La Rinascente Milano (the best department store in the world according to the Milanese) has a lovely food court on the 7th floor, which can be reached quickly via a separate elevator. The entrance to this elevator is on the side of the building in the Via S. Raffaele. Restaurant Maio serves a pretty good albeit expensive lunch outdoors.

HOME! I spend so much time at La Rinascente. Excellent selection of major brands. The homeware department is also incredible. Fine bed sheets, comfy pillows and tons of objects for the house (both in the basement and on the 6th floor). Worth a visit of the delicatessen corner packed with delicious Italian food (only the best of it). Have a drink or a meal on the terrace.. facing Duomo.
