No lie, the reception people at this surgery are friendly and they actually want to help you. I can't remember finding that anywhere else.

The doctors and nurse practitioners are everything I could wish for. The waiting lists for appointments are too high, but I think that's becoming common everywhere with this government.

There is also a man who comes in to help people fill in benefits forms, and he helped my partner (who uses a wheelchair) get disability benefits.

Also they have a nifty fishtank with a loach living in it

The doctors are fine and knowledgable, but getting hold of the practice and actually getting some information is a nightmare. The line constantly rings even if 1st in the que.. how is it possible to be 1st in que for 20+ mins? Something as simple as wondering how to get a prescription so I can get my pill is hard work because the app they have created for this doesn t work and you can t even get in touch with reception.. ridiculous. How am I supposed to get my medication with no way of applying for it?

Unclear prescription advice along with rude staff who do not understand their own practice's policy. I called to ask for help in acquiring my repeat perscription, the receptionist refused to help and redirected me to their flawed online prescription service at which point she hung up on me

Rude and unprofessional staff. They hang up on you and decline to help you if you object over their rude and demanding manners. I can take that in customer service but no for a medical organisation that is supposed to be there to help you when you have health problems. Worst in all Manchester.

The fact that these surgeries are privately owned ...

The fact that these surgeries are privately owned though the patient has not the right to choose a surgery or have a doctor of choice is ridiculous and the NHS has responsibility for this. At Langworthy Medical practice there are never available appointments, doctors change all the time so you never see the same doctor, they never inform you if your appointment is with a nurse or a doctor and I find that the staff is negligent and not highly trained. In this surgery I came across a practitioner who didn't know how to treat anaemia. Recently I have visited 3 times for a chest infection, had 2 course od antibiotics and still they haven't prescribed the most basic : AN X-RAY!!! So the doctor just makes assumptions and says oh it's alright... All this when people are actually dying from the flu.

5 weeks waiting time for an appointment. Every time I call the reception it takes about 40 minutes to get through (even when first in the cue). Then they pick up and the line dies, every single time! Useless. Have been a patient here since July and still have not seen a doctor. Please people, stop going to the doctors with flu symptoms, eat a clean diet and get a cup of tea with some painkillers!

Been left without any medication, tried phoning over 2 days and no way of getting through!
Had to visit in person to be told they're are updating their systems.
Pharmacist also reporting major issues getting through by phone and email.
This is simply just not good enough, what happens to the more vulnerable patients while this mess goes on?
I'm majoraly concerned at this time.

If I could give 0 stars I would. When typing in Langworthy Medical Centre to google, it says that it opens at 7am. My boyfriend and I woke up at 6:55 just so we could get me an on the day appointment which the 111 service told me I needed. We called up and it kept saying it wasn t open so we looked on their website, only to find that they didn t even have opening times on there! What website, in particular a NHS DOCTORS SURGERY does not have opening times on their website especially when they have false information saying it opens at 7! We were anxiously trying for an hour to call knowing that if we didn t call as soon as their lines were open I wouldn t be given an appointment. It opened at 8, we called straight away (57 times to be exact for the entire hour), it took 5 minutes to get through and I didn t even get an appointment. A joke of a doctors surgery.

My honour to be in this practice, the GPs are really doing everything they can to help you, booked me something i've had to chase for many years, in only one appointment. I'm grateful and won't change them, regardless.

Reception staff pleasant and helpful, most doctor's I've seen great.
but last appointment with Dr Ben Brown.
I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease and needed some advising about on keeping to a gluten free diet.
Whether he was having a bad day i don't know, but it felt like he couldn't be bothered, was just handed a printed paper and told me to stop eating 'carbs' especially bread as it's not good for me.
I was out within 1 minute, leaving quite disappointed having waited over a fortnight for this appointment.

Cannot fault this practice, from the receptionists to the nurses, doctors and support staff. All are very caring and efficient. If you join the practice, check out the Patient Participation Group - you may be just the voice they need.

I'm so pleased that I changed my gp surgery to this practice. Dr Addlestone is a caring and compassionate man who listens. Just what I want in a gp. My only complaint is that he's so popular that I have to wait weeks to see him. Small price to pay when I'm finally getting some answers to the chronic poor health I've experienced over my life.

Reception staff, management & nurses, all but one, seem competent & polite.

Information not clear on the website at all and phone line is a mess - have to listen to a 2 min recording before even getting to the option menu. Receptionist on the phone was not very helpful and gave misleading information. Patchs is a mess as well, you have to send a request at 8 am if you even want a chance of being able to speak to someone.

This is for the uni medical practice. They don't care about their patients nor do they care about what goes on within the practice. I had a nurse tell me to 'get over it' when I have whooping cough but was told it was just freshers flu. You have to wait over a month to be seen and they clearly have no idea what they are talking about.

Horrified to find areceptionist taking temperatures before you can get access to see a doctor. She would not answer my question are you medically trained to do that and told me that it was one person at s time in the surgery so I couldn't accompany my 75 year old mum.

i recently switched to this practice from another where i was mistreated by the named gp - a surly older woman who lied about me "pestering" her when i asked her once for some advice on a treatment avenue for transgender people such as myself and she also threatened to remove me from the practice as a result. this practice has been absolutely wonderful so far. staff actually listen, are patient, caring, and won't put a person's health at risk because of bigotry. i also got prescriptions right away for conditions i'd been fighting for treatment for at the old practice for a long time. i could not recommend them enough. gill, the asthma nurse, is especially incredible. i owe her so much already.

Always had to insist too much to get an appointment. Staff don t care about patients with real health needs. I was asked by the 111 to come here and request an appointment. I was told we don t deal with that, you need to go to the hospital. Rude and I takes one to two months to get an appointment

Receptionist I just spoken to was the most unhelpf...

Receptionist I just spoken to was the most unhelpful with a no can do attitude I have ever come across,no regard or empathy for the practice changing its prescription ordering procedures and patient's kept in the dark about this no letters to inform patients who have repeat prescriptions the last time I ordered was told the system was changing not when or how and what you needed to do the only reason I rang was my husband rang for his the day before and got them ordered over the phone and then told the new procedure I was flatly refused this service and told to come in to reception or chemist I obviously got jobs worth with no understanding that the practice changes is not the patients fault and as I am in full time employment can be difficult to get in hence using the ordering online system so now be without medication as I run out Sunday and doubt will get them as you have to wait 3 days normally you can't even order early as you are told it's too soon what a system!!!!
