accidentally poke or stab with those things in a confined space and you could lose an eye. Also, don t just roll up the window on an animal to get them out of your face. A couple of the animals had scars from people doing that. Keep some space from the car in front of you and if you want them to get out of your face, just creep the car forward and they ll get out of the way. Or you could just move the food out of site. Lastly, some of the goats liked to jump up to the windows. Their hooves will tear up your paint if you re not careful.

An interesting zoo. The first time was in this. On your car you can drive to see the animals. $ 43 paid for entry +1 bank feed. I think it's a little expensive. By filling the park so-so, goats sheep and cows)) for children in general norms .. Once you can go to see. I recommend not to take the food and not to open the windows. Goats jump on the door and scratch paint. Was very upset after a similar incident.

We've gone here a few times and taken our car through everytime. Everyone in the family loves it. Make sure you get a bucket of food (which means you'll probably want a car was after, unfortunately). Worth it.

The animals are very friendly but the traffic is poorly controlled. You can spend hours driving thru this area because of someone in front of you who decides to feed every animal. The ownership needs to do a better job of controlling this. I also saw the potential for injury from large animals horns - people sitting in a pick up bed barely dodged the horns. When it happens, Lazy 5 will probably be no more.

It was a great experience! The only downside we encountered was the fact that they only accept cash and the nearest ATM is 5 miles away. We showed up without enough cash and was fortunately lucky enough to be able to ride the wagon after giving the booth woman some collateral until we got cash from the ATM in town, but it's very inconvenient that we had to do the extra driving without warning.

We really enjoyed going to the ranch. This was our first time driving into a drive-thru zoo. We drove through with our own vehicle and that may have been a mistake but we were too late to get on a wagon ride and could not go back another day due to the short trip to this town. On our way into the Lazy 5 Ranch we saw a bunch of animals and roaming around but only a donkey came up to our vehicle. We parked after that and went into the shop to buy tickets to go through the ranch and bought feed to throw out. The ranch has over 700 animals. The property is very pretty soo and rustic. It is a 3.5 mile trail to drive. Some of the animals include: cattle, zebras, sheep, goats, deer, giraffes, buffalo, etc.

There was a paper we got when we paid for tickets and it said the animals may autograph your vehicle and several did actually "autograph". I had told my husband before we went here that it may be a possibility. When we left we had several scratches on the doors of the driver and passenger door. If you don't want to take this risk, I highly recommend you make sure you plan your visit around getting a wagon ride. I would suggest you call up ahead of time and get a spot or ask how you can secure it.

You are allowed to honk your horn to try to get the animals to move out of the way. The goats, emus, and ostritches were the ones that really didn't want to move much. I was weary of the emus/ostritches as I had been warned it may not feel good if they hit your hands when trying to eat from the bucket so I kept my window up for them and was weary since it was my first time with this kind of experience. The speed limit is only 5mph.

We really enjoyed driving around and seeing the animals roaming free and feeding them. The little goats and deer were the cutest.

After we got done with the drive through part we actually went to the walk around area and saw more animals and fed some of the goats. I love feeding the goats. Goats are one of my favorites animals at farms and zoos. They have petting areas, a playground, picnic areas, and also a gift shop and snacks at Lazy 5 Ranch. Check out all they have to offer and stay here a few hours to enjoy it all.

It closes 1 hour before sunset so watch your time and don't cut it too short.

It was 11 bucks per adult.

We would definitely go back again if we are in the area again and also would either take the wagon ride this time or put the floor mats on the side of the vehicle to make sure we don't get anymore scratches.

This place is so much fun to visit. It's more fun than a traditional zoo because you get to feed and pet the animals, maybe not quite the variety of a traditional zoo, but a better experience. I suggest taking a wagon ride through for the best time, because the wagon driver will tell you what the name of the animals are and fun facts about them, plus you can reach the giraffes better. Prices are really reasonable, too, but it is CASH ONLY.

