Komodo Miami Review

We booked table. But we waited more than 1,5 ours at entrance. And we didn't was only persons waited tables. 2) Menu is really overpriced. 3) you need wait a lot for all: menu, drinks, eat.

Nice the Barman "Carlos klein " and Friends are the best

used to love the place, went there with a reservation for 1030, we were sited by 12am... have to mention that day was raining and water was coming inside the restaurant garden area, we saw other tables empty on a different floor and were told cant move to those tables... so we were wet by the rain... only giving 2 stars because the waitress at least was good and try his best even after one of the order came after we asked for the bill... manager either were to stress or just didnt care because their attitude was very rude .

Excellent place for a first date. Don't expect to eat a lot unless you spend $400 like I did. They will charge you $25 or so for a bite sized single piece of sushi. It was so funny I started laughing every time the plates arrived.

Our group sampled about 6 different plates, appetizers and desserts . All of the servings were DELICIOUS and the service was TOP NOTCH. If you are ever in Miami, this spot is a must have.

Wonderful atmosphere, great drinks and fantastic food.

Worst place. I called to make a reservation at 4:30pm the girl who answered the phone asked me for my name, last name and phone number. I asked her if I could have it at 9 and she said that she only have 9.30 or 8.30 I chose 8.30 and when I showed up at the time of my reservation they told me they don t have me on the system. I asked to speak with the manager and told me they don t have available spot for me and my partner. So unprofessional! No costumer service, no apologies. Even I showed them my called and that it lost more than a minute which it was the time that took me to make my reservation would definitely not come back.

I love this place for dinner the food is amazing and the venue is beautiful. I would recommend Komodo to anyone looking for a fine dinning experience...just keep in mind that it can be pricy.

It's a nice place, the food is not bad, they charge too much for regular drinks, but the service is horrible because the tip is included.

Excellent Asian restaurant in brickell excellent atmosphere in the bar and its room. The decoration and atmosphere are very pleasant inside as well as outside. Very good rolls, rice and dessert. Good value for money and atmosphere

What A horrible experience !!!!!!!! Ordered a $220 steak With some appetizers waited for an hour and 40 minutes No stake !We ve been told after by the waitress that there was a mistake ,and the manager is coming to talk ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, No manager ,,,,,,,no steak.

Komodo is an amazing restaurant. Great atmosphere and the food is delicious. Cocktails are prepared very well and taste great. Elena C. is an awesome server. I'd request her every time.

If I could give negative stars I would. Large table. 6 people. Spent over $500 in food. They literally FORGOT 2 orders and when we requested for them to just not send it, they told us it would be out in 2 minutes and wouldn t let us NOT have it. For perspective, we ordered 12 skirt steak tacos, 4 salmon tacos, 3 rolls, one steak , one duck, one crab pasta, 2 orders of ribs, and more. We had an 11pm reservation. Sat at 11:15. Ordered by 11:30. Writing this at 12:45 and we ve received all food except the steak and vegetables, which leaves 2 out of 6 people with nothing to eat. We wanted to leave and send the items back and they WOULDNT LET US. Disgusting. And they charged us for the items that THEY DELIVERED AFTER THEY HAD ALREADY CLEARED THE TABLE. we also ordered coffee and sides of rice that were never delivered. Abhorrent. We were a large bill and and very patient. Disgusting, DISGUSTING.

We were immediately greeted by Louana who suggested that we sit outside becuase of the weather. Our server was not very attentive. We started with the Lobster Dynamite which was dry and tasted stale. We also ordered the Mushroom Lo Mein and the Sweet Soy Salmon. The Lo Mein was amazing, so flavorful. The salmon was cooked rare (which I didnt ask for) but okay overall. I ordered two cocktails, the Dragon Punch is suppposed to come with Grey Goose but it tasted like juice. I ordered the Pineapple Express as well and it was delicious. During our dinner the fire alarm went off and remained on almost the entire time we were eating. Overall, I will not be back to Komodo. The drinks/food were over priced for the quality and the service was below average.

They overcooked my steak and I couldn't taste the Szechuan peppers. The dumplings were very decent. The best items of the evening were the duck lettuce wraps and the sea bass.

Food was ok, but F it was not worth the price. Unless you have money to blow stay away.

I'll just cover some specific things from my experience. I spent $92.47 on my dinner, it already included 18% gratuity, and I also pay more $10 tips for my waitress, however, they totally charged me $181.47, I m not sure would it be so hard to tell the difference between 102.47 and 181.47 I try to contact their restaurant manager, his attitude is good and made a apology to me, and said he will handle this thing with their other departments manager, I leave almost 2 weeks time to let them to check this problem but no reply so far!!!! As a fine dining restaurant, I don t want to discuss your service attitude, but over charge is intolerable!!!!!

