Bowling was great, staff was rude and incompetent, ruined the whole experience for me

Took my son here for bowling - I really like how the score console gives the option for turning on bumpers for challenged bowlers. Plenty of arcade games too. Not many bowling lanes so you may want to call in advance to check availability. A little dated on some of the facilities, but a decent value for the money. Check Groupon for bowling offers.

Great place for kids and adults to enjoy an evening! Lots of childhood memories and the new batting cages are awesome!

My family and our friends had a great time. Bowling was fun and loved that the shoes were all ready for us at the lanes. Loved the service and staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Kristof's!

It was cool, one stop shop is what I liked different choices for the kids to choose from. Mini golf, acades, bowling, food, beverages and for adults a bar for adult drinks, music, slots. Tokens per games were reasonable, the amount of tokens for the price were also reasonable. The staff were nice. Go kart were closed for the season when we went so we couldn't do that. Although the place is a little outdated but its been their for years and still hanging strong.

About one person from the staff is nice. The girl is okay, and the owner is a buttwipe. I've gone there multiple times because its a fun place, bowling is cheap and nice, billiards, minigolf. The drinks & food are expensive there. All of the times I've went there the owner is always a buttwipe. If he were nice, the experience would be awesome but we just try to ignore him anyway. I haven't tried the arcade and don't think I will due to reviews. Aside from the owner, its a nice, good on the wallet place as far as games.

This place is in dire need of updating and expansion. They don't allow smoking indoors anymore, but as an asthmatic, I can still smell old stale smoke inside, especially in the bar/karaoke area. Kind of reeks in there still. The outdoor mini golf area is decent, but old. They have a lot of old games indoors that should just be done away with and then they could expand their bowling alley and other areas. It's an ok place, but it needs updating and they need to get rid of the old stale smoke smell.

Had a great time with family and friends. Place is clean and food are good.

A good place to go bowling, go karting, or mini golfing. Their bowling prices used to be amazing but now they've more than doubled, probably because of the renovations they've done. While the bowling alley is a lot nicer, it's tough to justify being more than 2x as expensive as before.

We went bowling and we had fun, we order pizza and was okay. Big enough for 4. Staff was nice and friendly. We used a Groupon wich they are very familiar with.

A unique must see one of a kind place. Despite my experiences with a few employees this is one of Round Lakes greater entertainment spot with budget friendly prices. Year around with both indoor and outdoor fun. From summer time outdoor batting cages, go carts, and miniature golf the fall brings in the haunted house. Always decent and friendly. Indoor and arcade opened year round with color organized weight for bowling balls. Late night bar life with gambling games and karaoke. A place for everyone.

it is always a fun and safe place to take the kids, and good for a date night with pool tables and bowling. minigolf arcade games and good food at a ok prices. short of having laser tag and a built in theater it really has it all.

Boring, use to be better a couple years ago. Games take tokens, the people are rude. Played Deal or No Deal it owed us tickets and the guy kept walking down here saying he'd be there in a couple minutes 3/4 times. Just not a good place to go.

Great mini golf, except the bee nest at the 4th hole. Awesome safety precautions also.

Cool hangout for young & old! Bowling, vids, go-carts, batting cages etc! There is a bar with a decent selection of beer & drinks. I noticed they advertise Angry Balls, one of my favorite boiler makers! Decent bar food. The staff was friendly & gave my kids extra prizes when we turned in our game tickets. We will be going back!!

It's a decent family entertainment place, but not much as far as a bar.

Games always take your money but never work. Change machines have been known to short you on your tokens. Be sure to take a min to count it out.

I'm my opinion I love this place because the people who work here are nice the food is good the games are awesome and during the summer is the time to go because their outdoor activities are so much fun

Awesome place to spend an evening for all ages. Mini golf, go karts, bowling, pool, and an arcade. This place has everything. There is also a full bar with a wide selection of food.

I always enjoy this place. Every employee is so nice and helpful. Always friendly! Bowling is so much fun there. Cant wait to mini golf and go karting once it gets warmer! One of my sons favorite places to play games at.

Well it just sucked 2 have there uneducated manager, owners son not allow me 2 smoke my electronic cigarette at the bar cause it confused him just stupid

Nice establishment that is definitely family-oriented. Being a little older can be a little crowded noisy. But that is just me. Also bowling prices have definitely changed over the years I was a little surprised but had good time.

It is always a fun time but the lanes by far need some.work done to them....

Fun place for the family and kids. Bar area is cool and comfortable. Glad to see some of the older games slowly being replaced. Would love to see renovations around the inside of the building to keep up with modern times, though. Feels a lot older indoors.

Had a great time golfing today. Kristofs is such a great place. Highly recommended it to everyone. Can't wait for the rest of it to open.