Better than expected. We easily spent 2+ hours walking the grounds, then driving through park with stops along the way to feed the alpacas, zebras, and emus. Interesting mix of healthy looking animals with lots of space to roam.

This place is awful. $50 sitting in Traffic and the animals are over fed and kept in awful conditions. The water buffalo are eating and swimming in there own feces. They do not believe in animal conservation over breeding and feeding. There is also numerous vermin rats in there barns. My recommendation would be to call health department and have this placed condemned, there are more friendlier and cleaner places to visit, no I am not a member of PETA, I eat meat and hunt, just a very disappointed customer.

I was a little disappointed with my experience here. We showed up at Lazy 5 only to find out that they didn't take debit card payments. We had to then turn around and go to the ATM down the road and get cash. In a world where card payments are the norm this really frustrated me. Not sure why the owner doesn't want to at least have Square, Ive seen food trucks use it and its simple. We then went into the drive in zoo, after seeing that people were on open wagons feeding animals and people in the back of pickups I then thought it wouldn't be a big difference to just stick my head out the car and feed/pet the animals that way. moments later we are yelled at to stick our heads back in our cars, all while kids in the back of pickups and open wagons kept feeding the animals.

You're doing more damage to the earth and animals going here to sit in a line for 5 hours. Just hundreds of cars with their engines running and carbon monoxide. Should've read the reviews before coming to this nonsense.

Don't drive through if you have a nice car - better yet, don't waste your time at all. It's a great idea & my kids loved it, but I am now in the process of having over $2200 worth of damages repaired on my car. The animals jump up on your car, there are no signs anywhere that warns you of this along with nothing on the website. I was on vacation & thought this would be a fun experience for my kids, but now I am the one paying the price. I have contacted the ranch by phone & email several times without any response.

We had the most wonderful time with our family! The wagon rides are definitely worth it for both adults and kids alike. The staff have kept most of the ranch clean however the toilets need to be upgraded. We would recommend the lazy 5 ranch to anyone looking for a relaxing day outside with family especially if you have little kids.

Pretty good experience. Decently priced most of all and a good team spent with family. Some have mentioned about food options so we are beforehand and it wasn't an issue. Takes about 1 hour to drive through it. Although you cannot get up close to the giraffes, camels and a few other animals, as they're further back in a seperate enclosure.

Don't forget to go for a walk amongst the gardens and other bird and sheep enclosure.

It's a fun place for both adults and kids. They have lots of ostriches, llama, goats, pigs, cows, buffalo, ducks, yaks, giraffe and zebras too. Just be prepared that you might have small scratches by the animals as they know you might feed them so they come close to the vehicles.

Pretty fantastic experience. The animals are great and eager. Kids can't resist it. Do the wagon ride. You get to share the experience with other people. Only negatives would be the entrance confusion because Google will send you to the employee gate. The place is also out to n the middle of no where. Great experience.

This was our first visit and we absolutely loved it! It allowed us to live out our African safari and nat geo side we would probably never get to do. My daughter is 2 and enjoyed the animals from afar. We got a good kick about the animals putting their whole head in the car. Would recommend to anyone whose never gone. We'll be back!

I really used to love coming here with the family,...

I really used to love coming here with the family, but it has gone way down hill. If you plan on driving through, be ready to wait in line for a while just to enter the drive thru area. We waited over 30 minutes and barely moved. We have very young children, their attention span isn't that long. To be honest I lost interest myself. We tried to get our money back and were told there are no refunds..it's posted on the other side of the building you pay at so you can't see it until after you've paid. We were told to 'just walk around and look at the animals" and that they "promised" the line would get shorter...we took the kids to the park area for a while and then walked around and looked at the animals in the walking area.. over an hour and the line was EVEN longer! The walking area was mostly empty cages with nothing to look at, the ponds, parking lot and walking areas are clearly not kept up. Very expensive to have half your stuff not even there anymore. It also appeared that only teenagers work here and were too busy chatting with each other to keep the line going where you pay. We definitely won't be back. So disappointed.
