We had a great night, lots of laughs and fun entertainment.
Have been on this boat for a number of different events. Haven't had any issues with the boat and the staff all seem lovely. Drink prices are very reasonable on the boat and similar to what you'd pay at a local pub. Recommended for any functions you'd like to host or to attend one of the many public events they run.
Great crew on deck, very friendly and excellent hospitality.
The good was great, and the captain was very friendly. The staff were diligent but some of them did not have great English, which meant that when we had a couple of minor issues we had trouble getting them resolved.
We did the Sunday brunch seafood cruise & the food was amazing (they catered SO well for dietary requirements) and the staff were wonderfully attentive. Would definitely recommend!!
Disgusting, the worst service I have ever experienced
I wish I could give them no star at all
We were told by the organiser the cruise will board at 7:30 and leave at 8pm but that was not the case
There is a camera outside where the boat left you can check to see the exact time the boat left
We had paid for Persian new year, got to the car park at 7:50 I have the parking ticket to prove it, walked to the wharf and they were leaving at 7:55 my partner told the guy taking the ramp wait my partner is coming with baby pram and the guy just completely ignore him and took the ramp and took off. Not only they ruined our New Years but also our night. Please don't waste your money worst experience ever
Wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning. Friendly service and food was perfect. Lots to see in this area so arrive early and look around.
What a fun night!
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Dancers were amazing. Food was plentiful and tasty.
Welcome drinks were good, plenty to go round.
DJ did a great job getting the party started after the show.
Great value for money.
Thank you, we'll be back!
Wonderful cruise. Entertainment was good, view and ambience was good.
Nice views. I've had some good times on the lady cutler. The food and drinks are over priced and not amazing but then its not a restaurant. The fireworks cruise i went on took an hour to board and leave which is to long especially when you get there on time
Our office Christmas party was on this boat (an afternoon cruise, not lunch. ) Sufficient canape were served. Beer was cool. I suspect the good weather contributed to this good raiting.
Friendly staff; a great way to see Port Phillip Bay while enjoying food and drinks
I requested a refund for an event we couldn't attend a month ago. Haven't got a proper reply on my refund request inspite of sending several emails to Lady Cutler showboat admin team.
Poor customer service.
The cruise ship is fantastic. Recently went on a blues cruise. What a way to spend a Saturday evening. Start off at Docklands watch the sunset then cruise from Williamstown to St Kilda. Arrive back at Docklands at night. All with good music and a great atmosphere. Drinks a little pricey though.
Love this boat! Great for Christmas functions with plenty of cruises on offer!
Fabulous show and a great crew! What an amazing night out x
Worst service they don't deserve a one star.
I would not recommend keep away.
We had a fantastic night celebrating my birthday on the Lady cutler show boat. Yummy finger food. Excellent staff service. Lovely drink. Very good DJ. Amazing burlesque show . We really recommend this Cruise.
I had the delightful job of trying to organise a very last minute wedding ceremony due to issues with the original venue. Lady Cutler manager, Sylvia was absolutely amazing in helping us make it work. From catering to decorating, the team were professional and very friendly to work with. The only thing that we thought could have been improved on was the length of the cruise. Guests felt the trip was too short, we docked a whole 45 minutes before we all had to disembark the boat.
I got married in this boat, it was the best experience that we could have. They supported us with everything. The crew was amazing. All our guests loved it. Thank Lady Cutler to made our day so especial. I trully reccomend this boat
Went for Mothers day, we all had the best time live band lots of food friendly staff. I recommend to go for a great day out!
Seccy was a coward, threw out my property even though I didn't contravene any rules
The staff were great. Vegan food, that I requested was very sparse, the drinks are expensive. The show only lasted 50 minutes and a lot of that was the MC talking. No 1920's music and the Burlesque/1920's theme was no where to be seen.
Great night out with the family! Would definitely recommend
Great evening on the Lady Cutler, staff were great! Highly reccomend great way to meet new people
Our party of 6 were 11 minutes late for departure on blues brothers cruise. We phoned in advance to explain delay was due to taxi being in an accident and we were advised the boat would be notified. We arrived and the boat had left...we contacted the company again and they advised we would be refunded. However since we are being denied a refund and no one is admitting to speaking to us on the night...very poor customer service as we were very much looking forward to it and being stranded in full fancy dress was very disappointing!!
Been on here a few times on the Lucky Thursday's annual cruise and most recently a NUGAS event.
The boat has decent amount of space to roam around. You get to see the Bolte and West Gate bridge from a new angle which is fascinating. Drink prices are standard.
Turn your music down before you come back to the Harbour. It's so inconsiderate for nearby residents to play music so loud late at night.
Great entrees by the main was lacking. Over all a great day out
Absolutely amazing food , hospitality on a beautiful big boat.
A must do for most I would say.
This was a really fun night. Pretty good value too. Definitely check it out for a fun night out with friends
What a shame such a great concept ruined by a shortage of food. We did the Bonza Xmas cruise and it looked promising early with large plates of oysters and prawns. Unfortunately these were gone in a few minutes. From then on a few demolished platters were bought around for a 3.5hr cruise!
We paid extra for the drinks upgrade which meant close to $170 a head!!
The band and DJ were good.
Too much money for the offering. Very disappointing.
I've been DJ/MC aboard the Lady Cutler many times and never a disappointment.
