We made a stop at La Station a couple weeks back and enjoyed our morning coffee and light bites to eat. This is a very good little coffee shop just off Queen's Road East in Wan Chai. Opening hours are 8am to 6.30pm daily.

On this occasion we enjoyed the flat white coffee, almond croissant and croque monsieur. Espresso still tastes too citrusy for my liking. However, the bean is perfect for milk coffee drinks, giving them strong and nice flavour. The foods were very good as expected, a nice option for those seeking something light and familiar first thing in the morning.

There is a handful of seating available at La Station. Alternatively, just take your order to-go like many of the locals who frequent this place. Modelled after the inside of an underground station in Paris, this is a neat place to try if you are staying in a Wan Chai area hotel and looking for a coffee place during your visit to HK.

I ordered ice flat white and croissant, but both were delicious :)
I've been to some of the famous cafes for coffee, but I personally remember it. The staff is friendly and the interior is unique, so I felt different from other cafes. Leave a review before coming back soon: D

I have been here a couple of times and on both visits, the staff were courteous and friendly. The coffee was also delicious and well prepared. There isn t a ton of seating so I wouldn t recommend this place if you re planning a marathon study session. This is truly a place where you should go and enjoy coffee with a friend. You can sit overlooking the street and it s a perfect place for people watching. They do great sweets but there s also the Eric Kayser bakery just up the street.

One of my favorite coffee shops in town. Small little shop. Staff there are always very friendly. Their coffee is consistently much better than any of the other chains i.e. Starbucks and PCC. Coffee is perfectly roasted and not over done like S. A little nutty without the strong acid like many places out there. Conveniently located in Wan Chai. Lovely place!

I'm surprised to see reviews praising the coffee here. I tried both the cappuccino and the latte and they are unequivocally bad.

My rating is based on the following:

Coffee: 1.5 stars
Environment: 3 stars

The cappuccino had no foam what so ever and even with the milk the bitterness of the coffee really cut through. The coffee is strong so if you need a pick me up this would do. Using Starbucks as a baseline for average. This coffee is below that standard.

The latte wasn't much better. The coffee was really bitter and you don't get any silky smoothness from the milk. Had a hard time finishing my drink. I drink black espresso all the time so it is not because I'm not used to drinking stronger coffee that my opinion is this way.

The decoration of the place is cool, but the place is really cramped. They also only have high chairs with small tables. Sitting there for more than a few minutes was not enjoyable. There are so many better coffee choices in Wan Chai.

Summary: Okay coffee, ham and cheese croissant wasn't good. Good for grabbing a quick cuppa, not suitable for working on laptop as only bar stools available, no proper seats.

Quite a chill place to relax and wait for others in wan chai. Various coffee options available, both in cold and hot. The staff was helpful too.
Semi open area is also available.
Close to MTR station.

A perfect place to recharge. Cosy and quite independent shop which takes its coffee and food seriously. The sandwiches and pastries are always fresh and homemade. The staff are always helpful and friendly. There is a local crowd who come here, expats and Chinese, it's just for people in the know.

Recently, I have been stalking the Furong District Government. All of them have to go to the wedding garden. When they are in the wedding garden, they don t go to the coffee and sit down and chat.
Her favorite little bear menu, a natural and classical visual environment ~ is a very relaxed coffee shop.

Fantastic strong coffee and flaky croissants. This is the place to break your fast in the morning to hold yourself over for the dim sum you know you ll be craving later. They have free WiFi with the password posted next to the register. The decor of the shop is unique and there is plenty of seating, which is a plus. They cleared away dishes quickly and the wait for food and coffee was short. Friendly staff.
