This was simply the best dining experience I have ever had. The attention to detail and customer service was amazing and the food and setting is just outstanding. Thank you for making a special occasion perfect.

Good menu, and very nice setting! Nevertheless beware of the sommeliers (They were two present) whose level is below average: They do not even know how to recognize a corked wine and have no knowledge in old wines.
I come to this place for another reason than the duck: it is the only table in Paris which offers old vintage wines at reasonable prices!
My second bottle, a bordeaux 1981 following the 1976 montrachet chassagne was unfortunately corked! and they refused to change it ... it's incredible for a table that claims such a prestigious position.
(I am a professional in Bordeaux wine, a wine merchant family since 1910)
Otherwise the dishes were excellent, it was my third visit and I have never been disappointed with the dishes.
Be careful with a little thing anyway for those who want to choose knowing prices: there is no indication of price on the card or on the three menus offered! ...
The prices are only indicated on the wall at the entrance to the 1st floor on the right when entering.

Wonderful architecture, excellent service, a unique view of Paris and a very refined place, unique details in the decoration, including historical objects. A place like few. With a unique cellar and with history.

Incredible service and attention to detail. Meal was absolutely amazing. View is spectacular. Finally I made the reservation 3 months in advance and noted it was to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. They remembered and brought us a discrete extra dessert treat.

I love this restaurant for several reasons. It's old school. The patrons dress so nicely. It's a romantic place with a great view. Food is great. And while I like Italian red wine over French red, I've never seen such a deep French wine list.

A fine dining restaurant with a beautiful view and a lovely atmosphere. Attention to detail and amazing service from the waiters. Picture of the wine list posted. Its a landmark and one of the oldest restaurants in Paris but they only had a french menu so the waiter translated and it made it a bit tough to order and you didnt really know what you were getting until it came.

Excellent, always a pleasure to come to this magical place, filled with emotion, where time stands still during mealtime.
The new Chef Yannick Franques, gives a revival to the menu, continuing the history of this menu. Always with the presence of Mr. Terrail through his grandson who visits the tables to greet the guests.

I have been here multiple times and yet never reviewed it. Let's correct this travesty now!

This is an excellent restaurant! What else does one need to know?

The service is impeccable! They great you downstairs and make you comfortable (with champagne of course!) The the service when you go upstairs gets no reproach from me. My wife was very happy with the attention, their quickness to answer your requests and their knowledge of what you might want to eat that night. Though my father and I have always chosen to eat the "Caneton Presse."

The menu is mostly incredible dishes! My mother and wife has always gone with the a la carte. But my father and I share their signature dish. If you go there, you must have two people eat that dish. And you also have a card with the number of your caneton printed on it. I still have mine stashed in my desk right now.

The wine list is a wine lovers' dream! Splurge a bit and enhance your night further! Their sommelier has always advised me to the greatest wine to pair with the various dishes!

The view from the restaurant is incredible. And it is very much fun to watch the bateau-mouche pass by on the Seine!

The only drawback: as you can guess, it's the price. A good evening for two people can go up to 2000 euros. But that is just me. Just tell your server and he/she will recommend what would fit you best. Especially when it involves wine!

You should make a reservation when you go. I go there at dusk. I like the atmosphere of Kioicho in Japan (I'm sorry that there is a photo of a celebrity who visited the store in Paris !!). I think the food and staff service are top notch.

- staff blocks in the 80s, unable to get out an understandable sentence in English
- Merlot is over 100, dry and tasteless

- sommelier blase and without enthusiasm

Sincerely disappointed, well received until arrival in the room.
Difficulty getting a smile from a waiter.
A report quality price frankly more than disappointing, and the last straw, to be taken again by the director of the room for having made him notice that the toilet tissue box is exhausted. To be treated as dishonest in front of my guests by the same room manager because I can be heard criticizing the corner of my ear service, unheard of for me in a starred restaurant. I leave you 2 star rating for the shape and your superb wine list. Crowned heads you may be better received, but as a standard Human I am unlikely to represent myself at this establishment. Good luck keeping your star.

Perfection in every detail starting with the presentation of your wine selection: presentation, protocol in opening, filtering & transferring to a vessel. Followed by each course, cooked exactly as ordered & accompanied with the perfect sauce for the dish. Dinning perfection

Great!

