If I could give no starts i would! This is the worst hospital I've ever been in. The staff is rude and uncaring. They definitely act like they hate there job. Not 1 person was nice to us.. Noone was upstanding or helpful. My daughter was honest in questions and felt judged. The place is dirty as hell. I feel they did not take care of my daughter properly. I hope there are no kids who come here because the staff is so rude and unfriendly... im so angry and upset. Hope this hospital is fixed or replaced soon.

trying to schedule a ct scan for a diverticulitis attack and they won't even help me to make an appointment for at least 24 hours then who knows when that appointment will be. Great patient care !

My grandma came to this hospital for a tummy ache then called us said they admit it her an she was being taking care of with hours later came another call saying everything is falling with her health an die here within 2 days of being there when we came she had wholes in each sides of her neck an a tube inside her mouth like it looked like it was surgery did without my mother permission or warning they wouldn t let us in her room to touch her to see if she was okay hurt or anything I believe they did something to my grandma an I want answers an also she went in with all her belongings now we can t find her phone or wallet !!!

It's the worst, slowest, dirtiest rude hospital I have ever been too. I hate this is the only hospital out here. They make you wait for life threatening emergencies. I have to go all the way to Chicago for a good doctor and I don't mind. Better than dealing with them. Wouldn't take my grandkids here either. Northwestern shouldn't have joined with Kish, because Northwestern is a excellent hospital. Kish is giving Northwestern a bad rep!!!!

Extremely rude staff and service. Doctors and social workers are very misleading and uninformative. Expect long waits and an overall horrible experience. You're better off driving to the next hospital over. If you're admitted here then I feel sorry for you.

Had ups and downs here. But the thing that turned me off was when I saw a husband and wife together, no prob. A mom and son, no prob. But my 'sister ' is dealing with a negative all by herself and they wont let me stay with her. Anyone else gets to be together. Why are we restricted???? Family is family. Let it be. You have one person. And they stop that connection?? Go ahead let people be alone. I'd rather drive an hour to the city hospital and be CARED for then near my house with no one.

My sister brought my almost 2 year old nephew to the ER. She told them he had been vomiting for 14 hours, like 20 times. They didn't believe her and sent her home. 12 hours later she is at another hospital with him and he's admitted with severe dehydration and already had 3 bags of fluids and not better. Kishwaukee staff should be ashamed of themselves, endangering a toddler because they couldn't be bothered to evaluate him. I would never take my children there.
**Update: Tried to call the number this hospital gives in reply and goes straight to voicemail.**

100% would recommend if you are looking for a close hospital to have your babies at! I ve had twins and a single birth there both times were really awesome, especially when I had blood pressure issues afterwards. But the ER is very hit or miss. You will have a very long wait regardless of time or day. The doctors and nurses are usually great with the exception of a few that couldn t care less and obviously want their shift to end.

Have been here several times and had nothing but a good experience. From the E.D to the room all staff I (we) encountered were very caring, helpful & friendly. It shows the staff truly enjoys their job & puts the patient first.

My sister, who is terminal, was brought home yesterday on hospice. After arriving home and the ambulance leaving it was discovered that she came home without the medication she desperately needed to make her comfortable. THE HOSPITAL SENT HER HOME WITHOUT MEDICATION! I called the hospital about it, they said they would look into it and call me back. I'm still waiting for that call! Unbelievable! Finally hospice was able to get her meds but not until 8 hours later because I had to sign her up with a different hospice firm since my sister lives outside Heartland Hospice Care service area. You'd think they would have known that before we signed up, at my sister's house the day before! I will never use use Kishwaukee or Heartland again. I'll make the farther drive.
