These scum of the earth, bait-and-switch bottomfee...

These scum of the earth, bait-and-switch bottomfeeders posted a fake vehicle ad online and then tried to upsell me when I got to the dealership.

They listed a 2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited on their site for $17k. I called, and they said they'd just sent it to auction because it had been sitting on the lot for a while, but they'd bring it back for me to test drive.

The next day, I came in to test it, and they claimed that the "Attorney General" found damage in the "back of the car" at the auction lot, so they couldn't sell it, but that they had other options for me to buy (and were quite insistent that I try a completely different model car). They also claimed that the damage was on the CarFax. It's not. The VIN is KMHE34L18GA014883 -- go look yourself.

What a magnificently sloppy lie. The car was also listed as Certified Pre-Owned, which means that -- if their paper-thin lie were actually true -- some random mechanic at the auction lot was better at inspecting Hyundais than an actual, certified Hyundai technician. Which means that their service department is equally as incompetent and dishonest as their salespeople.

Stay far away, and don't look back -- this dealership should not be in business.

Buyer be Ware. Larry Miller just sells the cars. However my experience with my 2018 Sonata is horrible. The manufacturing of my car is a shame. Within the first six months after buying my Sonata the shifting mechanism had to be fixed and the fuel injection system had to be repaired. The car will shake like the car I "chitty chitty bang bang" movie. I dont know what was done to stop the shaking. It wasnt until I brought the car in shaking and not accelerating above 29 or 30 mr/he that the fixed it. When I complained to them about the shifting by itself (the car would go from high gear to fist if I tapped on the break) when I was on the freeway.The response woul give us a back injury not to mention mention putting us un danger. Chorpoate Hyundai wanted for me to sell the car to them for less than2 thousand dollars. They would not take responsibility. Hyundai Corporation only wants to sell cards and your Safety is not their concern. My personal experience. Recommendation. Do not BuyHundai cars. Their Sonata almost killed me because their manufacturing was defective. Yje maintenance crew does what they are told. If there are no codes regardless what you tell them they do not investigate if CODES dont show. My experience BUYER BE WARE Of HYUNDAI MANUFACTURING.

My wife flew down to Albuquerque to buy out her 86 year old Mom's lease car with a confirmed price from Hyundai's corporate finance dept...What should have been a simple cash transaction to include tax, title, license and buy out price turned into a complete fiasco. Thanks to Ray and Jared!
We will pay cash for the car in Denver and go through the extra title transfer step rather than do business with this dealership. Rather sad...

My daughter's Sonata engine seized while driving to California. LHM Hyundai was very quick to submit the paperwork to get the engine replaced in a very timely manner. The car is running great! They made a very stressful situation pleasant. I thank them very much for everything they did for us to get the car fixed asap. Thank you!

Everyone in the service department is awesome. I usually deal with Jared but anytime I call or go in all the staff is helpful and friendly. I can always count on great customer service as well as an honest and direct answer to any and all of my inquiries. Thanks Hyundai family. I would literally buy another Hyundai from the dealership solely on the basis of how wonderful my encounters with the service department have been.

Our car report showed that our milage had been rolled back and it turned out to be an error on the service shop's part. They refused to help us get the report changed so that we can sell our car. They offered to appraise our car to possibly buy it back but they tried saying that we had body work on it and they can't buy it (even though we have never had any sort of body work done.) They are very bad listeners and don't know what good customer service is. Beware of all the negligent errors they can make on your car when you get it serviced with them!!

Sales: I got kicked out for asking too many questions about their unnecessary charges (prices started way above MSRP).
Parts: I called, gave them my VIN, and asked about duplicating a key. They checked, said no problem, gave me a price. I drive over there and I get "no we can't do it here". "We like you to go to the other Hyundai dealer". And "you can leave it here 4 days". Obviously lying.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I went in looking to buy a used car and was told that I would recieve a phone call the next day for approval. Never got a phone call. I called them back the following day and was told that the deal was still being worked on, and that they would call me within the hour. Still never got a phone call from Charles who was our salesman.

I went to Larry H Miller on Coors and was approved for a used car and drove it home the same day.

I have been burned at this location twice. The first time, 5 years ago, I was in the market for a new Hyundai, and the salespeople refused to deal with me on price whatsoever. They felt like they could command full price, because I'm buying a "Hyundai" after all, whatever that means.

The second time I gave them a chance to earn my business, I was in the market to trade my car in. Blue book on this car is about $8500, trade - in at about $6K - $7K. They had the audacity to offer me something like $3000 for a 2013 Hyundai with only 60K miles on it. I ended up getting $7K as a trade in with the dealership I ended up buying my Honda from. I would never recommend this location/dealer to anyone based on my two experiences.

I went to buy a car from this dealership last Wednesday and the sales rep Steven Judy promised me a loaner till i could sign that did not happen had to rent a car out of pocket and then he said i will give you oil changes for free. A horrible experience been to the dealership four times and still have yet to receive a call back. ALL B.S is this dealership is about. I am fed up with this dealership and will take my business somewhere else where I feel respected and not lied to. Thank you Steven Judy for the failure on your part.

