Camped at Shingwedzi, Letaba, Satara, Lr Sabie and Berg en dal. Still lots of wildlife to view. However the veld is badly degraded from fires which I have never experienced to such a widespread extent on many previous occasions making me wonder why management of the park seems unable to manage the situation of lightning induced fires. Still I will be back when I shall leave the park each weekend so as to miss the heavy traffic around most camps.

There is no other African national park like the Kruger. It offers visitors everything from diverse landscapes, dirt roads, tar roads, options to stay inside or outside the park, budget camps to 5-star lodges - there's something for every taste.

Tsendze camp site well run by Roger. So very helpful and enthusiastic. Made our stay a pleasure.
Only negative was that a lot of water drinking troughs were dry, as were some of the big, cement reservoirs. Sad to see animals walk to them expectantly only to find them dry.

Beautiful nature and animals. We always enjoy it in Kruger-time to relax and recharge. Especially like Lower Sabie's Luxury tents and Skukuza's location for big cat and wild dog viewing - we were so lucky to see the dogs close to Phabeni Gate today

Exotic in pure form. Very well organized. Good asphalt roads, only elephants love to lumber on the asphalt (full of it), and all creatures will cross the road wherever they fall. It's good that there is a speed limit of 50 / hour. Cool camping with great service.

I took my wife for her first KNP experience from 6th to 8th June. We stayed in Pretoriuskop for the two nights. Within 5 minutes of entering at Malelane a huge hippo ran across the dirt road (Malelane / Krokodilbrug) and about 17 km from Malelane she went balistic - "STOP, STOP ----- LEOPARD", what more could we have asked for.

Pretoriuskop as a base for us was just perfect, clean, tidy and friendly.....City - took us on a night drive and he knew his stories well.

WOW this, according to my wife is a "GO AGAIN HOLIDAY".

We recently did a self-drive to the Kruger National Park. As keen bird-watchers we never get far as driving less than 20km per hour offers the best opportunity of spotting birds in the trees and bush. Most of our driving centered between the Malelane Gate, Skukuza Rest Camp and Lower Sabie Rest Camp. It was a very successful three days. We saw 4 of the big 5 animals. Unfortunately the threatened rhino are difficult to spot these days . But plenty of elephant was ready to entertain us around every hook and cranny. Huge African bulls with long spectacular teeth, many really big females towed by their tiny baby calfs, plenty young teenagers all to keen to trumpeter and trying to scare one by flapping their ears! But do remember elephants are dangerous wild animals therefore DO NOT get too close and keep your car engine ready and in gear to move out of their way if they are coming your way. We saw a leopard stalking a herd of impala and a family of lions lazing in the sun while their young were playing around. There were more than a 100 buffalo crossing the road and grazing all around us. Later we found them lying in the riverbed - truly amazing.
We identified many birds and tried to photograph a few of the birds around water areas.
Overall we had an exciting time more than meeting our expectations.

The Kruger national park is one of the best things about South Africa. This is one of the safest places to come and see the big five in Africa and you won't be dissapointed. Paying for a night game drive is definitely worth it, it's a different experience to what you usually find in the park. The camps in the park are great for staying over (on the expensive side though) and have lots of top class facilities. If you haven't been to this place, it's a must see even if you only go in for a day.

Was wonderful once again to experience this. Many animals were seen and for the first time after so many times we were there. A leopard seen in a tree. Just think it is very expensive for things inside the park, but they should also make money.