"Sensational" ;-)
BONZA CHRISTMAS CRUISE: Beautiful staff: so patient and friendly...welcoming us on board and making for the seamless and efficient boarding process. On entering the deck we were greeted with platters of fresh oysters and prawns and dips and thought this was the making of the next 4 hours of feasting and fun! Unfortunately the feasting stopped: there was a time, it seemed, that the boat full of people were like ravaged animals just waiting to get any morsels and pounced on any plate that occasionally arrived but the food was just not plentiful enough for that many! Everything else was absolutely amazing: the wonderful security and good natured staff, the fun DJ and exuberant live band were awesome! The drinks flowed well all night and fun was had by all. If there had of been enough food to appease the crowd it would have been outstanding. Hopefully the caterers will learn from this experience and increase the level! I imagine it will be extremely difficult to get my crew of 20 back because of this which disappoints me when everything else was absolutely fabulous and enjoyable!
I always have a wonderful time aboard. The times I've been on the security have been friendly and helpful.
Had a fantastic time! Live music made it a great atmosphere! My husband usually a botomless pit had to refuse food. A great Christmas present I really emjoyed it.
Fantastic night out for New Year's Eve... I'd definitely recommend upgrading to the spirits package
I've experienced many events on the Victorian Star and this show boat, both are sure to please any land lover...
Want a good night out with live music and great views. Don't forget to pre-book your food.
I organised a night out for my wife's bday present.
We did the Gatsby evening with a burlesque show.
My wife and I like to get into the spirit of a themed party and dress up, as did others.
In the promo material it certainly says dressing up helps the experience.
Which would be great... If there was an experience.
I guess in my head I had a different experience in my head.
Like the DJ would be playing 1920s music, or at least something close to it. Even swing music which is technically 40s.
Instead you have Toto, Beyonce, Shakira and all those other hits from the 20s.
At least have it when you board the boat to set the mood.
Instead it's like every other generic nightclub in the city, just floating on water.
Once on the boat with the DJ pumping their tunes, people go towards the table with the free champagne. Either there wasn't enough or people took more than they should, cause people missed out
There were starters on a table that people attacked and if you're lucky you got some. I'm pretty sure people weren't even told food was down that end of the boat.
My suggestion is to eat a little something before getting on.
The wonderful waitress who brought around the food did a great job to advise my wife what she could eat, due to her allergies which we really appreciated.
But the poor woman was alone serving food and I believe she did her best to get the food to everyone. But they were like drunk piranhas stripping the platter to its bare bones.
If there were two servers one coming from the back and one from the front, those shy people who don't like to cut in front might not go hungry.
What food I got was alright, calamari was tasty.
It's a small bar so there can be a little wait, but nothing too bad. And drink prices were pretty standard.
Cocktails were ok, nothing too elaborate.
We chilled outside while the first group went to watch the show.
It was nice just to chill with friends out there, was a little stuffy inside.
At 9pm it was our turn to watch the show
The burlesque show was great, the MC was very good at relaxing the crowd but also make them a little nervous. That's her job.
They entertained and gave us something unique for those who have never been to a show like that.
They deserve 4stars absolutely on their own.
But I'm rating my whole experience.
We should have stayed up after the show, the music was certainly better Imo.
So at the end of the day...
Needed more staff when it came to food severs.
And it would have made my experience better to set the 20s mood better.
But everyone else were partying with the DJ. So it's just my grumpy arse that doesn't know how to have fun.
I can't say I would do this again anytime soon.
But hey, it's my two cents, that's what the internet is for.
Added comment in response to Captain Jeff
You're right I could have gone up to the DJ and asked if he could look up something from the prohibition era. And I'll work on that in my future endeavours.
But as I said, the way it is advertised you feel like you're going to be swept back into the 1920s
And in my opinion atmosphere is everything and the spice girls didn't give my personal experience that I was expecting.
I haven't heard anything about your Blues Brothers cruise. But I would expect that you would play Soul music/Rhythm and Blues to set the mood.
Not spice girls.
But hey 6years is a long time and it's clearly working for you and you clearly know what the people want, so i salute you for that.
Great music, boat ride is fun and a party atmosphere!
MY FRIEND & I RECENTLY WENT ON THE HALLOWEEN GHOST CRUISE, & APART FROM A FEW RAINDROPS WE HAD AN EPIC NIGHT!...WE GOT TO VIEW A FULL RAINBOW, & WE DANCED A LITTLE...MUSIC WAS GREAT!...ONCE AGAIN THANK U FOR A MEMORABLE NIGHT.
Blues Bros cruise -not enough Blues Brothers music was played but was still a fantastic night on board the Cutler
Had a great experience aboard this vessel, the crew were fantastic, friendly and did their best to keep everyone happy. The food was very nice also, overall recommend a trip on this boat for whatever event you are planning. Nice to say G'day to the Capt as well, will recommend this to others.
If you go for the burlesque, the girls are amazing.
The boats staff are useless, I seriously had to tell a bartender what gin was and how to make a gin and tonic.
Enjoyed my experience. Friendly staff. Disappointed with the time it took to be served a very basic meal
Boarding time is too much 1 hr and its difficult to find a place to sit once you board. Also the waiting time for food order is too long atleast 45 mins from the time you order. I suggest you can come late and just come 10 mins prior to boarding so that the wait time is reduced. My suggestion to management to include only seats you can accomodate and serve properly.
Fantastic crew delivered a wonderful experience with great food, an excellent bar at reasonable prices and a great tour from Docklands down to Williamstown and back. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Will come back again.
What better way to see the start of Leg 4 of the Volvo Ocean Round the World Yacht Race than on the historic Lady Cutler.
Jockeying for position amongst a large spectator fleet was challenging, however the skipper was in the perfect spot for the start.
After the start, we followed down Port Phillip Bay for about 20 minutes, then casually cruised back to Harbour Esplanade.
Ok. Pretty old, dated and dirty. Great staff but they appeared to be bored. Smelt like a good old fashioned pub but it had less atmosphere. Very little seating and we finished our cruise 1 hr earlier than expected. It was a ok night but I wouldnt go again.