What a horrible way to celebrate my brothers birthday. After having Talia take over 20 minutes just to bring us water and then another 40 just to take our orders. We was treated horrible through the entire dinner. Completely messed up our order multiple times and was lied to by Steven the Manager and the other lady manager more than once. Never again

Besides taking 25 min to be seated after reservation, It was worth it they took my request seriously and seated me at a great spot on of the best in the house. The waiter came promptly and took drink orders & cocktails arrived quickly & was perfectly made, Ordered food. Shezuan Steak & Dragon Roll sushi. The steak came out first & sushi was 15 min after. Overall it was a great dinner & experience. Ambiance is fantastic a little on the louder side since they re playing music & people are taking. You can still hold a conversation. Excellent First date/ Romantic Dinner. Dress Code based on what I saw was very Upscale. Overall 11/10.

It s an average place at best. I can only recommend it for drinks because the place has a nice vibe to it. If you want good food this isn t the place you d expect. The recommendations they give lacked real flavor (with the exception of the sea bass skewers). The menu looks cool when you read it but the execution isn t there. Dinner can easily take you over $200 for this Asian Cheesecake Factory experience.

Food is good but over priced for what your getting versus what else is available in the immediate area. Having been here twice I would not go out of my way to come back. Service can also be a bit slow at times, although servers are always very nice.

Delicious food and great ambiance! We celebrated our oldest daughter Birthday at this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was great. It's is a bit pricy but it is worth the money in my opinion. I highly recommend to taste their food!

Really good Asian food... Plenty of options for vegetarians

Party size of 2. The hostess was rude and took about 5 minutes to even acknowledge me standing in front of her guests were not equally treated. I was sat at the smallest table in the furthest corner and told there was no other seating available but when an older/non-minority couple was sat next to us and asked for better seating they were immediately moved. Needless to say, my appetite was ruined after that. My boyfriend and I still ordered drinks and appetizers since we waited so long but decided to enjoy our entree s and desserts somewhere that treats all customers like they are the GUEST not treated like you re lucky to be eating at their establishment.

Ok so it's hyped up. It's a beautiful restaurant and the ambience is great, however, the food is overpriced and mediocre at best. Drinks are super overpriced, small "mule" mugs for $17. $20-25 for apps that barely manage to feed two people. Just not worth it. If the food was delicious then I would recommend but everything is either too salty or too sweet. Not that great umami balance that you look for in Asian cooking.

I must say that I loved KOMODO at one point of my life. But today I experienced the worst scenario ever in history. As I was waiting by the bar for a table I saw the most disgusting, unprofessional and unpleasant seem to be chef belittling one of the employees. Screaming and yelling "shut up" as if this employee was her child. But wait.... it definitely does not end there. My family and I waited for over 30 mins for our food to arrive. I let it go because after all it was a busy friday night. But after ordering dessert (Japanese cheesecakes) I could not believe I took a bite into a hair and literally almost swallowed that long strand of hair. So disgusting!! I dont know who or what is missing but please KOMODO fix the situation.

Excellent the waiter and the staff in general. The food is not worth the price, microscopic portions, rice with duck and ... where is the duck? Clap if they find 2 bits in a row. Expensive and nothing that is said will come back for this dish.

This is a review of one staff only at the desk. Two of the girls was friendly. But the tallest girl was just plain rude and obnoxious. Made you feel that you were not good enough for this restaurant. We are on vacation and no I'm not flashing my expensive clothes, handbag or belly. This would never happen in California - here every one is treated nicely and with respect. Restaurants can't just look at you to determine if you are loaded. And does it really matter? I just want a nice dinner. Do I need to tell you that we left. Food did smell good and the restaurant did look very nice.

The Toro roll was below average. The lobster dynamite did not seem fresh. The wagyu steak was too salty. Overpriced. Quality is poor. Service was ok.

this place was absolutely awful from the beginning to end. The crowd was very low class. Seats in the restaurant are all packed in like sardines. the waiters were not well trained, the food was awful and the music was outdated. Lets start with the food... we ordered sushi rolls which were half decent, but not worth $28 a roll. They brought 4 rolls of sushi one at a time and didn't bring any soy sauce until we requested it. The salads were very sweet dressing loaded with sugar. Every item they made cam lathered in butter and sauce. The chilean sea bass skewers you get 2 mini skewers per order (very small portion). The came out warm, not hot. The main courses at around $50 were very very small portions, they were lathered in sauce and butter, and they also did not come out hot. We ordered a steak for $200 and it was mediocre at best. For some reason they put a sweet and sour sauce on the steak which ruined the whole flavor. I do not see why anyone would want to come to this place.

The legitimacy of some of the reviews are questionable, probably some friends and family .

This place is expensive for the sake of being expensive, while the setting is beautiful, the food is average at most, you can probably get better and cheaper food in any local Japanese and/or Chinese restaurant.
