Great spot right on the beach as you would expect. Windows open up right only the restaurant which means you are virtually dining on the beach. Meals are typical pub fare and done well. Queue to order was disappointing considering there are tow registers but only one was in operation.

What a great venue, right on the water with the best view in the Gold Coast, or even Queensland. Makes you wonder why more beaches don't have such great facilities right on the sand. Food is good although a little expensive, but I suppose you are paying for the view.

Worst food we ve had at a club in a very long time! Tuff eye fillet, cold veges, Texas Burger is an absolute joke! Even the kids cheeseburger was well below acceptable. The only good thing about the place is the views and the building. Badly in need of a half decent chef!

I'm not a tourist/holiday maker - a local.
Great job with the premises. Plenty of staff on duty. Drinks reasonably priced compared to other GC surf clubs.
Food passable. Ordered the seafood grill after waiting in the ordering que for about 15 minutes - only one on the cash register with the que lengthening as I waited. Placed my order for two of us. Made a direct route back to my table. Literally 3 minutes later our food arrived!! My food was luke warm at best!
Clearly, they sell quite a few of these meals and have them pre-pared and sitting under a warmer pending sale!!! Hence, for $30 I was not impressed.
As a permanent resident, would take some convincing for me to again attend the KSC in the 'tourist belt proper'. The short term visitor may find a similar 'experience' acceptable but not this permanent resident.
Cheers

Beautiful spot, right on the beach. I love the park on both sides, one side to relax on the grass and the other has the play area for the kids. The surf club itself has great meals and lots of beautiful ocean views.

View is fantastic overlooking the beach. Friendly staff who deal with a large number of people going through the club very efficiently. The food however is sub par which lets the venue down. Tried 3 different items from the menu over 2 separate visits this week. Extremely surprised that they do not have a simple bucket of prawns option on the menu considering they are a surf club by the sea. Venue, location and view of the beach - 5/5. The food 2/5.

This place is fantastic. It's a member's club but visitors can sign in and enjoy the facilities.
A quick word about membership - it costs $10 a year but members get $2 off all meals and about 10% of all drinks so the membership pays in the first few visits.
The club is located right on the beach. There is nothing between the front of the building and the sand.
The building is a great modern architect designed facility - and it is fantastic.
Downstairs are the surf club rooms and members changeroom.
Upstairs is a dining room and bar. I will put it out there that the dining room has one of the best views on the Gold Coast.
The food is reasonably priced - $22 for a pasta.
But the quality of the food is amazing. It's not pub or club food in the traditional sense. It is top notch food.
The dining room is big enough - easily 250. But this great food arrives in about 10 min.
On the top floor is function room again with great views.
Parking is relatively easy. There is a large car park at the back (or front from the street) and plenty of FREE (RARE on the Gold Coast) 4 hour parking in the surrounding streets.
Been there twice this week. Will be back.

The view over the Pacific Ocean is really impressive and never gets old.

The Surf Club has been rebuilt from the ground up next to it's previous (now demolished) former location. We had the breakfast buffet here - a decent choice of food - both cooked options and cereals. Sausages were a bit spicy for my liking but everything else was good. Pretty chilled vibe and we ended up getting a membership (which gets discounts within the club). Only thing that stops this getting a 5 star was that it was a little pricey.

We met friends for dinner. Table staff great. Good if you want burgers for dinner. Pretty pricey & not a great choice for a Surf Club. Very disappointed that I couldn't get a coffee from the cafe just on 9pm & was advised I could get one in the Mall when we leave.

The new renovations to kurruwa are really nice but it is a shame there is no outside balcony area to enjoy the salt breeze and have a meal. It seems to be more like a restaurant than a relaxed atmosphere surf club. It is nice not to stress about finding a table though.

Been here for 20 years great service excellent staff but wow. Booked restaurant for our family and grandkids for our 40 th wedding anniversary and even though we had lunch there on 28 January because we live in Brisbane and holidays here for 2 weeks once we produced our drivers licensed we were denied entry. I know people abuse the system and during the lockdown in Brisbane they travel to the coast I think all they had to do was verify we had been staying here for well before the lockdown and we dined there on the 28th. Very disappointed and probably never go there again
Northcliffe surf club were at least thorough. Over to the managers reply if we get one.

Counter staff rude, if you don t have a members card they charge you $10 to get in.

60 dollar hot chips
I don t think so
Not worth your time.

Try mermaid beach surf club or nobbies surf club.

Better food

Stopped in to get iceblocks & drinks with my kids today & was pretty offended by the way the lady behind the counter spoke to me. Telling not asking me to get their broken products out of the freezer. Rude. Wont be going back.

My loving mother did not get her meal and instead of giving her her meal she got an obsessive barrage of questions asking about her meal. After a survey of questions she finally got her meal and supposably got a free drink.

Fabulous service, amazing ocean views with a laid back atmosphere. Food was delicious and the staff were attentive. Menu had many interesting choices and several vegetarian options. Portions are a very good size and the prices very reasonable.

We celebrated our daughter's birthday with dinner here. The decor was nice, although the tables and chairs looked a little industrial/basic (probably to handle weather when windows facing beach are open). Unfortunately, with a later booking and cloud cover, we missed out on a view. On the up side, the staff were all very friendly, service was good and food was very nice. Among other drinks, we tried the fruit mocktail and highly recommend.
Thanks for a great dinner experience.

Really good service, staff were friendly. The servings were generous, and a large variety to choose from on the menu. Picture of paella attached. Excellent views too, try and get one of the popular window side seats (great design so the winds don't affect your food).

We chose between two Surf clubs on the coast. This is one of them. I am a member of the two clubs, the other club offers discounts and free drinks for your birthday month. Kurrawa clubhouse is all brand new and the food has improved so much.

The food was OK but i found the layout quite uninspiring apart from the view one enormous open plan area which includes both meal and drinks areas. I ordered the flathead with salad and chips and was expecting one or two larger fish pieces but instead had about six small pieces which resulted in too much batter. The chips could have been crisper and the salad was too small. Looks like they are going for quantity over quality.

We had breakfast here after walking there from Burleigh Heads. Menu and food were excellent with gluten free options which is important to us as we have a couple of family members who are gluten intolerant.

Prices seemed a little higher than I would expect but the food, meal presentation, coffee and overall service justified the prices. If you're a member of the surf club, there are discounts.

Ordered crumbed flat head and my daughter ordered the seafood basket. Both meals tasted like they came out of a Birds Eye box - scallop in seafood basket looked and tasted like reconstituted fish paste. Staff are OK, club house is very nice, but the meals are not worth the money. Also seem to have to 'wait at the bar' while plenty of tables available - some of those tables never used while we were there for 1.5hrs.

So much money spent on renovations but not enough ...

So much money spent on renovations but not enough spent on quality food/menu... After paying $50+ for a very thin soggy piece of triple cooked pork belly (soggy = no crackle) and a measly plate of coconut prawns that tasted frozen and like they had been the ones triple cooked/fried, we will definitely not be back again. I hate paying for food that is worse than what I would cook at home. The food quality versus the price leaves a lot to be desired. Live music is way too loud for dinner time, we had to shout to have a conversation & even then couldn t really hear what anyone at the table was talking about. Super disappointing to see this change from the old venue, at least the food used to be something you d be happy to pay for.