I have always brought my kids to kristofs for the game room and bowling and they just keep improving. The staff is friendly and helpful and the place always looks clean. Prices for food and drinks are cheap as well.

its been a little while since I've been there. Some of the games are kind of dated. They offer birthday party packages for kids of all ages. In the evening or night bowling is on the menu. The offer leagues and have a open bar.

BEST place for a cheap date or for hanging out. They always have deals, coupons on the Grayslake jewel receipts, and Groupons.

I come here often now that they've updated it. There's a DJ every Friday and Saturday now, and they have a smoking deck to bring your drinks out on. Plus they updated their bowling alley and arcade.

During a time when so many other places aren't taking health and safety seriously, it feels so nice to take my daughter to Kristof's and have peace of mind knowing that the staff is sanitizing every hour, enforcing mask wearing, and distancing all of the groups of customers! As always, they are friendly, and clean, not to mention full of things to do with the family (bowling, miniature golf, go-karts, an arcade, a restaurant & a bar for the grown-ups)! 10/10 recommend!

A decent place, but the bowling is pricey. Good eats and pizza and many games so overall is worth it except for the bowling. Good service and friendly people and will visit in the summer!

I frequent this establishment every weekend for free karaoke. Very friendly and accommodating staff and security, dim-lit road-bar type of feel, but they certainly have something for everyone. Whether you want to hang at the bar and talk shop, play a few rounds of pool or bowling, chill outside and race go-karts or check out their mini-golf course or even take the stage like I do and belt out some familiar tunes, you can't go wrong at Kristoff's :)
A couple of big issues/threats do linger though. For one thing, you never know who is coming to the party. Fights and gang scuffles have broken out over there in the past, but typically, security and management get it handled and cleaned up quick. Another thing is that while the bathrooms and facilities are clean, they haven't been updated or changed. It still looks like the same place you'd see off the side of the road in Round Lake, inside and out. Maybe that's what they're going for. I don't know.
But I do know that very genuine and friendly people go there too and they typically keep to themselves and don't want any trouble, making for a safe and fun time... mostly Haha
Oh! And don't forget your ID. They card hard, as expected.

We have been to Kristof's at least once a year for the last five years, mainly for the minigolf and the arcade. This last time we went we also did the bowling. We had so much fun. From the moment we entered the building, the workers were very nice and attentive, asking us if we needed help. When we did ask for something, it was attended to immediately and pleasantly. I've read the other reviews here and can say that we did not experience any of the rudeness that has been described.

We played the minigolf first and, while there are some issues with maintenance on the course which I understand are being addressed, the course was still very playable. We bowled after that, taking two lanes for our group, and had fun. One time, the pins did not reset but the staff member was on it immediately. After bowling, it was on to the arcade. There is go-carting and batting cages, also. Our group consisted of six people from the ages of 10 to 64 and we ALL had fun.

We will definitely go back to Kristoff's. If you are going with the idea of having fun, you will. If you go to look for things that are wrong, you will find them, too, but those things did not diminish the fun that we had.

Bad. Bad. Bad. Cheap bowling...that's about the only good thing. The food seems to be frozen & then heated up for you. The pizza is about as equal to a "Red Barron" frozen pizza you can get for a lot cheaper at the store.
The place smells like a mix of beer, smoke, and pee.
The games are a rip off. Don't waste hour time or money.

Not a big fan of this place. My husband and I decided to try it out for date night. The security guard was awkward with us for having out of state IDs, the bartender wouldn't take back a beer that I complained about (the tap was obviously dirty, the beer didn't taste right at all), and half of the attractions were closed. We weren't able to use any of our tokens because none of the arcade was open. We did enjoy bowling, and the attendant on that side of the business was at least nice.

They have 3 pinball machines! Darts and pool tables.

Happened to be in town visiting family and we decided to stop here. Overall we enjoyed our family time together and received great service!

I recently started going out more and adventuring around the Round Lake area and I do have to say Kristof's is by far one of the best places to go and have a great time. All ages too! From bowling to arcade games and there's outdoors stuff to do. My favorite thing is Karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights. I've lived in the area my whole life and if you need a day to have fun or a nice drink after work I highly recommend Kristof's, their prices are reasonable as well, and you don't have to drive very far to have a fun time. There's no other place like it! Everyday they have a different special and there is something going on almost everyday. In my personal opinion it's very well established, has great management, and by far one of the safest places on the block. So if you want a family day out, a first date, or you just want to drink the night away you need to check it out. (That's if you have not already.) And if you read a bad review I suggest to ignore it. You don't honestly know a great place till you experience it first hand.

Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Plus if you leave the kids at home, the bar portion is low key in everyone's overall behavior; but on the louder end (at least on karaoke nights). A nice place to play a couple games of pool or darts without having to deal with any obnoxious folks. Good times

Great miniature golf course with a courteous and helpful staff. My wife and I felt that they were taking all the appropriate measures dealing with COVID-19 and still providing a fun time.
