Hidden Gem only 30 mi from Bryce National Park. Easy hikes within the park with breathtaking views. Facilities such as restrooms and showers are very nice and well maintained. The bunkhouses are quite the treat, sleeping 4 very comfortably, near the laundromat and restrooms and away from the campground it makes you feel like you are the only one living in the park.

We stayed two nights at Kodachrome and it was a great experience! Our campsite was in the Arch Campground. It was very quiet and the views of the stars at night were incredible! The bathrooms at Arch campground were just vault toilets (no showers and no sink) but they were clean and well stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
Now the highlight of the stay was the bathrooms at the Oasis campground. They were about a mile drive further into the park but well worth it if you are uncomfortable with a vault toilet. The Oasis bathrooms had very clean flush toilets and sinks. The showers were absolutely incredible! Super clean and immaculate. They had a private entrance into each shower stall with a locking door and no annoying shower curtains that inevitably get stuck to you. It was very impressive for a state park!
The park itself is absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed the scenery and the amazing star views at night. There is no cell phone service out here but it is such a nice break from the world. The park is about a 30 minute drive to Bryce Canyon but it is such a beautiful drive that it doesn t seem that far.
Definitely recommend this state park!

Just magical! Rented one of the cabins here, as well as one of the camping sites, over Thanksgiving weekend. We loved the quiet. Wish the cabins had their own fire ring but that s why we also rented a camping site so we could have a fire. The cabins were lovely, equipped with electricity and heat. The wide bunk beds and futon were great. The four of us slept well. We were able to set up a projector and watch a movie at night. There is lots of hiking within the park that kept us active, as well as lots hiking within a short drive. The cabins had regular toilets nearby so that was convenient as well.

Nice, high vistas. Some unique views. Short drive into the park with just a few hikes. Nice short several hours activity, though the drive is out of the way, but that makes it less crowded. Definitely hick up to Angels Palace!

We were there on a short visit during the first half of April. The park is not huge, but most interesting with a number of shorter hikes (of which we did one) permitting the exploration of this geological wonderland. There is a small visitor center with a staff that proved more than helpful and forthcoming during our visit. They even took care of informing our lodge after our departure that we would arrive later than anticipated (mobiles don't seem to work out there). And the same friendliness was also shown by the wrangler offering trailrides in the park as he accepted to take our daughter (who has got Down Syndrome) on a small tour adapted to her possibilities during after hours.
