A must see!!!! Stop by whenever you can. I drive 1200km just to visit and camp. Ive been visiting for the past 27 years. This place is my heartbeat, my life!! African bush provides a calm soul that no one can explain! No other place provides dusk and dawn like the Kruger. Please when you visit adhere to the park rules and dont litter!!! Its a sight for sore eyes to drive past beer bottles, plastics, diapers and much more. Speeding in the park is a big challenge, again respect nature and others and adhere to the park rules please!!!

Take Your time there, at least 3-4 days. Area is huge, so You will need a couple days to spot the big five ( and hundred of smaller ). Wide variety of accomodation available from camping areas and small huts to private lodges.

So much to see, I could of stayed longer. The elephants are the best but would of loved to see a lion. I loved every minute, saw buck, deer, impala, zebra, hippo, crocodile, warthogs and more.

Hot!!
Lots of traffic on roads with occasional road users being undisciplined & throwing litter out of vehicles!

Great experiance slightly spoiled by other visitors.

I loved Kruger Park, excellent guides, excellent resorts, very good food, a wonder. I loved and advise something different, out of the routine, without a cell phone and a contact with nature. To my mnanganis in Sud Africa and love your country.

It's an amazingly conserved natural habitat with abundant animals, birds, trees and grasslands. The landscape changes from thick bushes to open grasslands and numerous watering holes as you drive through the different routes and between the camps. We stayed at the Skukuza camp which is the largest and very good for wildlife viewing. However, in my opinion, lower Sabie camp is the best place to stay since the Sabie river runs along there and you can actually see buffaloes, crocodiles, deers and many other animals right from the restaurant deck. There's also a very busy watering hole right outside the camp gate where you see animals in action like crocodiles chasing impala, and many species of birds. In Skukuza, we stayed in a bungalow which is actually a cottage and although not luxurious, well stocked with kitchen utensils, BBQ stand, hot water shower etc. Kitchen is either attached or one community kitchen for four bungalows together. There's a large shop within the camp where you get camping gears to vegetables and packed food to clothing and souvenirs. We visited in June and all visitors got to see the Big Five and many more animals throughout the day. In addition to the morning Safari and self drive, don't miss the night Safari to view predators in action and the bush walk with armed forest rangers for a thrilling experience. Camp gates close at 5.30pm in winter. Don't lose a minute when you're there, never know which animal is waiting around the corner!

We were blessed to see 4 of the big 5...just the leopards evaded us! Take your own picnic lunch to the rest areas...more cost effective...but not too overpriced unless you're looking for souvenirs...definitely more geared for foreign currency!!!

Great place to visit! Loved the possibility to drive it with own (rented) car! Lots and lots of wild living animals! But beware - driving after dark without permit is dangerous and seems to be illegal (you can be slightly late to the camp.. but then every time you see a car blinking its lights from behind or front of you - stop and wait for rangers to inspect! Otherwise they might and most probably will start shooting!)
4x4 is greatly recommend but not necessary! Main roads are asphalt. But there's a lot of side roads where 4x4 is a must!

we can spend a day or a life there. The park is huge varied for both landscapes and animals. we become a child (perso even more enthusiastic than my 6 year old daughter). It's beautiful, it's wild but organized. Do the south so little time (more people but more animals).

We were there last year and i must say the experience was surreal. Important tip for first time traveler to KNP stay inside the park for the best experience in one of the many camps inside the park

February-March was a spectacular time to visit Kruger. We saw all the animals you expect in Southern Africa. It was as if our car was the cage and the wild lions, leopards, elephants, kudu, water buffalo and Hippos were free to roam anywhere they wished. We stayed at Lower Sabie and Sukuza where all the tourist needs are met. Some of the facilities are dated but adequate.

Perfect
