Overall pizza was ok, nothing special. 1st when I ordered the pizza I asked if the Chicago style was the pizza with the carmalized crust. Person on phone said we don t have that we have lChicago style pizza. I ordered and arrived @ La Barra I waited 7-8 minutes for someone to come to the pick up counter, I paid. Then it was a search for my pizza for another 7-8 minutes. First it wasn t done and still in the oven, then they started opening up pizza boxes in the warmer trying to locate. Then it was back to the cooks who came over and again started opening up pizza boxes. Finally the kid brought over the box opened it and said is this your pizza? Never ordered from here so said I don t know you tell me, never been here. He said it is. I don t wanna throw him under the bus cuz I think he was a delivery driver just trying to help, the girl that rang me up (very pretty brunette girl) disappeared after she thought my pizza was in the oven, SMH, it was in the warmer. Thanks to the delivery kid who actually looked or I d still be standing there. Again average pizza but not worth the price for the unorganized staff and cost. Maybe had I got it home hot it would have been better. Won t return.

I enjoyed the pizza but they had no chocolate milk or pink/rasberry lemonade..... I mean come on what restaurant doesn't have the two best drinks ever. If you enjoy decent pizza, decent service and poor beverage choices I would recommend this place bud if you have kids 9-12 just let them no that here is not much verity in the beverage selection.
More dance dance party is please! DJ Perry was wonderful. It was a great crowd out there. Pizza is okay. Service is great. Fun atmosphere if you're going there to dance. Have not been there to actually eat in the restaurant so I can't vouch for that. It's a beautiful scenic view.
Called in an order for a pizza. Came after 50 minutes to pickup the pizza. The pizza was not ready, the host went back to the kitchen to ask for the pizza, from the sound of the conversation the pizza went to the wrong person. Said that our pizza would be another 10 minutes because it looked "wrong". Took another 30 minutes. Really unprofessional host. Pizza was just ok.
We have been there several times and they are much better as a small plate and pizza spot. Very limited main courses and not very tasty considering the location. Poor service for a larger group. The steak offering was very poor and certainly not the description.
Table and booth were dirty when we were seated. They were out of one of their featured drinks, on a Friday night! One of our orders was not made right and we had to wait about 15 minutes before they brought out ther correct order. Food was decent.
Appetizers are good. We had the rock shrimp and braciole. Shared the thin crust and the 10" was more than enough for two ppl. Plenty of options from sandwiches to pastas as well. Would recommend for a quick eat. Not impressed with the Frose though.
This is my go to Italian spot, a true hidden GEM The atmosphere is always LIT, the food is always on point! I had the Brussel sprouts and the Arugula salad, not eating meat right now, it's something here for everybody!
Popeye is a great choice for a pan pizza. Love the burnt cheese crust, similar to Pequoids. Staff is friendly, location is clean and has plenty of parking. Worth a try!
Absolutely delicious and competitively priced. Margarita pizza, grilled and fried calamari were superb. Two thumbs up and highly recommended. Already ordered again from this place
The food was good. Unfortunately we went there when the bartender called off. We went there around 1 in the afternoon. The service was Very Slow. I'll give it one more try.
Food was very good, server was lousy. We made reservations 3 months prior for a party of ten. We said we'd be there for a reunion , would be there a while & would tip accordingly- and we did. The server brought coffee, no creaM or sugar, napkin or spoon. So we asked for them. 10 minutes later he brings a spoon. My coffee is luke warm now & still no cream. 2 trips later he brings napkins, still no cream or sugar. I am getting ticked by now so I asked him to replace the cold black coffee with a fresh hot cup when he brings cream & sugar. 10 more minutes Nd multiple trips back to the table with various plates, and finally I get my coffee & cream etc. Meanwhile he brings only a few people salad or soup, others got entrees but no salad or silverware or napkins. The meal continues piecemeal & very disjointed for all of us. We tried to make the best of it. And the the say we had to leave now because they were expecting another party for our large table! So we ask to have our food in a box to go. They only bring one item in the box. They threw away the other meal. They are rushing us out now tho no other customers are in sight. We call a manager who says she will prepare a fresh item to replace what they tossed out. We are saying we'll forget it & want to leave now. Manager insists we wait for replacement food, which was nice. We finally left with replacement food. Still getting rushed out the door with no other customers in sight. It was a miserable experience. Pizza was good, lasagna was huge, portions very large. Service gets NO STARS. We will not be back
My wife and I were greeted at the door with big smiles. We chose to sit at the bar and we're immediately served by Martin the bartender. He suggested several wines and Specialty dishes for us to try. The food was great and the service was outstanding! The manager even checked in on us. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone for a casual dining experience. We will definitely be back.