No follow through. Promises of call backs and no call backs. Issues with my paperwork that I'm STILL dealing with after 3 months because someone forgot their signature. Sales person was awful. Had to go back over 4 times to correct paper work because she made mistakes or neglected to do things. This is my 4th Hyundai and this experience will def make me rethink buying another.

***Update to this review*** My Blue Link quit working and a Hyundai employee, Joshua, fixed it for me. He was so helpful and very patient. He is the reason that I'm editing this post. In regards to my original 1 star review, the title was eventually sorted out. Also, the car is awesome...

Stay clear of this place! I read all of the low rated reviews but decided to give them a chance anyway. Yikes. The salesman was a nice kid, but the snakes that they call 'managers', yuck. They made me feel gross. I couldn't wait to get out of there. They promise to give you top dollar for your trade and employee pricing on a new vehicle, but once they get you inside to run the numbers, it's a completely different story! Insulting!! Don't waste your time. Seriously. Support local and small business. I ended up taking my business and money somewhere else.

I didnt know what was going to happen our engine had gone out for the 2nd time 4 years to the date. So the company told us it would cost us 6,500.00 oh my God we tried every which way to pull this money together we were short about 500.00 so we made arrangements for payment
So I was told to call Larry H Miller southwest to see when the motor would be ordered and this man wesley informed me by phone the Hyundai company was going to pay for everything , I cried because it was something I didnt know how I was gonna pay.
After we got our car back we were told the Hyundai company put a life time warranty on our engine as long as Larry H Miller southwest Hyundai took care of all the oil changes and we said yes. So Thank you for stepping up and taking care of us I know who to trust.

My wife and I purchased our third or fourth Hyundai from Southwest Hundai in February of this year and again we had a totally positive experience. This time we had the good fortune to have Debbie as our salesperson. She was knowledgeable and respected our wishes. We'll be back. We also just had our first service on our new vehicle and we were impressed with everyone in the service department.

My friend missed her 5:00 appointment with the owner yesterday, an honest mistake because it was busy at work, and when he emailed her about it, he was very disrespectful and pretty much lashed out. Instead of reminding her of the appointment and letting her know she missed it and offering a rescheduled appointment, he emailed her and said, "Thank you for wasting a lot of my time." She emailed him back and apologized for it and he emailed back a sarcastic "thanks". Owner or not, that is not a how a customer should be treated... ESPECIALLY if you own it. I can understand him being upset with her if she was constantly forgetting appointments with him, but this was a one-time thing. Unbelievable.

I hate car shopping because I hate dealing with the sales people and especially the finance person!! My past experiences have been that they get very pushy, agitated, walking back and forth, sending different people out to tell you how the deal is, why it cannot get any better, etc...

Your saleman, Joe and eddie were just great! There was no pressure, everyone was sokind and respectful, it was a pleasure doing business with you. I love my car, the warranty is great; all was explained to me very well and when I have called with questions, ordering accessories, settIng up the services- everyone is just great and very helpful! I will recommend SW Hyundai to all I know!!

We came from Colorado needing work with our exhaust system and a new fuel pump to pass Emissions and obtain our New Mexico tags. These good souls really helped relieve my stress levels with exceptional customer care. High Tens all around!

I feel very blessed to know I didn't go through with the deal they tried to give me!!!!! If I were to have read these reviews before, I would not have dealt with these people at all. This place deserves a no star rating. They let me trade in my car and drive off with a brand new Hyundai Elentra without having my loan approved. For 3 weeks straight they dodged my calls until they were ready to give me info on my loan. Each time they called, it was to tell me my loan wasn't approved for a low interest rate and they wanted me to give more of a down payment than I signed up for, with higher monthly payments than I signed up for. I had my mother drive 3 and a half hours out of her way to come co-sign, which still didn't help. They really expected her to come back a second time smh. When the loan wasn't approved with her, we tried all over again with my girlfriend co-signing and still wasn't approved. I should also let it be known that the whole 3 weeks they were giving me the runaround, they also had me driving around with an expired temporary license plate because they wouldn't simply email or print out a new one for me. They expected my down payment without my loan being approved, I kept asking for my old car back because I have no other options, and they tried everything they could to avoid giving it back to me. My mother and I was very upset and called them to ask what was going on and they lied to her about what was going on. In the end, I finally was able to get my old car back, and now have to pay for a replacement for my license plate and registration tags because THEY lost my license plate, and refuse to respond to me and help me out in getting new ones. So glad to be done with this place, never will go here again. I am recommending ALL of Albuquerque and New Mexico to NEVER buy a vehicle at Larry H Miller Southwest Hyundai because they do not know what they are doing. I have dealt with 3 dealerships and have never had this much of a hassle with any of them.

They work hard to find you the car that matches your needs. After the sale, however, the hard work just stops.

