The view here is why people flick to the bar. Like many other rooftop bar in the world with Bangkok having a few of the best and Kuala Lumpur realised most rooftop bars don't need to be open as open rooftop bar is not easy to control the crowd, you would expect Singapore has one of the great ones.
Alas, it is not so. The crowd control is none-existence. If you pay to get drinks you are considered a lower tier crowd and if you book a table expect to pay premium to be seated near the edge. If not you will be treated shabbily by no one actually as the security and waiters are too busy to entertain you.
Come to Kuala Lumpur and I'll show you how we do great rooftop bars such as Troika and Heli Pad.

Very busy place with amazing city views. The atmosphere is spoiled a little by people in white coats - those who have a rest by the rooftop pool, who decided to take a walk along the observation deck.
Went for lunch. Located at the top of the Marina Bay Sands hotel one floor higher than the iconic infinity pool. Spectacular views. Limited food choices from a prix fixe menu. For example, the entree choices were duck breast or Waygu beef. Overall customer service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Wine service was not as good. I had four different glasses of wine during my 3-course meal. I was shown the bottle only for the last glass. The third glass, a $44 glass of rioja that I ordered with my entree came at room temperature which was about 27 Celsius rather than the more appropriate 15 Celsius. The wine was sound but not as pleasurable as it should have been. Still worth visiting for the views alone.
I first went to the skybar in 2013 and enjoyed it, only had one cocktail around dusk, but was fine and the view and ambiance was fantastic. I returned March 2019 and was a completely different experience. They advertise at the line that it is $22 to head up and you get a standard drink. Yet it's then said to be $28 and they tell you after waiting in line that this is because it's after 10pm. It was 11:30pm, so they could update their digital sign they are standing next to. Once up there, the skybar and lounge were like nightclubs, and expected at least one would still feel like a nice bar and not a Justin Bierber type video clip with young women parading wine bottles with sparklers to get old men or rich arrogant ones to buy. It was very obvious they focus on tourists and not returning customers, as no one would return. The so called voucher drink was watered down, and was obvious when the barmen directed us to a different barmen to obtain once he saw the voucher. I chose not to trust any drink after that. I then went to the lounge and chose to order a gin on the rocks as would taste if it was watered down, and yep, it was. At $28 and watered down is a joke, and illegal I believe. I gave up and left then. It's a fantastic view, but you can't access the outside observation deck. The lounge is also a beautiful venue, but the staff and service, not to mention the cheapness of management actually telling them to water down drinks is horrendous. That's simply a cheap place trying to look classy and you are better off going somehwere else. It's horrendously over priced and you still get a diluted drink. Another rich person going cheap is managing this place for sure.
Among the best nightclubs if you wanna go out in downtown Singapore. Nice drinks but they are so expensive... The view is amazing from here as the club is located on the top floor of Marina Bay Sands! Iconic place!!!
The place is nice but be careful of their malpractice. The waiter tends to warm and "recommend" you to enlarge the food portion and good to "share" food among friends. BUT the real fact is the price will be increased from S$68 to S$239. Therefore, I will Not come again to have their recommendations.
This bar is located on the top floor of Marina Bay Sands. You can order from a drink, so you can enjoy the night view of Singapore without spending much money. It's about $ 20 a cup. The dress code is not strict, so feel free and surprising? can enter.
Top bar which is very busy at sunset. Accordingly, it is difficult to find a suitable place at a table if you are not up in time. For the entrance fee of 22 you get a drink voucher. However, you have the visitors of the viewing platform right in front of your nose, so you usually have someone in front of the lens
High rating because of amazing view and music, one star lost because of slow service. Probably getting the drink from the bar was a bad idea. Also prices are decent for the location, S$16 for beer and S$24 for cocktails +10% tip already added for service, even at the bar.
Food so so and expensive. View was good but didn't enjoy much due to the rain. Was given a table outdoors so was constantly bombarded by the wind. Do ask for a table indoors near the windows. Mentioned it was a birthday celebration but no value added service. Could have had a better experience.
We visited CE LA VIE on todays Evening. The welcoming was really kind and friendly. A special thanks to our waitress, Emz! She made this evening perfect for us! We had the 5-cours dinner and it was very delicious. The view and the atmosphere were amazing! We really recommend a visit at CE LA VIE!
Fantastic view - in fact I think it's better view than the infinity pool when at the edge. As a staying guest in the hotel, the bar itself was ok, good drinks but expensive due to the view factor, which on the par wiv most of the bars with nice view in the world. There wasn't much of a service as such. But what made me give a low score was that I was initially refused into the bar to meet my friends there due to wearing flip flops (which is fair enough if that is the dress code) but only to find out the 2 caucasian ladies right next to me were allowed into the bar with flip flops? - this day and age in a country with such mixed cultures like Singapore, to see 1 set of rules for the oriental n another set of rules for the caucasians so blatantly is very disappointing to say the least.
The place is always packed with people. The music is good and the night view is fabulous too. Came here for the new year countdown, and it is packed with people. The drink is standard priced. Will recommend for tourist to come here.
Very bad. They would derive drinks to others even if you stand in line. It's a really one star club in a 5star hotel. Don't expect much. Or really, don't do.
