Ive just been to here as a student. It was so fun going through the challenge trail, grandpa's flat, the grove, waterfall trail, and to rattlesnake creek. Thank you kreacher, Owl, tundra, edgewise, alpine, pangea, tahoe, cabin leaders, chickenman, other naturalists, and all the teachers who made this trip possible. Thank you Koinonia Conference Grounds for my best week of m life!!! <3 <3 <3 (i cried when I left. That's how sad I was)
Best 2 summers of my life included a week at Jr high camp. It's the best!
It may seem much smaller than some other sites at first-- but they actually easily host a group of 200+. Food is delicious; awesomely family style; you just take a sit at prepared table as friendly young staff serve you the food with smiles.
I have been so blessed by their hospitality, that it got me eager to advertise, leave a review on Google Map for the first time!
It was awesome. I went their with the Bay Area Christian Camp and we really learned what it means to be a disciple
We Spend our Memorial Day in Koinonia and it was a wonderful experience for the whole family. The food, the employees, the volunteers everything was super.
My brother was a cabin leader, and one of the members of the cabin came with the flu. It got my brother sick, then proceeded to get me sick. You people really need to get your priorities straight and not let sick campers go to camp.
Best summer camp ever. I only stayed for a week but I wish I could've stayed forever but since that's not possible I want to stay three weeks. Love this camp.
I loved that place. It was a great memory for me. It helped me make new friends and learn about God and worship him! The Food was great and I Loved being there. The only problem for me was the sleeping issue for me. I Kept crying cause I missed my family ;-;
Bed was awesome!
Hikes were great.
Ropes course was super duper fun!!
i went there for science camp, and it was AWESOME!!!
I stayed here for a few days with an outside group for a retreat. The facilities are kept in clean well working condition. Food was just so so and individuals that were pre-identified as having special dietary needs were accommodated but had to ask at ever meal period and items didn't appear to be readied at the same time. Having no access to cell signal is a great plus if you are a participant... and luckily the pay phone allowed us to connect to 911 when needed. A few nice trails right from the buildings allow you to spend time in nature too. As a no-religious person I found the few Christian relics appropriate and not overbearing (many non-religious groups look to this facility).
I had just came back as a Cabin Leader, and my boys were so energetic, but will always follow the rules, and we even got stellar cabin award. The food was nutritious and good, it was served with a lot of variety, and it was family style. Best of all, you could take as much as you wanted!!
The hikes were awesome because we explored a lot of diverse ground, as well look for newts at the creek. The sleeping was comfortable, and the temperature was respectable. The campfires were fun and enjoyable for my boys, and I am going as a Cabin Leader next year as well.
