One of the bset resort in South Goa, big property with big rooms big golf course

Pricey but I have seen cockroach and scorpion both which seemed surprising to me. A real lap of nature. Food in Canacona restaurant was pretty average. Beach was great....

The restaurant here shouldn't exist. There is no way this place can call itself a 5 star. The common area looks like a rundown boys hostel and the fan in their dining hall worked at will. The food was way below sub par and honestly an Udupi or even a child learning how to make an egg could do a better job.

It is an amazing property. You will not be disappointed .

This resort has big room which was very good. Staff are friendly and hospitable. The beach hut food is less that expectation. Being the 5 star property one expect the seafood product to be of high quality but it turns out a bit disappointed. Golf course was average built with some constraints which was understandable. Few holes bear the beach was awesome. Should have clear signage to indicate the holes or you will be rounding around asking. Overall a great place and good experience.

Not a 5-star property. We booked a stay for 5 nights for our 1st wedding anniversary and are very clear that we will never ever stay at any of The Lalit's property ever again! They even forgot to get a cake on our anniversary. If they had not promised this then we would've arranged it on our own. They only love conferences as we could see their staff scampering for the babus of NABARD but not for common folks. Breakfast is as horrible as it can get, maybe even worse than a 2-star hotel! Only the garden and pool are good. The beach is not private, just away from the rest of the goa and hence, has fewer people. There are 2 rivers that flow into the sea around Lalit and hence the water at the beach extremely sandy and salty.. It's just a 5 star on paper.. nothing like a 5-star property. We wanted to do special dining but looking at how things went in the initial days, booked the LEELA instead. LEELA charges twice the amount of LALIT but is 100 times better. Don't waste your money on Lalit, especially if you're coming for a special occasion!

Good property with staff who says no to everything even a cup of tea or coffee. Staff with non smiling face.

Had fantastic experience here, amazing lunch in the most beautiful grounds on the beach front. We inspected the property for a future event and are very satisfied with the staff, function venue options and Villas!

What an experience it was staying here!! The best in Goa. Awesome swimming pool. Private beach. Cycling. Games room. Had the best time ever in Goa. Would love to visit again.

Do not expect a 5 star treatment even though its called 5 star resort.

Firstly it's a very big property, and if you are going with a kid then you are in for some serious work out and walking, which rather to say it's not a vacation to relax. Second point is the staffs are laid back, I had to carry my own luggage while exit, taking it all the way from one end to the main reception. So if you have a kid, which in my case 3yrs old, it's not ideal. What is really not value for money is after going there you will find everything is chargeable on activity. what I mean is even the most basic indoor play area for children is chargeable which I personally felt a big let down. Beach is really good as described in some of the review, so it definitely is a plus. But honestly there is a bit of walking and if you have a 3year old then think twice, also the location of your room matters.please note the beach is not exclusive to Lalit and its open for all even outsider can come, do not go by what they say go exclusive etc. Comming to food, breakfast is OK as mentioned by pervious reviews, but service is pathetic to be honest, really slow and need to keep reminding of your order. Takes a lot of time to get your order, seriously one does not except this from a 5star. Overall a big disappointment and will never again visit this place. Note : travel time from airport to Lalit is ~1.5 to 2hrs.

The food in the restaurants was absolutely fantastic. Look forward to stay at the hotel again!

Awesome location, beautiful landscaping , private beach ,serene view ... Good service ... They provide baby khichdi and milk complementary which was great for me as I was traveling with 6 month old . Expensive food but nothing new on the menu which makes you feel it worthy ... .

The rooms are perfect, with well functioning AC, a great bathroom and a variety of TV channels including HBO. The resort also offers activities such as golf, archery and water sports. The pool is also a good size with a nice bar. Inside at the main bar, you can also find a snooker table (for those interested). The Spa & gym are also great, from my opinion the gym offers more machines than most gym's I've seen, sadly the variety of free weights doesn't match my standards. They have a sauna and two jacuzzi's. However, the resort claims to be 5-star, yet the service you receive is that of a 3-star, many times the workers forget or misunderstand orders. Some workers also appear to be doing nothing and watch customers, which I've heard from others may make some uncomfortable. The prices in the hotel for food and drinks, are also at least twice of those you can find at the neighbouring beaches. Most of the resort visitors also tend to stay/hangout at the neighbouring beaches for the cheap and wonderful clubs & bars. For these reasons I'm only giving the resort 3/5 stars, there's defined room for improvement.

Beautiful place, good ambience, food quality and service. We were here to celebrate our 50th anniversary we informed Ms.Pooja from Guest Relations regarding our annivarsary within less time she managed to arrange cake for us we were very happy by her services. One thing more the property has very beautiful plantation.

Had a great experience. The place is so tranquil and has a private beach. Wouldnt need to travel much if u r looking for a relaxing holiday. It has a spa and golf course beautiful gardens.

Everything here is big... The rooms (unimaginably big)... the property (85 acres)... 9 hole golf course... Large beach front... Friendly f&b staff... Very nice detailing for Guest compete comfort in the rooms... I had a perception that the hotel catered mostly to wedding groups and hence the standard would not be high... But was wrong... Except for not having valet parking (who knows why?) Was a great stay...

Will not recommend to anyone.