On the very top of Singapore, this bar on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands has the best views in the world. Enjoy a Singapore sling while you're there.
A stunning view from the platform on both sides - the city, the park and the bay, sometimes there is a free entrance for girls + a free drink (champagne or beer). A modest bar, the dance floor is small, the area overlooking the pool was blocked on the evening of our visit. A photo with a view of the city was taken over the heads of other vacationers)) But for the sake of this kind of once I recommend a look.
We were there for my husband's birthday and we booked the Hawkerfest event. The food portion was good, tastes great, ambience was lovely. Sad to know that the night we went was windy as hell. We were unable to have our meal proper as we were busy shivering . Food turned cold quick due to the weather. Didn't really enjoy the whole experience.
But we will definitely try and be back when the weather is not so windy. Come early to queue as despite reservation time, you still have to queue to take the lift, to confirm ur reservation... and all these will take about 30 mins plus or less.
Overall, we may still give ce la vi another try next time!
Long waiting times. You get a voucher for the entrance fee, but if the drink costs less than the value of the voucher then the rest will simply be forfeited. In addition, taxes and service are added to the prices. Very full. The view is still great and it forces nobody to go up there.
Went there with out of town friends for dinner. Pleasantly surprised at their consideration for vegetarians. Decent portions and absolutely delectable menu. Don't miss their wasabi ice cream for dessert.
Nice view if the waitresses decide to put you in the right place. I live in Paris, I know how to appreciate good things and I am not one of those people who complain about prices. But, in this case, the abuse is total. I had a full sushi dish "chef", the most expensive. I left after this dish having had the impression of eating a child's entrance. Exorbitant price for the quantity. Tourist trap. Take a drink, why not. But no need to dine there.
View is alright but with a huge crowd and no crowd control, customers are just left standing around. Staff are not also not as helpful im getying a seat and instead try to rush you away. Wouldn't be back again
Celebrated our mates 30th Birthday here from Melbourne and the reputation was true! Amazing place with great drinks, service and music. Definitely not to miss when visiting Singapore. Highly recommend.
The consumption pattern is different and there is no help; but the scenery around it is a first-class choice, especially in the evening sunset, the clouds change, and the colors reflect on the waters of the bay! Together with the matching of the first light of the Hua Deng, you can see the bottom! Beautiful and ultimate! It s rare to compare the night scenes of Xiangjiang! However, since the reconstruction of the Peak Tram Station in Hong Kong was smashed by the Freedom God, the only place for the public to watch the night scene has been privatized! To go to the west side of Luji Road, there is a wider sky! It is so convenient to be compared with here! The Singapore Tourism Board is not so vulgar to stir up the "Fantasy Funk Xiangjiang" like Hong Kong! Celebrate fortunately
Over hyped, service is ok , half of time the tussle is for finding a seat. Food is okay too. They charge 22 sing dollar. Only good thing is nice sky deck view
Disappointing food. Oysters and sushi was not fresh. Black market ribeye steak was literally black on the outside, and completely raw on the inside- this is their version of steak down medium rare. Tasted like eating a piece of raw meat wrapped in tree bark. Worse still, the steak was covered with cheap tasting Thai chilli sauce. Utterly disappointed, the view was the only reason to be here.
What an amazing place. I thought it was more pricy comparing with other places, but it was not. Because of the excellent view of Singapore, every glass of wine or food tastes better than in any other place.
Lovely view of the skyline of Singapore. Drinks are expensive but that's to be expected in this location on the 57th floor. Quite a small bar and can over overcrowded easily. It's a cheaper why of seeing the skyline for those that don't want to pay to access the viewing platform
A lovely place to take in the view of Singapore. While enjoying a cocktail, so civilised. Worth paying, as you get the money refunded in the cost of your drink.
It was a sparkling, shimmering, splendid night for all of us. The food was delicious, the steak was superb, and the service was just right that night, would not complain about it. BUT I think everything is pricey but what is not, right? And guests of the restaurant are not allowed to go to the viewing deck. If the guests were seated next to the balcony then they re lucky to have the view in front of them, if not, then you ll have to wait if there s a vacant area to capture some photos.
In my opinion this doesn't deserve 1 star. The only redeeming factor is the view. It was one of the worst meals and service I have experienced in 50 years of international travel. I rarely post reviews but this one deserved it.
Magnificent views and good food. With two different areas on the terrace. One for lunch and dinner and another more select for drinks where you have to be well dressed. The terrace located on the 57th floor overlooks two emblematic sites of Singapore. The Bay with the view of Merlion and Gardens by the Bay. Highly recommended. To upload you have to pay about $ 22 per person.
We booked dinner at C'est La vie restaurant and told to gas e pure dinner drinks at the bar,. It was full of loyyd drunk people looking for a pick up. The music was so loud it reverberated in our bodies. Hell on earth $120 sg for 3 glasses on wine. Dinner was good foid and service but DJ loud and get another bar beside the open restaurant. 3 courses and 3 glasses for 3 was $554 Lovely views but definitely not worth it,. Go on the eye. Cheaper. Better views and no nightclubs or discos. Awful experience
