Over booked reservations again. Told us we were 10th in line even though we made reservation 4 days in advance. Ruined our night.

Great pizza! Thin pepperoni with bacon so good. We were there early afternoon and enjoyed a relaxed lunch on the patio.
Great food, great service and a perfect party room for our bday bash!
One of the best artesian pizza place. Arugula salad and zucchini frette is great starter. Back patio is great for summer. Kids love it. Great job Rich Labriola and team!
Food was tasty, service was relatively slow, although we had went later in the evening and there was almost no one at the reataurant. Not a top pick but the food palatable.
Great food and great outdoor patio area. Service is also always spot on.
La Barra has a happy hour with half price appetizers and well drinks from 4-7. They are tasty with high quality ingredients. Highly recommended.
Great pizza... Great service... Pan pizza takes 45min
Top notch service, but didn't try anything other than pizza! It was served during a presentation.
Had a great evening, staff was awesome, food was great.
The outdoor heated tent is very warm, spacious and Covid safe. We got seated right next to the roaring outdoor fireplace, and everything we tasted was delicious. We got the Burger, the Basil & Berra Pizza & the Salumi Tasting. The Salumi Tasting this time had the ricotta with honey as part of it! Plus some cool sweet breads, a couple meets and cheese!
We brought our two little daughters and they were very welcoming and had highchairs.
We will be back
Ordered a deep dish. Perfect ratio of cheese, sauce, and toppings. This is my new go-to spot, probably the best deep dish I've had in Chicago.
The food is delicious , the patio is awesome.
Enjoy this restaurant every time.
Amazing staff, food was so good and plentiful. This is a great place and we will definitely be coming back.
We had a wonderful evening at La Barra, their deep dish pizza has had a special place in our heart and stomach since the beginning (#PizzaBarra).
Tonight we started with grilled calamari and the zucchini fritti. The calamari had the right kind of char taste with a very nice olive dipping sauce. The zucchini fritti were fried to perfection and came with a tomato dipping sauce.
As our main, we had the burrata/basil deep dish. It was the best yet! Keep doing whatever your team did tonight. The crust was perfection and the ratio of tomato to cheese was just right.
We have come to this location many times over the years and tonight was extra special. Our server Joseph went above and beyond to bring us a dessert that was no longer on the menu (the almond cake) from nearby Labriola cafe.
We had Joseph as a server before and he has always been incredibly kind and genuine. Thank you again Joseph was providing us the highest level of service! It s always a pleasure.
Service was a bit slow but we were a big party and the place was busy. The food though was very good. The deep dish was good, the pasta was good and the sides were good as well. Will go back to try the artisan pizzas
Beautiful setting. Great service. Great appetizers but not enough non-dairy options.
Went here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the waiter informing us it was Happy Hour . I am not sure of the timeframe of Happy Hour but we got there at about 3:45pm. What great appetizers and drinks!!! Will definitely be back!
Great food especially the meatball appetizers. Great atmosphere. Wilm definitely be back!
Met friends and had pizza and drinks st the bar. Nice atmosphere
Sad to write this since the food is excellent but the service was terrible. Sat unattended for way too long, even after we finally flagged a busboy. Just got worse from there.
The Food was very very good, it was my first time. I would recommend LaBarra for excellent food.
I was there for a bridal shower over the weekend. It was a wonderful venue and the food was fabulous!
Great service. Good pizza. Will come back for more.
Thicker crust pizza wasn't bad, but was a little burnt on the bottom. Will go back to try the thin crust
This is the Best Restaurant in Oak Brook! Richie La Briola you are genius!!!
Huge outdoor seating area with a view. Great happy hour food/drink specials.
Food is good, Service is HORRIBLE!
I went there the 1st time and me and a friend split the bill, they charged her card for half and mine for the full amount, when I pointed it out, charged for the whole amount again! Then a 3rd time for the half.
Took a few days to get the money back on my card
So I figured, it's a fluke and went again about a month later. there were 3 people in the bar with 2 bartenders. Both acknowledged my existence and then after 10 minutes brought me a menu while failing to ask if I wanted a drink, while sitting at the bar! Then 5 minutes later finally asked me if I wanted a drink. Ummm, yes, I am sitting at the bar. Finally got my weak poorly made drink and sat there for another 30 minutes before they broke away from the rush of the same only 3 other people in the place to see if I was ok. I had finished my drink 10 minutes prior.
I gave this place 2 chances, there definitely won't be a 3rd.
Get your acts together, you are supposed to be a nice restaurant in Oak Brook, act like it!