1. Curtains in room are transparent, anyone can see from outside. Privacy issue.
2. Asked for first-aid but never received during my stay.
3. Food was hilarious, specially spring roll. I found stones in Idali.
4. Telephone in the room was not working properly. Automatically rang at midnight regularly. Asked to repair the phone 7-8 times daily but had not repaired during my stay.
5. Also, the alarm is ringing in the attached room of another guest and I asked to off the alarm but I had to make complaints several times and waited for approximately two hours. It happened in midnight.
6. Pool was not operational.

Nothing was good at price I paid. Spoiled my 3 days stay in the Goa completely.

Went for a 4 day break and did not regret it. Nestling amidst 75 acres of greens you can hear yourself breath here. Large rooms with all modern amenities. Built in traditional Portugese style gives a old world feel thought the property is only 15 years new. Walk amidst the greens, take a short stroll to the private beach or just laze around. Do your own stuff. If Golf is your thing head here. If water sports get you going head here. There's something for everyone here. Food is decent. The breakfast buffet offers a fairly wide spread. Head here if you want a real break.

If you are flying in make arrangements to hire a self drive in Panaji before coming to the property. About 68 KM's from the airport commute can be a hassle without a vehicle. Or be ready to shell serious money for transport. If you wish to do the usual touristy things in Goa remember you are good couple of hours away from it all. Palolim beach is close and offers the Goan experience.

We came as a group to Lalit. Overall I felt the property is vast, nice and clean, however it is lowest in almost every aspect of service, for example

-The air condition bus that got us from Goa Airport to the property had disfunctional Air Conditioning in both the busses. People started sweating in the bus. Some of them felt nausea

-Their laptops got hung at the time of room allotment and hence we kept waiting for 30 minutes

-The room key given to us was not working for many of us, which compelled us to ask for change of the key and keep waiting in some other folks room

-In welcome drink, the staff welcoming us refused to give any alternative of kokum drink. She told you need to order separately.

-The veg appetizer (crispy veg, crispy paneer) coming in evening buffet was quite cold, spoiling the mood of vegetarians. After complaining three times, they started serving hot appetizer.

-In the soup counter, no plates or napkins were provided. It came after requesting.

-The desert in the dinner was definitely of low quality. Moong dal halwa probably had wheat flour mixed.

-There were no hand towels in the room. Can you imagine this in such a so called 5 / 7 star property?

-In a number of rooms, cable TV connection was dysfunctional. In a number of rooms, several lights (bed side lamps particularly) were not working.

-In toilets near restaurant (The Sea b q), there is no water jets. Can you imagine, in India you are managing with just tissues.

-In the breakfast Aloo paratha was so tough and periphery was so hard that you won't feel like eating. They had kept plenty of them in the basket which was begging to get consumed.

-The tea cake was containing eggs, which left no option for vegetarians. Vegetarians could have cookies only.

Good points
-Spacious conference room and thankfully AC was working as per expectations.

-Enough seating arrangement for folks

-After getting multiple feedback about day 1 dinner and day 2, breakfast and lunch the chef was personally tried his level best on day 2 dinner. Day 2 dinner was far better than day 1 dinner. Even desert like jalebi was served crispy and hot.

A very well maintained hotel with a huge swimming pool and a private beach to ! Best place to enjoy with family . Food is good ! Looby is beautiful and the staff at the reception is very polite ! Would like to thank Kushagra , Oswin and Arun for their great hospitality ! The manager Ankur was also very helpful ! A special thanks to Kushagra for his kind and polite nature!

Surrounded by Lush green landscape all on sides which make part of the golf course, amazing rooms. The villas are very luxurious and offer all the amenities one could ask for including a private pool

Extremely poor service. We had to literally grab the waiter's attention by waving vigorously, each time we wanted something. they took more than 20 min to take the order. one of the dish ordered was Caesar salad. about an hour after placing the order, when we inquired about the salad, they informed that they do not have fresh lettuce. It's strange that they realized this an hour after taking the order. the attitude of the staff was very laidback and casual. This place does not deserve to be called a 5 star..

The property is beautiful and self sufficient . Good place to relax . The rest of Goa is very far . If you like golf they have a great course. The beach is quiet and easily approachable. The pool is great .

Its a masaive place and poorly maintained. The decor of the rooms is very old school and not by choice. The least you expect in a five star resort is a well maintained if not fancy bathrooms. Not here. Bathrooms has mold on the ceiling. Management staff is for namesake. If there is a trouble regarding your booking, good luck with that. Food is good though and it has the potential to be a great resort. Such a shame it isnt. Also to note is they charge you for wifi as well.

Thia resort is at south Goa,worth the money put,pool side view room was very spacious,Canacona Beach is a 5 Minutes walk,not to forget the wide range of breakfast buffet.Perfect resort for a family if you want to chill out.

Okay I will start with what I really liked about this place was the private beach, golf course, pool.. Food is pretty average.. The property is huge but you don t feel like you re staying in a five star resort! The rooms are pretty dated and need repair works as we had issues with the charging ports..

If I could rate the experience a 0 star I would. The staff at the front desk are extremely rude. Especially Pradeep. We enquired about the tariff and Pradeep was extremely aggressive coating an exorbitant amount. 1 lakh rupees a room which is actually 6k. At my previous visit I stayed at the Hyatt, I highly recommend that. Service is the worst I have experienced. Some strict action should be taken against Pradeep at the front desk.

Very good hotel with great ambience. Golf course and the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Swimming pool is awsome. Rooms are huge. The beach is clean. Some improvement in the management will definitely make the guests happier.
