My 4-month old puppy Huggy has had a wonderful first week at LA Dogworks. Every single person from the staff that I spoke to before, during and after her stays is always friendly, informative, and helpful. I work odd hours and LA Dogworks afforded me the flexibility to provide Huggy with entertainment, exercise and care while I m at the office. 5-stars easily.
If a reality show made your business look bad why did you sign up for it? Plus, blaming a reality show is poor business practice. If your business was really good, the reality show would've shown it. The owner's ego will be the downfall of this place.
The Profit show says this guy is horrible by the shows standards, but unless you've been to L.A Dog Works you shouldn't give a review. I've never been and I'm giving a review just because of everyone else giving bad reviews for no reason. To the owner, I would be interested in a franchise ownership on the east cost if available. The staff need to go bbb and complain. Porfit is really helps it not just a show. Just like people Court not just a show. This company is not going last long at all .

Our experience with LA Dogworks over the past 5 years has been great. Our dog loves to board there and our interaction with the staff has been great too.
I had to have my doggy stay here for 2 nights while I had to take a last second trip. I think the place was fine but you don't really know what happens while you're gone. My dog was very happy to see me. I would still prefer a friend to watch my dog. but they were good.
I'd never, ever want to use a business that treat their employees worse than I have ever seen. A boss that treats his own employees so badly, is not going to be very good with animals. Just sickening what I witnessed. The Poor people and animals that have to deal with that narcissist!
I can't say enough about LA Dogworks - they are absolutely WONDERFUL. My pup can't contain his excitement every time we bring him...the moment we even get close to dropping him off he goes absolutely CRAZY he's so thrilled! Unlike many other doggie daycare places that limit their dogs' group playtime, LA Dogworks keeps the pups out in a communal area for 12 hours a day. There is someone in the playpen supervising the dogs at all times during group playtime, so he gets TONS of safe doggie AND human interaction and socializing. They are also extremely flexible - you can pickup/dropoff ANY time, 24 hours a day, without a reservation (unless it's a holiday, then be sure to book in advance!). This place has been a LIFESAVER, not only for being able to go out of town and on trips, but also for long work days, weekend events, last minute plans, etc. Cannot recommend them more highly!!
I dont know anything about the reality show, and haven't seen or heard anything about it, nor have I ever met the owner to my knowledge.
What I do know is my Dog Fred has been going to Dogworks 1 Day a week for over 3 years, in addition to boarding there over the Holidays when I have to go home to the UK, or when I have taken weekend trips. He was an abused Rescue Dog, who was terrified of Men in particular, but ever since he has started going to Dogworks, he gets super excited when I pull up to the door to drop him off. He is happy to go with whatever staff member - even the new ones, who come out to collect him, without even giving me a second look!
Yes he's always thrilled to see me when I come back too, but he seems to really love it and the staff, and I feel throughly at ease taking him there. All of my interactions so far with Staff Members have been positive. They are all friendly and attentive, and give the impression that they enjoy working there.
My only criticism would be is that its priced on the high side, especially for loyal regular clients, and that it doesn't have a camera in the facility that allows you to view your dog, like a lot other facilities do, but I'm more than happy with their service and care for my dog, and after seeing all of these negative comments, I wanted to post a truthful comment, from a Regular Customer.
I actually know a couple people that were also on the profit, and they have nothing but great things to say about Marcus Lemonis.
Interesting take you have on the scenario. So you were well aware that this was a reality TV show and therefore you also knew you were being filmed. You were also aware that it would be aired on television and in doing so, the image your actions would portray of yourself and by proxy LA Dogworks.
Now that being said, that really only leaves two conclusions:
Firstly, you either are exactly the way your portrayed yourself to be on air, in which case I want nothing to do with your establishment, or secondly, you are an exceptionally incompetent individual incapable of making common sense decisions, which in reality (while you are taking care of someone s pets) is probably more dangerous than the first scenario.
Either way, myself or no one I know will set foot in your establishment.

Love LA Dogworks. My boy Oatie always comes home happy and tired! The fact that they re 24hrs is amazing and the hourly rates for the 1st three hours are amazing when I just want Oatie to get a quick hour run in with some friends.
Manager treats his dog better than people. if you take your dog here, owner will make sure your dog wont leave with a scratch. most people that take their dogs here value their dogs more thsn human life so it's a perfect place to take them
Hey Andrew, I saw on earlier reviews that you didn't get your money form Marcus. I love the Profit. So here I know three things-
1-They did not tell you to act like a crazy person
2-The show is not scripted
3-The deal was off so of course you didn't get your money
Matti is the best groomer in LA. I've literally had people stop me on the street to ask me if Matti did her cut!
I met with the owner today and he took extra time to train my dog among meeting her and was very personable and gave me a lot of insight on training my pup. I am excited to board my dog here. It is the only place that is 24 hours and has amazing rates. The facilities are very clean and they make sure your dog is in good hands and safely socializing. So happy I found this place!
Andrew says "the reality show is all fake", but the owner is not an actor to express that angry and rage so good, is he?

