I went for the Halloween haunted house. I've been to some of the best, well known haunted houses around and I'm not easily impressed or scared. They did an amazing job on this one. I will return next year. So worth the wait!!!

Mostly a bar and casual bowling alley, really starting to show its age. Arcade can be fun but often the machines are broken, especially the ones for younger kids.
In the summer there is Go carts, mini golf and batting cages for last i checked, fifty cents per pitching round. Prices as i know are-
Bowling is about 7.00 with shoe rental
Cages are 0.50
Mini golf is about 7.00 a game
Go carts used to be like 15.00 but been a while
Beer on tap can be cheap at 2-3.00 a glass!

Never heard of this place until we saw it on Groupon. Deal was $19.00 for 2 bowling games and 20 tokens. We thought it was a steal and gave it a shot! You get what you pay for. Place looked dirty, games were over priced, games kept taking our tokens, under staffed, bar, sketchy, bowling lane kept breaking and it just was sad but at the end of the day my girls had fun and that's what really matters. I hope they improve and make a change.

Beyond terrible!

Beyond terrible!

I have been coming here for a few years out of sheer convenience because of it's location, willing to over-look the short-comings, until this past visit...

It started in the arcade. The first four (yes, FOUR) games my son tried putting him tokens into were broken. I let it slide the first few times, but after that decided to say something. So I went to the redemption counter to let the employee know what was going on, and the guy behind the counter (who couldn't have been older than 17) rolled his eyes and just gave me new tokens without even a verbal response. After that, three more games ate out tokens! I asked if I could speak to a manager, since this kid had no intention of actually fixing anything... and that's when it got worse!

After about 25 minutes of waiting around for a manager, I finally get to speak to one, and in the middle of explaining which games were broken and how his employee doesn't seem to care, he interrupts me and says "Let me guess, you want something for free because of it... It's an arcade, what do you expect?!"

Furious, I decide to just take my son bowling, where we were greeted by an old, toothless man who started making a "shooing" motion at us and started yelling "No! We have no room. No open bowling until around 10 o'clock! No!" before I could even ask him how much it was! The prices are NOT worth the absolute lack of respect for customers at this place!

There are so many other (friendlier) places to do just about everything Kristof's has to offer! Lakes Bowl (on 134 in Round Lake) is MUCH cleaner, and the employees are friendlier. Sammy's (on Rollins, right down the street from this place) food is far superior, not to mention cheaper. Aloha Falls Mini Golf (in Libertyville on 45) is much more family-friendly, not to mention SMOKE FREE. Chucky-Cheese is a better place for a birthday party. Trust me, the extra few minutes of driving time is SO worth being treated like a valued customer. I will never give this place my business ever again, and if you want to be treated with respect, neither should you.

This is just a fine place to go for fun, clean, safe entertainment. The facility is always clean, well staffed, and the team that works there seem to be interested in everyone having a good time. There's just so much to do here.

This place can't seem to get it right. Although they are trying.

Before, it was kind of a mess. It was more of your classic token style arcade from your childhood, where you could put 10 bucks into the token machine and have fun for an hour or so.

But back then, you would come in and it was hit or miss... Lots of games would be out of order a lot of the time. They needed to do SOMETHING.

Unfortunately, they swung the pendulum too far. They've finally started investing into the place. The bowling alley got refurbished and looks great. But it's really the arcade that I have the huge problem with.

My biggest concern is they switched to a card / credit system. No more tokens, just a card with credits. No more tickets being spit out (which the kids LOVED) the credits are just 'recorded' on the cards. And the place is now a HUGE ripoff.

In a way I can't blame them. ALL the big, successful arcades use this system, because they figured out that people just mindlessly swipe their cards and don't realize what a ripoff the games they are playing have become. You don't FEEL the pain of your pocket getting lighter as you insert token after token, they just deduct this crazy amount off your card with each swipe. The really little ones have NO CONCEPT how much they have left, or how much they are spending.

Prices for these games are now THROUGH THE ROOF. The "flappy bird" game costs 6 credits ($1.50) and you get ONE LIFE. "Crossy Road" costs $1.25 and you get one life. I've seen kids swipe away $50 or $60 in less than 5 minutes. You can spend $100 on two kids and they will be done in 20 minutes tops.

Again, I get it. It makes more money than the old token system, and I don't want to begrudge a business for trying to make a profit. But, for a neighborhood place to just brazenly triple or quadruple their arcade prices, it feels really wrong.

And one more thing... Barely any actual ARCADE GAMES are left! You know, just an actual game with no chance of winning tickets? I guess they have figured out that these take way too long to play and are not profitable enough, so the place is nearly exclusively "games of chance" that reward kids with tickets to exchange for little trinkets. People... These are introducing your children to games of chance... I. E. you are conditioning your kids to GAMBLE!

The deed is done, the investment was made and there's no going back to tokens, but I really wish ownership here would find a happy medium, bring back some actual GAMES into the arcade, and reduce the insane cost of credits these machines charge.