We bought a late model car, very nice, very dependable, just what we were looking for. But, we noticed, minimal attention was done to the detailing, and it was pretty dirty. More seriously, a couple of parts were missing. We were assured they would take care of it right away. The salesman said he would do it before closing. But closing came around, and he wasn't there, and the finance guy had no idea what we were talking about.

I was literally ghosted by my salesman, he never returned calls. Eventually, I found out he quit. And no one in the sales department was willing to take ownership of this. Or even return calls. I have logged my calls, I've literally called them 8 times about this in the month since we bought the car, and exactly ONCE has someone returned my call. I get the runaround, oh that guy? He's not in. Oh that lady? No she's from another store. Oh him? Huh, he was just here but he's not here - I'll have him call you back. Spoiler alert: he didn't call me back.

I escalated to a manager. He said, "I'm so sorry you've been treated this way. I promise I will get back to you on this by the end of the day." The next day (ha ha I actually expected him to call me back but of course he didn't), I called him back, and he said "Oh we'll have to order that part." I said fine, let me know. Two weeks later, zero communication. I called back, he's not in. The lady I talked to? She said she'd call me back that day. She didn't.

These people over promise, and under deliver.

They will do anything for you before the sale. They will do nothing for you after the sale. I cannot recommend them to you.

Edit: Thanks to the manager for the reply below. I called the number listed, and left a message. Would you believe, he did not call back! Hahahahaha! I almost feel like I'm being pranked at this point. Anyway, I reiterate, these guys absolutely do not return phone calls, do not want to hear from you after the sale. So, they won't fear from me next time I am in the market for a car.

Final edit: Val did call me back two days later. The part we needed was eventually installed and seems to be working fine. It took a while, but it did get done. Just be warned: don't expect them to hustle for you after they have your money.

This was my first 6000 mile "check-up" at Southwest Hyundai and I was very satisfied! My service agent, Shawn, was polite, thorough, and knowledgeable. The service was performed on time and as expected, including the wash job. I definitely will use this service department in the future if this is the type of service I can expect with each visit!

On Thursday July 13, I was having a bad day at work, my daughter, Jacinda Baker had an appointment with Tim Dunworth and asked me to go with her. Well, we both ended up filling out car applications and to my surprise, I got a brand new 2017 Accent. ALL the staff was incredibly friendly and kept us posted with any issues and explained the process. Thank you Tim for sitting with us as we nervously sat waiting and eating popcorn. We recently purchased a vehicle from Jay Barasch and the whole experience was good! No added pressure, we just were looking to purchase a vehicle after my scooter was stolen two weeks before. Everyone was super helpful with making this happen. They went above and beyond to get us the best interest rate and the best price for the car. If you are looking to shop for new or used car Jay is your guy. Loving my new car and thank you for referring Larry H. Miller Casa Chevrolet for the window tinting, they did a great job. I'm thankful because I was hesitant, but we are glad we went in on August 3, 2020. Thank you!

Friend of mine who is a disabled Veteran has purchased 5 vehicle through here and the last time he bought a vehicle, it took them 3 weeks to get his lift on the vehicle which he was told it would only be one week. They gave him the go around multiple times. He finely got the lift but it took them 8 hours to do it!!!! Shame on you Larry H miller staff to treat a customer like this! You will never get my business.

Just what I was looking for... A dealer that treats you with respect, is honest, NO B.S and fast. This was the best experience that I have ever had regarding buying a new vehicle. Over my lifetime I have purchases 9 new vehicles and as I said this experience was the best yet. I came in with a price, they had theirs we negotiated for just a few minutes and the deal was done. In and out in less then two hours. I highly recommend them and my salesman S.K. was the best!

Wow. Christy is the worst. Rude. Pushing you to buy "dollar raffle tickets" instead of showing you cars. Seems like they were going to split the raffle money. They didn't mention it would be donated to a charity or anything. She asked me over 8 times, why I didn't want to buy raffle tickets? I said it's like gambling to me and she laughed in my face and said I didn't know what gambling meant.
They don't remove the cars on their website either. They sold the car i wanted on Friday and it's still shown as available.
Like a circus in there. .. and not the good kind. Check out all my other reviews on dealerships, it's just positive stuff.
This place is horrible. Ghetto. Dirty. Chaotic. Too many employees, most of them are just standing around. If you get Christy, good luck. Lol

I just wanna start off by saying thank you to the whole Hyundai family!! Y all made my husband and I car buying experience marvelous.

The service is always great, I can not criticize t...

The service is always great, I can not criticize the quality of the work. My negative is that nearly always the technicians always mess with the radio and change it to listen to what they want for the few seconds they drive the car around the lot. After my visit this time my siriusxm radio has been messed up, when I left the lot I was only able to receive 1 channel. Since my service the operation of the radio has never returned to normal. Next time I will leave a note over the radio to leave it alone.

We bought a car at the beginning of the month from this dealership and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new vehicle. Kale, our salesman, was great. He had the vehicle prepared when we came in for a test drive and they really made sure we got the deal we wanted. They even tinted the vehicle! Overall a very enjoyable and stress free experience!