Service could have been better. Cool enclosed patio area
We went here for Mother s Day... This was our first and last time. For starters we made reservations over a week ago. When we arrived we had to wait about 5 minutes which was fine. We overheard the host say, Just put a folding table out, that will be fine. Horrible! They put us right behind the bar, and some of our guests got bumped... We asked for a different table, and they looked at us like we had 4 heads... once we moved to a new table everything went downhill from there.... Service SUCKS!!!!!!! Extremely Slow!!! Our waitress admitted to us that it was her first day so we couldn t be frustrated with her... Why wouldn t you put her with someone to showdow??? Why set someone up to fail. I could get into more details as to why we will not be returning, but I d be here all night. I really hope management and staff get on the same page because the food really is good! And this place has a lot of potential.
Service: HORRIBLE
Food: OUTSTANDING
Only if their service could be as good as their food.
The first time I went it was a very busy Saturday night. Ordered a Pizza Barra Supreme pan pizza. They came out with a sausage instead. Gave us our correct pizza in 45 mins-to go bc I refused to wait after I had already waited an hour and 35 mins. Our server seemed inexperienced. We got a free pizza but it would've been worth the wait the first time not at home reheated.
Today I decided to give it another chance. This time around 5, I feared going later would increase my chance of what happened the first time.
Unfortunately, it wasn't any better.
I clearly repeated myself to our server 3 times for a 14" pan pizza with customized toppings. In about 40 mins I received a thin crust pizza.
Received that pizza free but it definitely wasn't enough to fill out stomachs.
Probably won't be eating here again until I'm ready to be disappointed and wait double the time for the correct pizza.
But the fresh berries cheesecake is really delicious.
I think a little overpriced for the sub par food we all had 3 of us each with a different dish and if you have a good Italian mother she probably would have turned her nose or the plate away. However we will give them a try again.
Pizza ok , everything else not good, service terrible
Went here with a large group of 12 last Saturday, and the place was packed, with somewhat predictable results even for a restaurant with a solid rep. The pizzas half the table ordered garnered no complaints, but another friend complained that the gnocchi was either underdone or overcooked and the pasta in my orecchiette was a bit short of _al dente_ as well. Definitely a place worth going back to, but they were probably just overworked that night due to the predictably sardine-can nature of the crowd that was there on a Saturday night.
Went on lady's night Tuesday at 8pm was seated in booth in bar area. Very loud and there was no one dancing, kind of bizarre. Waited 10 minutes before a server came over for a drink order. Waited an additional 20 until we gave up on ordering food, closed the check and left. Menu sounds great, but I won't be returning
The service was excellent. The pizza tasted great. They have figured out how to get the right consistency in the crust and balancing cheese and tomato sauce. And of course you can't go wrong with gelato.
The pizza was good. I liked the goat cheese appetizer and the antipesto salad more then the pizza though. The waitress was in a hurry tho to get us out of the table I would understand if there was a line of people waiting to get a table but there wasn't. Her rushing us was a bit of a turn off I wish the host was waiter instead because he was very kind and personable.
We have been to La Barra five or six times, and shared this place with family and friends who agree wholeheartedly that this place is excellent! Always awesome service and food, and great atmosphere. We ve been waited on multiple times by Angel, who is always friendly and attentive! Not a single complaint, and will be back again soon!
How do you not work working here horrible establishment and very unfriendly there and unsanitary!!!!
Absolutely love this place. Their pizza has fresh ingredients and made to perfection. Don't mind the calories when it comes to this place.:)
Pizza is downright amazing. Only downside is that it is overpriced.
Always down to try something new, we ordered the nduja pizza... And it was definitely new. I don't think either of us were quite expecting that. Tasty, nonetheless, but strange. On a chilly day, the inside was warm and inviting, the staff friendly, and the garlic knots flaky.
All around not too shabby.
Pizza is outstanding. Thick or thin pizza is great. They use very good quality ingredients and are very reasonably priced. I would recommend this pizza over any other Chicago style pizza chain.
A must eat when you are in the Chicago area. Great food, live music, great staff. Anoverall positive experience that won t disappoint.
Very nice food, superb ambience and outdoor patio is great for lunch/Dinner in summer. Customer service was great as well. Menu is good too with good vegetarian options.
I don't know what kind of ladies night is that if a man can win Louboutin shoes. That is not professional.
The pizza was great, regrettably the service wasn't on par. Wasn't very welcoming at all, wait staff wasn't attentive at all and when they brought us our pizza(which wasn't by our waitress) they just put the pizza on the table and left. We weren't give enough plates or silverware for our party(6 ppl). I'd never eat there again but would do carryout/delivery.
Loved this place! Authentic Chicago Italian food! I enjoyed my visit the waiter was attentive and management came out to say hi.
The deep dish was wonderful and we sort of got more then we bargained for...which is great!
The drinks were strong and we enjoyed our time here.
I will definitely be back
We loved the food wine and beer. The server went out of his way to help us.
Decent food. Huge menu. We went on a weeknight and didn't wait at all.
