Got coffee and WiFi in the morning. Not to busy at that time so that was nice.

We stopped here on our way home from North Dakota visiting family and are quite impressed. As former Californians who moved to Kentucky and now only have access to unique places like this when we are on the road, we really appreciate Kool Beans! The barista was fun and friendly, and made the best damn latte I've ever had! Also he put on a show for my kid while making his hot chocolate with marshmallows. The shop is set up with a rustic industrial style and is very impressive. If you are nearby, stopping through or live in Brookings please give this shop your business.

Fantastic place! Organic ingredients, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and killer design. I don t really like coffee, by this place makes you want to try everything when you walk in the door!

I love visiting Kool Beans. It is located in downtown Brookings, SD and they have the best coffee!!! I love the inviting atmosphere, the baristas are friendly, the coffee is hot and delicious, and they offer homemade baked goods with gluten free and vegan options! No other coffee shop in Brookings offers that! You can find the owner, Kurt, doing pour overs every Saturday at the farmers market. I highly recommend Kool Beans next time you are wandering downtown Brookings.

Great coffee, great atmosphere and great people. A "must" stop when we are in Brookings.

I go here often to get fresh roasted coffee beans to bring home. Fresh roasted and ground makes such a huge difference in taste! I also buy coffee here to drink and it's always an enjoyable experience. Baristas are knowledgeable and helpful and owner is often present helping out or handling out samples of coffee ice cream! Highly recommend.
