I graduated from LaSalle in 1999 and the university will always have a special place in my heart. Though it is not found in the nicest part of Philadelphia it is filled with the most wonderful people.

Administration in the bursar's office and registrars office are not helpful at all, there is poor communication to and with students which creates a number of problems. I was a graduate nursing student and the nursing department is disorganized and unprofessional. As an adult learner paying for school out of pocket I am really displeased with the way that the program was managed. They were not considerate of the time and needs of working professionals, and were not helpful at all in guiding students through the post graduation and licensing process which caused TWO lost job offers.

I ended up suing this school where it was not even a shame to them that I( a student) appeared in court myself to argue for my rights with their lawyer. My financial aid was mishandled-reversed ILLEGITIMATELY to create unnecessary problems for me by their negligent insecure director and the gossip of others. If you want a school where your aid will be mishandled for you to end up in court wasting your time FIGHTING THEIR NEGLIGENCE, then go to La Salle.

I have been to many schools but I would not call this a "school" or a " university" at all. If you want a school that upholds the laws of this country and your educational rights, a school that will examine their own errors and take responsibility, then turn to SOMEWHERE ELSE!

You don't want to deal with La Salle financial aid and their STUFF.

BE CAREFUL, because they are " private catholic," a lot of law does not apply to them. That means they can mess around with your education and rights and you would have no remedy at all.

Now, that is just one.... a lot of injustices in this school. I don't recommend.

La Salle prepared me for not only an excellent career, but to think and act with integrity and to help others do the same. A great education provided by a caring faculty in a nurturing and welcoming environment, La Salle is a place that I wanted my children to attend. Whatever success that I have achieved or will achieve has been driven by the education and preparation for life provided by the wonderful people and environment of this school and La Salle College High School.

Great school. Not one complaint. Care so much about their student and will always work with them their best to make sure the student is taking care of. I truly see issues like students getting no attention or communication and wind up wasting credits and semesters on things they did not need and having to graduate late at places like Temple University. That would never happen at LaSalle they always are open to talk and you have to see your academic counselor before signing up for classes every semester and they are really here to help.

The school is good in my opinion but the students accounts receivable and financial aid are horrible. When you don't hang up they get angry and talk in a very hostile manner. I asked to talk to a supervisor they declined, I asked for the supervisor's name they declined again. If I am going to be treated in this manner I can take my money to a college where I will be treated with respect.

La Salle is a great place, it fosters a great learning experience while providing all the amenities necessary for a fun and enjoyable university life. It amazes me at how friendly everyone is, from the students to the faculty, you can just tell that people genuinely care about each other and care about the institution itself.

If your child is black please do them the favor of NOT sending them to this school. I have had many run ins with LaSalle but this one takes the cake. They allowed 4 of their athletes (who were white) to harass and make up lies about me of smoking weed, having sex with the basketball team and all kinds of crazy things to the point that I ended not staying in that house on campus because they were so unwelcoming. They moved my things without consent and when I complained to someone that something needed to be done I hadn t heard back from anyone for months. We played phone tag for two weeks and still have not heard anything. They do not care about their minority students especially if they don t play sports. Please do not send your children here!

From the speech of La Salle's basketball players one can infer the following:
a. The leadership at La Salle is unaware of a major point in the musical "My Fair Lady," that is, that speech, articulate speech, is the primary mark of an educated person since La Salle's basketball players spice their speech with meaningless grunts and expressions such as "you know."

b. La Salle has no articulate speech teacher.

Great experience all around. I hope they bring back their Catholic identity bold and strong. Without it LaSalle is just another among many middle of the road schools. We don't need any more of those. As a university BE CATHOLIC OR BE GONE! As a graduate I can say it.

I enjoyed my four years at La Salle. Small class size and dedicated professors. I felt that my money was well spent here. The school is not located in the safest neighborhood but I felt safe when I went here because there's always security driving around. They also have late night shuttle.

This is one of the worst colleges in the United States and I highly wouldn't recommend coming here . The social work department is very disorganized, corrupt, and is a very hostile ,and negative academic environment at this college . Janine Mariscotti is an absolutely terrible professor . She allows and tolerates bullying in her classes and is also very unprofessional ,rude ,and nasty . Myself along with other male social work students have been repeatedly harassed and bullied by many of the female students who just so happen to make up a majority of her classes. These include Dorothea Cox also know as Dot , Sara Easquarello , Brianna Royal, and Kathy Aikens . Many of these female students have a proclivity for telling lies and fallacies about the male students in the social work program and filing false reports .They were reported by other male students to Karen Zenilman and Amanda Guthorn and nothing was done because these women who should be terminated from their positions flagrantly discriminate against male students . This pathetic excuse for a college should be shut down . This is a Roman Catholic institution ,so they are able to infringe on your rights as a student more so than a traditional public college/university . I wouldn't recommend this college to my worst enemy . I just thought that I would warn the google community about these people .

I Graduated in 2014, School of Nursing, and I must say, I love this University, great education, intimate feel. the campus is beautiful, it has a secluded feel in an urban setting. As a African American student, I felt very welcomed and had the opportunity to participate in Travel study courses. That does not mean everyone or even all instructors were welcoming, but if issues arose, administration handled them swiftly and efficiently. Great experience!!! Wouldn't change it for the world.....

Wonderful school! Dedicated, caring teachers who want you to succeed. Highly intelligent, engaged students. Small classes, interesting courses, I can't recommend it enough. A hidden jewel in Philadelphia that deserves more recognition.