Scary groups of teenagers in a family and kid environment. I didn't feel safe. Some of the games were out of order, but the kids still had fun. As an aware adult, I was concerned about the environment.

Game side is decent. Not over priced. Not the cleanest, but not filthy either. Staff aren't very present, and most don't seem overjoyed to be there.

Had a great time here playing mini golf in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. The staff did a great job keeping people socially distanced thanks to the online reservations and pre-pay system.

When we arrived, all of our equipment was sanitized right there in front of us and we even saw staff going around the course sanitizing items people may touch (like benches or poles).

Our family has always enjoyed boiling or playing games here, in normal times. Was glad to get the kids out of the house for some fun while also supporting a local business keeping people employed during this odd times.

Went to Kristof's on a Saturday night . Arrived around 9pm. Few kids still there which was expected, First thing we did was went on the go carts.. VERY fun!!! Fast and a nice track. I recommend purchasing the extra ride at only 3 bucks. Definatley worth it!!. We then went to the bar area for some drinks. Rob the bartender was on his toes making sure we were taken care of ALL the time. We ordered a Large everything pizza. DELICIOUS!! Seriously, Home made Excellent pizza. Now here was the highlight of my evening. Everyone under 18 has to leave by 11:00pm and the Mini Golf is open until midnight, so about 11:30 we decided to golf. Perfect!! ,No Kids and by chance we had the entire course to ourselves..Talk about a perfect date place. This was it. Quiet, peaceful, and amazing fun!!. Can't wait to do it again . Only next time we plan to bowl. And definetley come back for the haunted house in the fall. Highly reccomend you visit this place and have half as much fun as we did.

Went for mini golf and everyone followed the mask guidelines. Plenty of hand sanitizers available so felt about as safe as we could. Kids always have a good time whenever we go here. Great local spot and I ve been coming here since I was a kid so it s cool to be able to bring my kids here now.

Food was typical bar type food. Bowling lanes are very dated but the high tech monitors and scoring system kind of make up for it. The arcade area seems a little out dated. The prizes that you can get with the game tickets area high. The staff really didn't seem to happy to be there which shows in the level of customer satisfaction. Kids won't care about any of that though.

Was a really great place until they switched to cards and switched out a lot of games, now you don't get as good of a bang for your buck like you used to. Could come here for 1+ hours only on $20, now that time is halved.

Here for a birthday party and service was terrible. Food took forever, bowling lane stopped working twice and had to wait for service but no time was reimbursed, and was denied service to the bar. Im 29 and they said i had a fake ID and refused to sell alcohol. We ended our party early and will not be using this establishment for another party ever. At least buying our alcohol at the liquor store was cheaper

Fun place to chill and hang out with friends, the bowling area is usually busy and the bar area is loud and on Friday and Saturday nights has a lot of people. The food is above the average bar food and the drinks are usually pretty good.

A top notch Arcadia experience as the brothers have manifested a wonderful entertainment experience for all to enjoy. Of note is that Kristof's sports the letter "K" in there genealogy and that's a "Stimulus Plan" that is much healthier than our government currently supplies their citizens.

Took my son here for bowling - I really like how the score console gives the option for turning on bumpers for challenged bowlers. Plenty of arcade games too. Not many bowling lanes so you may want to call in advance to check availability. A little dated on some of the facilities, but a decent value for the money. Check Groupon for bowling offers.

My family and our friends had a great time. Bowling was fun and loved that the shoes were all ready for us at the lanes. Loved the service and staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Kristof's!

It was cool, one stop shop is what I liked different choices for the kids to choose from. Mini golf, acades, bowling, food, beverages and for adults a bar for adult drinks, music, slots. Tokens per games were reasonable, the amount of tokens for the price were also reasonable. The staff were nice. Go kart were closed for the season when we went so we couldn't do that. Although the place is a little outdated but its been their for years and still hanging strong.

About one person from the staff is nice. The girl is okay, and the owner is a buttwipe. I've gone there multiple times because its a fun place, bowling is cheap and nice, billiards, minigolf. The drinks & food are expensive there. All of the times I've went there the owner is always a buttwipe. If he were nice, the experience would be awesome but we just try to ignore him anyway. I haven't tried the arcade and don't think I will due to reviews. Aside from the owner, its a nice, good on the wallet place as far as games.

This place is in dire need of updating and expansion. They don't allow smoking indoors anymore, but as an asthmatic, I can still smell old stale smoke inside, especially in the bar/karaoke area. Kind of reeks in there still. The outdoor mini golf area is decent, but old. They have a lot of old games indoors that should just be done away with and then they could expand their bowling alley and other areas. It's an ok place, but it needs updating and they need to get rid of the old stale smoke smell.

A good place to go bowling, go karting, or mini golfing. Their bowling prices used to be amazing but now they've more than doubled, probably because of the renovations they've done. While the bowling alley is a lot nicer, it's tough to justify being more than 2x as expensive as before.