I have never been to the store, but I feel for the owner. People don t understand the overwhelming power and influence of editing that affects your perspective.
Love this place. They take great care of my pups and all the staff is incredible. Most of these reviews are off of some reality show, which I never watched. My experience has been 1. this place is awesome and 2. most reality shows are fake.
Andrew is the most EVIL person in the world.. He has a cold heart and will rot in hell for treating his employees as a slave.. I will NEVER take my dog there again.
I just wish the employees would quit and start a similar business in this area.
First day puppy day care for my puppy Kona. She didn't even give me the time of day after I dropped her off which is all I needed to see. I didn't read these review prior to taking her here, but they are clearly lashing out at a person and not the day care. I also did not see the reality show everyone is referring to but I don't care about shows I care about how well my puppy is treated and the conditions there. Without a doubt I am extremely happy with LA Dogworks in these areas. The owner even took almost an hour out of his day to spend extra time with us to show us the place, meet the employees and even a few dog training tips - none of which he had to do. My experience with him and the facility was excellent and my puppy has found her second home. I challenge the negative reviewers to focus on the services provided and how well animals are treated here.
stop blaming every bad review on the profit you need to own up to your mistakes and acknowledge the rather than give us a link to some random Marcus lemonis page if everything was fake there would not be 8 seasons and he would not be a billionaire.
You on the other hand are a fake and know nothing about managing people i have taking my dogs there once before the show even came out and i never will again. The staff are amazing and truly love animals dont get me wrong they are great.
The moment you walk into this business you feel a horrible vibe!! Don t risk your pets by going to this business!! There are so many options to take your pets and have a positive experience! Please don t waste your money on this place! You will regret it!
I've noticed if you leave one star without commenting, you are berated. If you leave five stars, with no comment, you are praised. A reality show can be taken out of context, but you were given several chances to change your ways.

Such a fun place! If I was a dog I would love it here. My bulldog has a blast running around their indoor playground. She loves the staff and their grooming stations always look clean. I love taking my dog here. Highly recommend.

Brother of worker here. He/she is still working there so I won't say names. The enviorment is toxic. Always has been. Every response to negative comment is the same. Blame the show. No sorry or taking responsibility. Same as in house. Iwould leave my pets with that staff is only reason 2 stars however because of that management no one should go here.
OUTSTANDING FACILITY STAFF IS COMPETENT, DEDICATED AND PROFESSIONAL! Owner personally make sure the dog is compatible and great match for the service they provide! He has experience and appreciate his clients! They cover it all! 24/7 open facility pretty awesome! Today I had the evaluation and because been approved tomorrow at 6 am I can drop my dude to them and be in LAX for my day in Sacramento and here you are at the evening I can go pick him up! Today after the assessment they keep him for 2 hours for free and make sure was a match! I had chance to go run my errands and go back. I got my dude back happy and tired after play all time! He was supervised all time and been taking care as I would do! I Feel comfortable to have him with in this place instead be in the back yard all day!

Hey here to say to just ignore the negativity, if you believe in your business then just continue what you do best.Lots of people like to respond out of spite because of a little video or two, as someone studying business I'd recommend to just ignore them.
James is a terrible people manager, so Marcus Lemonis, nor will anyone do business with him.
My boy Winslow LOVES daycare. Every employee i have met has been so sweet to him and
Andrew has been kind and attentive with the both of us since i started bringing him in.
These people are not afraid to look silly in order to make these dogs comfortable and Andrew never skimps on his kisses for Winslow which means the world to me. Seeing my dog so happy and at home in a place that can definitely come off as intimidating is extremely comforting.

ive watched the employees interact with him and ive seen his reaction when they come near him
if youre a dog this is the place to be; they treat every new client as if that dog were their own
i wouldn't dream of taking my baby anywhere else.

I just watch a rerun of the profit, I really hope you realize how lucky you are to have a great company. I was very happy you try to change, but it takes time. It seems your not happy around people sometimes, maybe you should hire a store manager. Then you could have more time for yourself and developing an inner peace. So much anger inside is not good for your soul. I know you care about your staff and your company, but it seems like you don't want to let your guards down. I worry about you Andrew, I used to have a boss like you. Till this day I never forget him yelling at me. Then somebody told me "hurt people= hurt people. please treat your employees good. Good Luck Andrew You have a great company.
OFMG. I don't normally give a 5 star to businesses that I have not experienced the level of service at least a dozen times or so. In this case I must make exceptions. Why? Because these idiots on here are one star reviewing a service they have never experienced. Have anyone on this board ever worked for Google, Amazon, Apple or other high performance organizations? NO. Guess what? If you have chances are you'd know more often than not there is constant pressure applied to the employees and it's not always pleasant. It's about the customer experience, not the employee experience.
Look I do not deny that the owner could use some additional soft skills with his team, but whatever he's doing behind the scene WORKS!!!
If the people he employs do not like the way they are being managed they do have options. It's called.... wait for it......QUITTING!!
With that being said, I will give my a truly unqualified 5 Star review to add to the overwhelming amount of unqualified 1 star reviews.

I'm sorry for the one star review I posted 5 months ago about your company. I'll admit it was completely wrong of me to judge a company and review it based on a reality TV show. However, to be honest, the owner did seem somewhat aggressive in his responses to other reviews and I just feel that even though the yelling and all was staged, he does seem to have that aggresive/angry behavior as seen by his response to reviews. In this manner, I won't leave a 5 star review because I've never been to this businesses and I probably never will visit this place (I'm not much of a dog person) but I will remove the one star review thanks to the Customer Care Team's clarification of the situation and willingness to accept and receive criticism.
To anyone leaving this business a one star review because of a TV show, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you have not been to the business or have interacted with the owner or employees just stop. Also if you believe everything that s on tv you re gullible, ignorant, and part of the problem with America. GO AND SEE WHAT THE BUSINESS IS LIKE PEOPLE.
Can you review a business based off reviews? Welp...here goes...there s a lot to be said about a business whose owner has time to bad mouth clients/potential clients due to a mistake that he made. YOU chose to go on the show...deal with it...people are entitled to have an opinion about your business without patronizing it, especially when the behavior of the owner is evident. I ve never watched said show so what will you blame my one star review on? It s purely your piss poor attitude.
