This is by far the worst leasing company I have ever dealt with. The AC units don't work and the Koll company is too cheap to fix the issue. It gets up to 90 degrees here during the summer and maintenance just says it "can't keep up" during hot days. We have had water leakage issues whenever it rains, and issues with maintenance doing coming into our building during offhours without any notice. DO NOT RENT FROM KOLL.
AVOID YOURSELF A NIGHTMARE! This is literally the worst property management ever. They are a total joke. First of all, they make you sign a 2 year lease. Then they do what they please with your suite whenever they feel like it. Our office was without AC for over a week. IN THE SUMMER!! No prorated rent, no compensation. And finally, they decide to replace the windows and take off our blinds so now we can't even see our monitors.
SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Do your business elsewhere.
In the middle of August heat, Koll decided to redo the roof on our building and shut off the AC in our office. Our office was 92 degrees inside and, due to the fresh tar being poured, smelled like ASPHALT. I could not even walk through the door because the stench was so toxic. It was 100% unsafe to work in and we were forced to work from home.
That went on for a week and a half, plus another week and a half of loud drilling. We're a call center and that's completely inappropriate.
We asked for a break on half our rent since we were essentially kicked out for two weeks (the drilling went on for a month) and they said no. They weren't nice about it either. I can't believe that something like this would happen. Shame on you Koll.
**Update mid-September
The rooftop construction is still going. They pressure washed the roof today without giving us any warning. It is LOUD. We are a call center, and this is so inappropriate. Plus, it wreaks in here now! This is seriously so ridiculous.
Oh, and we still have no blinds, so the office is heating up even more. No AC + no blinds = 88 degrees in here and UNACCEPTABLE.
Suggestions for Koll:
1. Stop treating your tenants like dirt
2. NOTIFY YOUR TENANTS when construction is happening
3. STOP TURNING OFF THE AC UNIT in the MIDDLE OF SUMMER
4. COMPENSATE us for the fact that our office is uninhabitable because of your decision to do construction above our heads
5. Please, just start to care.
I wish I can give "0" if I can. My office has been with AC more than 1 year and I feel like I am in sauna in hot summer. Koll says it is too expensive and have kept saying we are working on it in long term. I also have a noise issue with my neighbor and Koll said we can't do anything with that. Stay away from Koll and recommend not to have business with them.
We have been in the property for nearly a year and we never have a problem.