Stopped in for happy hr. Great deal on small plates at half price. We ordered t dishes all of which we're great except the seafood salad. That one was kind of phoned in with generic shrimp etc. We'll be back.
This place puts cheese ON the crust when cooking, what a great surprise when you bite into the crispy cheesy crust! Try to sit on the patio if you can, great ambiance and a nice place to relax!
I went there with some friends last week and the Assistant Geneal Manager, Sean was very rude and abrasive. Seemed to have an attitude and when one of us asked for his card after he identified himself as the AGM he took out his card acting like a big shot and threw it on the bar for us. He must be proud. Big shot runs a pizza place. Next time we'll have to take our business elsewhere.
I chose this for our Mother s Day casual dinner. Our waiter was slammed and was behind, but we weren t in a big hurry. We ordered the Richies Italian beef pizza but our waiter only put in for an Italian beef - when mentioned it to him he apologized but didn t offer to correct, bring any on giardiniera on the side or discount our bill. I mentioned it to the manager on the way out too and he said how unfortunate. Disappointed in the customer service and won t be coming back. I don t understand how restaurants can lack this basic customer service- a good experience brings people and their friends back, a bad experience makes you want to tell the world not to go there.
Came in from out of town visiting my coworkers. (9/8) We decided to go here for some drinks and food. We arrived at 4pm. we noticed the place only had one couple sitting there, so we thought maybe there were still closed. We sat by the bar and noticed people were setting up chairs, etc. The bartender came over, taller gentleman, darker hair, looked Greek, Serbian, etc. We gave our drink orders. 15 minutes later, we received our first round of drinks. After about a half an hour, we were already for our next round of drinks. Our "bartender" was no where to be found nor asked us if we needed anything. We went to the bar and ordered our own drinks for the next round. It kept going downhill from there. Now there were three bartenders behind the bar and our mystery waiter/whatever he was. Two of our guests left. We wanted food. Again, we went to the bar to order our food, no one was coming to us. We informed the bartender we were running to the bathroom and would be right back. We return to our table, our drinks were gone. We got new drinks for free and our food arrived very quickly. I ordered a small plate of the meatballs...they were decent. My co-worker ordered chicken alfredo....nothing special. We had some zucchini things as a app. We were done eating, no one came and provided us a box, besides the bus boy. Finally we got up again, paid our bill at the bar. Some of the worst service I had in a long time.
Great server! We had three lil ones running around the party room. And I kind of kept knocking things over on accident. She was accepting of it all! Pizza is delicious as always. Wish I could have got their mac and cheese.
We had our engagement party at La Barra this past weekend and it was amazing! Shout out to our coordinator Amy, server Kayla and bartender Albert for honestly being so amazing and helpful. They were two steps ahead of us the whole way through and constantly checked in to make sure everything was going well. We had a great time, our family LOVED the food, and the graffiti wall in the patio area is the perfect photo backdrop which was another family favorite!
High-quality Italian dining with a laid back atmisphere and well trained staff. Exceptional seafood and past make this upscale restaurant well worth the cost.
Amazing! La Barra has become our regular spot now. From a weekend dinner to a Tuesday night Ladies night, gives my wife and me a chance to unwind! Great food, great service, awesome people! Ive read some negative reviews with slow service, and I feel like the expectations were probably too high. They have an occasional very busy night, where service is slower than usual, but its reasonable . So please check it out for yourself! We highly recommend, and we will keep on coming again and again! Highly recommend the Barese Sausage and Peppers from their appetizer menu! Be sure to check out the Riverside location also!