The deep dish pizza rivals anyone and the environment is very relaxing with great service.
Had dinner there last night and it was absolutely horrible. Fruit flies were swarming us. I brought it to the attention of the waiter and he said, "yeah, sorry about that, they weren't this bad a couple of days ago." He never offered to bring the manager over and discuss the fruit flies. I watched another couple become so disgusted with the fruit flies that they left. If there are fruit flies in the dining room, I can't even imagine what is going on in the kitchen and bar areas. The food was gross. I had the chicken parmesan and the one piece was completely pink in the center. I will not return and not refer anyone to this restaurant. If I could not give any stars I would.....
Went to La Barra this evening with my family. The service was excellent. Food was good just not for the price. I just cant get past the price of a pizza there.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere on the patio. Will be back.
Where do I start? Well. We had a new server who was trying her hardest. We came for my daughters 21st bday and they gave her a fried cannolo pie with gelato so that was sweet. I had the occhietti, hubby had chicken Florencio very large portion, great for keto! Daughter had salmon, boyfriend had frutti di mare, lobster, shrimp, mussels and calamari with marinara. I've attached pictures. Hubby loved the minestrone! They had my favorite Fried breaded provelone!! So I had 2 orders because we split it. The shrimp appetizer was sooo good. They have Peroni on tap and my fav prosecco. Before the state shuts down again u have to come here and sit on the deck and eat it was beautiful. Service was a tad slow but like I said she was new. The pond makes it look so nice while your eating. Im italian and we usually make family's recipes but I liked this place. The ambiance was great.
We recently had our company holiday party on 12/14/2018.
We were served family style and from the many dishes, it was one disappointment after another. The salads were great however, everything after the salad was a disappointment. The pasta dishes - garganelli panna prosciutto and cream sauce had no flavor not a dash of salt and the cream sauce had no flavor of cheese; orecchitte Calabrease - was flavorful and that was contributed from the sausage and nothing else.
Main dishes- Seared Salmon - the plate served at my table fish was great not over cooked however, salmon served at the other tables complained the fish was over cooked - as for the risotto general conscientious was that it was so bland. Braciole- the polenta was very bland and the semiglace was very salty. Chicken Florencio served at my table was good however, plates served at other tables were complaining that the chicken was raw.
This is the second year our company has hosted the holiday party at La Barra. If future holiday parties are held at La Barra, I hope it will not be such a disappointment....prior parties were held at Antico Posto there were no disappointments there.
A friend and I went for happy hour and had a fantastic meal of small plates and discounted wine. Had the asparagus, roasted Brussels sprouts, bragiole & polenta, roasted beets, & goat cheese dish. All were excellent and can't beat the prices at half off.
Food was very good and service too, kitchen was slow. Likely better when not in a pandemic
Joe was a great bartender.! So nice and such a great personality, he was attentive and always ready for a conversation
4 stars for food. 0 stars for service. Our waitress was incredibly rude. When we initially sat down I thought that maybe that was just her demeanor. However, after witnessing her interact with her other tables it was very clear that we were being discriminated against. She failed to offer us specials or discuss their loyalty program like she did with the other tables. She pressured us into ordering more food and drinks by continuing to ask us over and over again until we relented. All while giving us dirty looks and exasperated sighs. Sorry La Barra, we will not be visiting again with this type of staff on board.
Never a bad experience! Great food, amazing service. Both Angels (the server and bartender) very knowledgeable and gave awesome recommendations from the menu. Will be back!
This place is a good stop to get a drink, maybe some appetizers or food. Last time we stopped by was at lunch time and the place had plenty of seats to choose from. The menu has a lot of comfort food and it includes some salads. But the drinks were of good taste.
There is plenty of parking in the front and they have inside seating as well as outdoor. if you seat outside, there is a lake right next to the pace so it is relaxing and makes you feel like you are somewhere else. Or at least it did for me. There is a large bar if you are just here to have some drinks and you do not want to wait for a table.
Will stop by to have drinks next time.
Wow, went on a fluke had a thin crust sausage pizza wow is all I can say what a great pizza, the grilled romaine salad was great too and the service from Danny was great too.will be going back soon.
Waiter was extremely slow. Pizza was burnt... on the bottom and on the sausage on top. After we finished eating, the waiter did not appear at our table for approximately 35 mins! I also asked if there was a small dessert available for a birthday and was told yes. Never received it!!! Will give it one more try.
Decent atmosphere. Food was expensive and not great Italian food for the money. They also quoted me 35+ minutes to get a THIN crust pizza, which is insanity.
DUFF IS THE STUFF!! We came in for drinks, but will for sure be back for drinks/food! He made us feel super welcome and took care of us!!! Amazing service!!! He even took us out to the patio just to capture the perfect photo! Cannot wait to come back!