Great!
Australian guests who came to celebrate their 50th anniversary have reserved a table at the Tour d'Argent to close their one-month trip to France.
A week to go home, Jeffrey is hospitalized in Libourne for serious illness.
The Tour d'Argent refuses to reimburse the two menus already settled.
Long live French hospitality.

Prestigious restaurant with superb surroundings and original views especially at night.
Staff in plethoric room but little motivated.
The cuisine is original, the wines are endless but overpriced. Consequence .... even if this type of institution has heavy loads it is necessary that the report quality price is justified.
To date this is not the case .....
I hope the new leader will ensure that this is corrected and that we go out saying "the price is worth it"
We will come back to try a 3rd time!

Well, I'm not going back to *this* place.

Well, I'm not going back to *this* place.

I'm not going to get the best meal of my life again, and I'm not going to do it on another beautiful evening. I'm certainly not going to have impeccable service, with everything in perfect place. There definitely won't be the chance to let the chef choose the meal again, allowing each dish to work in harmony with its predecessor. I'm not going to have the opportunity to let an expert sommelier recommend the perfect wines from a cellar of half a million bottles, and then find that those two carefully chosen bottles are excellent accompaniments for every course. I definitely won't get fantastic dishes at every turn that tease my palate with contrasting sights, textures, flavors, and aromas.

We had an exceptional experience at the Tour d'Argent one Saturday evening. The view was perfect we were seated by the window and everything we ordered was delicious. They have one of the most impressive wine cellars in the world. The wine list was literally the size of an encyclopaedia. The sommelier knew it by heart and recommended the perfect pairings, which were not necessarily the most expensive bottles on the list. Tour d'Argent is obviously very, very pricey, but it's a once in a lifetime experience, best shared with amazing company to complement the setting, the service and the food.

Spectacular view! Room aging despite the renovation (horrible ceiling). Tariffs charged too high for what was offered. Pleasant and responsive service (watch out for old-fashioned outfits ...).

We went for lunch at the finest French restaurant famous for duck dishes.
I requested JCB Plaza Lounge Paris for reservations two days before the scheduled date, but I was able to make a reservation safely because it was lunch. In advance information such as guide books, there was a dress code, but since I suddenly decided to visit, I did not bring a jacket jacket from Japan. On the day, I went to Y-shirts with slacks and leather shoes with anxiety, but nothing was said and there was no problem. The clothes at lunch seemed not to be so nervous. I went to the seat and looked at the menu, but in French it was a dick, so when I told me I wanted to eat duck food in English, I chose the duck lunch course. He was unfamiliar with luxury stores and was nervous at first, but he was very kind and polite when he told him he did n t know what he did n t understand. The food was really good and I could order some wines in a glass so I enjoyed it. I forgot the exact price, but I think the lunch course was about 70 euros. A glass of wine was around 15-30 euros.
And there is a wine shop with the same name as the restaurant across the road from the restaurant entrance. The glass door at the entrance is an electric lock, so you can open it by looking into the store and knocking. An elderly gentleman with a very gentle smile and a nice smile is available, but he is very kind and will speak English. The restaurant sells wine selected by the restaurant, and there are many wines labeled with the name of Tour d'Argent. The price here was very reasonable and I felt it was around 15-30 euros. If you buy the same or equivalent wine in Japan, it will be about 3 times the price. If you buy here, you can put as much wine into the original paper box and put it in a fine handbag. I think that it is the best place to buy as a souvenir.

I knew that I d be impressed by the wine list (the largest in France) but the food was firing on all cylinders as well. The wine list has some real values to be found in some older vintages. We drank a white burgundy for that was listed at half what it s listed for at retail. Go for lunch and request a table by the window for a killer view of Notre Dame.

Anniversary dinner in this classic of Paris, a dream place with breathtaking views of the Seine River and the Notra Dame Cathedral, we really liked the magnificent attention and the magnificent food. I recommend the whim of dining in this place (be careful, the price is not cheap)

I was younger, I lived in Muette with a husband and a daughter. Going to the Tour d 'Argent was magnificent, all smiling, discreet, full of attention, cared for down to the smallest detail. Soft lights, very selected flowers and the cornflower in the eyelet of the very elegant patron. Exceptional food. Delicious dessert wine and you went out light anyway. !