While it's a limited menu, the small plates were great. I'd recommend the meatballs, short ribs, and goat cheese. Nice, friendly staff and the food came out quickly.
My new favorite restaurant! Their salads, pasta, calamari, and pizza are out of this world. I crave their Chicken Milanese salad all the time, but have to check myself so I don't go broke! The service is wonderful. My new go to spot for date night or when family is in town.
I tried the vodka sauce and Alfredo pasta. Both disappointing, the flavors were not there. It wasn t good and didn t taste authentic at all. The fried calamari was okay. The pepperoni pizza too greasy. Very Americanized and way too expensive for the quality of the food. Not worth the prices. Overall good customer service.
Should be less than a 1 on the ratings. Had reservations. 20 minutes after reservation time, finally seated. After being seated, another 15 minutes before someone even came up to greet us. Main meals came out staggered so noone was able to eat together. I am not talking about appetizers, the entrees. Wife's gnocchi way over cooked and inedible. My teenage kid that never passes on meatballs, no matter where they are from, he could not eat them, terrible. I had their pizza and it was ok. Definitely will never eat here again.
My friends surprised me with a wonderful birthday dinner at La Barra, a place we tend to frequent at least twice a month, and this visit was no exception. We sat out on the patio, which is equipped with a full bar and roughly 2 dozen tables and settings for any size party that plans to visit. The patio itself is heated in the winter with high-quality heat lamps as well as large glass-enclosed fire pits. In good weather, the patio sits right up against a really lovely pond and, with the right lighting (subtle and understated, not gaudy or garrish), makes for a cozy and inviting dinner setting. To add, they also have 2 private rooms you can rent out for nearly any occasion, and they are typically being used when we have visited. On this particular night, La Barra featured a DJ, who was kind enough to dedicate 2 songs to me and wish me a Happy Birthday announcement more than once. And he wasn't half bad- took requests and played a good combination of classics and Top 40s, along with some decent dance music. People were up and dancing too, so he did a good job. Backtrack a little to why we visit so regularly and if you haven't yet tried the place, I hope you do. The house manager, Alicia, is fantastic. She's everywhere and knows everything and is so friendly and upbeat, you can't help but have it rub off a little. The staff in general is fantastic. We have a few regular bartenders and waiters that know us by name and favorite drink. They have a decent size specialty cocktail list but any of the bartenders are adept at concocting whatever you fancy. As for the food, it's a midgrade-upscale Italian, and isn't incredibly simple nor pretentious. The pizza is always scrumptious and they have a variety of toppings that include italian beef with spicy peppers, artichoke, or for the less adventerous, their magherita pizza is enjoyable too. Braciole - a short rib with a creamy cheesy polenta- is one of my favorite dishes. I have Doordashed once or twice when I've had a craving. Worth it. My son, who is autistic and 17 years old, a picky picky eater, can even find a half dozen menu items that he just loves. It's listed as casual dining but overall, a great place for a first date, anniversary or birthday celebration, a family night out, or girls night out. They're very versatile and that's something hard to pull off just right.
And if you find yourself there, don't skimp on the desserts. Anything from the menu is amazing. La Barra is open 7 days a week for lunch or dinner, and can get pricey- the only drawback- depending on your meal and how many cocktails you order. Overall, a consistently great experience if you're looking for a nice night out.
My boyfriend and I thought that we d try La Barra since we were in the area. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the bar looks awesome. We arrived during happy hour and got two drinks, plus two pasta entrees. They were delicious and well portioned. We saw other tables get bread and olive oil but never received ours... this is our favorite part of dining at an Italian restaurant! The manager came over to say hello and took our dessert orders. The chocolate risotto cake and apple crostata were so yummy. I recommend this place for a fun date night, but hopefully you get bread!!
Really like Labriola, can't say the same for La Barra. Went for happy hour. You have to sit at the bar, not the best. Service was slow even though they weren't that busy. Food was good not great. Pizza sub par over priced. Bill inaccurate.
Real tasty basic pizzas and good thin crust. Had an issue with our order, and they promptly corrected it while letting us munch on the first pizza in the meantime.
