Great cozy place that can be warmly recommended. Probably the hotel is of older date, but relatively well maintained and nicely clean. Good sized rooms and the food in the restaurant was of excellent quality and plenty of food. The prices of both food and stay match the quality. The first time I visit the place ..... but certainly not the last

I recommend the restaurant. Solid Danish dishrs, where you wont leave the table hungry. A place to drive for.

I highly recommend it. The rooms are clean, coffee, tea, high speed internet. All in all, the network really comes from you who care about your customers.

Definitely a nice place. We were there with good friends on a little mini vacation.
Lovely rooms. Clean and tidy.
Our food on Friday night was absolutely super. Starter, main course and dessert. We then had to eat on Saturday night. We ordered fried pork. It was inedible. We then got something new which certainly was not better. It was certainly not the servants' fault. They did what they could.
We would love to come again.

Really cozy place, well recommended. Great atmosphere, vegetarian breakfast option, and smiling and helpful receptionists.

Nice hotel very quiet surroundings but really lacks aircon. If you, like me, are close to 2 meters high, the sloping wicks do not make it easy if you get a room on top. The bathroom is worn but works. In the shower there is also a sloping wall and the shower can not be adjusted in height so it is not easy to take a bath.
Their breakfast buffet is nothing short of amazing. It is a pleasure to eat breakfast somewhere that knows how to do it right. Unfortunately we did not reach the sauna and the pool.

The rooms need an update, were there 11 years ago and nothing has happened, otherwise cozy nice little hotel

Fried pork ad libitum. Cream sauce with parsley. Will not be better than from this place.

The location was nice and had a very cozy and homely feel to it. Parking space was a problem, probably because they were fully booked for events. The rooms poorly lit for taking pictures, which was a shame, considering it was the middle of the day and they were mostly lit by unnatural light (instead of getting more sun in the room). The food was fine. The starter was a good amount of salmon with greens and a side of bread and butter (would have been nice if the bread had stayed for the main course). The main course was Cockerel breast with potatoes, gravy and some vegetables and cooked mushrooms. Meat was plain, potatoes were fine though a bit too rustic for my taste, the gravy lacked flavor, and the vegetables were dull and didn't add anything to the meal. The desert was great! Two well made pancakes, accompanied by two scoops of ice cream (one a very flavorful vanilla and the other a rich chocolate) a strawberry, and some nutty crunch. The towels in the women's bathroom were drenched. Only one of the three soap dispensers worked in the men's bathroom. The personnel seemed a bit pushy getting us from the dinning room to the lounge (but this was for them to prepare for another event later the same evening), which made us feel like we were rushed so that they could make more money. Also they apparently have some rules concerning when speaches are allowed (only when food and personnel weren't in the room, from what I could understand). The welcome drink was a bit too dry, the white wine was dull, the red wine was fine and the dessert wine was very nice and sweet (but not too sweet). The lounge meal consisted of red hotdogs with all the usual Danish condiments, and seemed satisfactory for the guests(I was still full from the 3 course meal). All in all a nice place, a lot of potential, and we all had a great day. Upping the food, the hospitality and the few practicality oriented problems would grant them the two remaining stars. Wouldn't mind coming back another time.

Super nice inn with a cozy fireplace room and restaurant with delicious and plentiful food at okay prices. Nice pool and nice breakfast. However, the room did not live up to the rest at all, the bathroom was made in discount materials, something I would have expected from a local motel with 1 star. The rest of the room was also nothing to shout hurray for.

Unfortunately, a completely worn place. No hot water in the shower, foul smell of sewer from the bathroom, alarm from howling water pipes ... Friendly staff, but it does not weigh up on the many shortcomings.

A hotel of the upper class and the for a great price (75 euros for 2 people, including breakfast). Very spacious rooms with high quality equipment and large bathroom. Friendly staff, rich breakfast and many services for free, such as. Pool and sauna. Only the restaurant is a completely different price range, which is not for the small purse.

If you're travelling with little children this place has no facilities. Our bathroom sink had crack in it and the room was very small for a family of 4

We had a lovely stay with a party at the inn on 18-19 August 2018.
Very nice food right from the time we arrived on Saturday with coffee table with cake for breakfast the next day. Lotus Club Denmark. We will gladly come again.

Nice place and fine food, but very limited selection of (seasoned) food. The waiters are not the sharpest and some foreign so communication is difficult. Do not always get the correct food, but they swap it easily. Just annoying that it doesn't play so you can eat at the same time.

We are a large family of approx. 30 people who have been and eat an "inn menu".

First we get tartlets which are actually pretty good except that not everyone's tartlets were completely filled up.

Then we came to the steak ......

Out of the approximately 30 we were there got inn menu, 24 sent their steak back to the kitchen because it was either raw in the middle (could still say muuuh)


The dessert stands on frozen vanilla and strawberry ice cream and then a melted hazelnut ice cream, but they kind of tasted okay all together.

There was no water on the tables and we were only asked once if we wanted something to drink, and generally really unprofessional service throughout the dinner

You would almost think that they are crawling in shelter, because such a bad dinner you have to look for a long time

Nice food, ok music, but pretty hard one can't get anything to drink for his night meal. The bar closes at 1am exactly.

Was on mini vacation for 4 days here.
Drove to Funen and experienced what is now to be experienced.
But always back to the Crib in Shelter Inn for the night.
Good old fashioned food on the menu.
Good ingredients.
Lovely taste.
Best Fried pork with parsley sauce (lots of fresh chopped parsley)
Not for salted meat, chewed slices.
Lovely morning food.
Friendly staff.
Built a bit of old inn, just the right way, cozy living rooms.

The place is well located and has a wonderful staff, with it written it is not too clean in the rooms, it is almost impossible to get through to the reception and it is not possible to call directly to their restaurant, their morning buffet is messy and it was with the addition that it came behind them that people came for breakfast at. 8 there was a constant lack of things like coffee, fruit, butter, etc. We had to clear a table space ourselves and ate between dirty plates and glasses ... their prices are in turn quite ok

Stayed at this hotel on our trip in Denmark. Not the flashiest hotel but nothing wrong with that. In the evening had a nice dinner and then took a dip in the indoor swimming pool. Room was neat and bathroom nice and spacious. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

A very nice place with a feel of old times.. Great service and kind staff.. The food here is exeptional and enjoyable.. I like this place and want to go back some day..

Seemed maybe somewhere here needs an update. They have tried to make themselves relevant to the locals with a burger take away offer and for Taulov it is 5 stars, but that is mostly seen in the light of the alternatives. Actually, I did not think it is so wildly good, you try to make it a little gourmet-like, but it just gets a little dry and boring.
It's clearly a company's establishment of popular it is. Never seen many in either the restaurant or the inn?

Always a cozy place to stay and a certainty that there is no noise from the street :-) and a fantastic staff
