I m seeing a lot of people complain about this hospital, DO NOT BELIEVE IT on my end personally. I am new to Brooklyn and had been going to kings county which I can definitely say is the worst hospital ever. I had a nair hair removal burn some months back in a place I rather not mention but you get the picture .. anyway I could not walk for days and my skin had been coming off due to the acid long story short I went to kings county and did not have Medicaid they gave me a powder and didn t know what to do at all. I went 3 days straight then the EMT asked if I wanted to go to kingsbrook I wasn t familiar with the place but when I did go it was clean and they checked on me right away , even helping me with my clothes being that it was painful to take off and walk or turn side to side ... they took their time with me and gave me the best medication without any insurance. I was in an out in about 2 hours which was short compared to kings county I was there for 9 hours and no one helped me at all there was even a fight that occurred several times between a patient and doctor , Kings brook also told me that I had been pregnant, coming December I will be back to go to them for delivery I absolutely love this place I hope I get the same great experience.

The nurses ignore you when you go to the desk to get assistance for a patient. I rang the bell and waited 15 minutes before someone scrolled in. They don't change the patient often enough. The food the level unattended, serve it cold because it is sitting by the elevator. Very unhappy with this place.
There are 2 nurses that are nice the others no. if they don't have compassion for patience and family members then get another job.

I'm a former temporary employee at Kingsbrook Hospital. I was hired by Antonio Cannon from the Human resources talent acquisition team. Antonio is a highly intelligent young man. He went above and beyond to stay late at work until 8:30 pm to be exact just to get my pre-employment paperwork processed. He processed all my pertinent paperwork quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, he was always professional and polite and kept me posted with follow-up emails or telephone calls regarding my pre employment status. After I was hired, I encountered a minor issue with my schedule. Antonio jumped on it and immediately resolved the issue quickly and with great satisfaction. I want kingsbrook hospital to know that Antonio is truly an amazing and precious gem. I'm extremely impressed with his level of wisdom and professionalism and enjoyed interacting with him. He's a tremendous asset to Kingsbrook and will be an asset to any company. Antonio, you're awesome. Keep up the good work!

Well this place is alright, just be nice to the staff and medical personnel, and they'll be nice to you.

I went to the dental office and honestly this was the best experience I've ever has with a dentist. Dr. Johnston was just amazing she made me super comfortable and did an amazing job. I had a tooth extracted and it took so much medicine to get numb but she was so patient and super sweet with me. I'll definitely recommend them especially Dr Johnston. She was so funny and did a great job taking out the tooth.

WORSE HOSPITAL IN BROOKLYN!!!! They work with no sense of urgency!!!!!! Once you come to the emergency room they call you fairly quick, then when you go to the back you are there ALL DAY! Be sure to ask for a damn stretcher, cause you re going to sleep before help arrives. So frustrating.

PATIENTS & STAFF AT THIS HOSPITAL!! THIS CONCERNS YOU!
I arrived at the hospital this evening around 7pm because I was vomiting uncontrollably due to my severe anxiety that was induced with alcohol from that morning. Once the alcohol was gone the vomiting continued for hours(due to anxiety) raising concern. All of the service at this hospital was honorable, that is until I met my nurse, Tracy. I greeted her with a smile calling her by name and everything seemed to turn south from there. The first issue I noticed was her unfriendliness as a nurse. Since I arrived with anxiety, and told her my issues with anxiety, I thought she would be a lot more relaxing and reassuring.
From Tracy, all I got was missed information, long wait times(while she sat in a chair, knowing I needed attention), and a constant attitude. (Keep in mind I'm a friendly person who respects the duties of hospital workers). A hostiptal is a safe place. I had other friendly staff...but my nurse, Tracy, completely ruined my experience to get healthy in a safe place where I could get better and go home.
After waiting over three hours for my medication(it's 12:00am, I am 19 y/o college student, I run my own business, and I've been here since 7pm) she comes in the room and places a cup of water without a lid on my hospital bed and I reached for it (because I assumed it was mine and I didn't want it to spill on me) she said "Don't touch that" in a cold way that would make one feel discouraged. She continues to check my blood pressure then gives me the medication. As she is distributing it to me I nicely ask I would be getting out of there anytime soon(because of all of my other responsibilities listed above). Tracy's reply was "No I have to say right here and monitor you since you have "anxiety" so bad right??" Just like that. Say it in the most condescending and sarcastic was you can and that's what a NURSE said to their PATIENT. I was flabbergasted and I said "is that really how you, as a nurse, should be speaking to your patient that puts their trust in you? Her response was "that's how you feel". Truly degrading to the face of nurses.
My anxiety was diminishing until this incident in which she indirectly said I didn't have anxiety with her sarcastic tone. That made my heart race so fast. Imagine someone saying your not sick when you've been fighting the battle for years. She goes to the desk, in front of my hospital bed, glares at me, then shakes her head. I close the curtains so I could try to get calm and don't have to see her. WORST PART: She comes and literally RIPS my curtains open all the way in a complete temper tantrum, struggling to continue ripping them back until I am fully exposed.
This was my turning point. I took off my blood pressure strap, and started getting ready to discharge....Tracy approaches me and says "what are you doing to yourself?" And I said I am ready to be discharged now. She tries to tell me that I cannot leave, almost as if she doesn't know the law and wants to hold me captive. It's my right to get out and I had to take out my own iv and leave.
Tracy loves the power that this job gives her to manipulate sick patients into thinking she's the boss on all accounts reguardless of respect or duties assumed by her. It concerns me that she is able to speak on my behalf to doctors to see what is best for me. This RN, Tracy, does not belong in a health care facility. There are so many sweet, caring nurses that would do anything to have the opportunity to make people feel better.
To the Doctors or whomever is in charge of your beautiful hospital: please re-evaluate your RN Tracy in reguards to her professional and personal relationships with her patients. As well as the difference between mood and feeling, she was unable to differentiate between the two.

My Aunt was left unattended at this facility without her pain medication for more than two hours past her regular dose period..My family who was also visiting her was so distressed by our inability to comfort her when finally a nurse who was attending another patient in the room assisted by calling the nurse to administer the pain med which provided some relief. God Bless her

INCREDIBLY neglectful hospital! Please be careful and question their medicine and diagnosis!! They misdiagnosed me with white matter lesions and colluded to try and downplay their mistake. Very "alternative facts" type place.
Please please please if you are a stroke victim or tia please do not choose this establishment. Be especially cautious of Dr. Dogar and the ER doctor Dr. Hanna (unsure of spelling). Please request them to double check, and ask about they're level of certainty.

This place need a big time makeover, it's so stuck back in time. Hallway floors, restroom, paint on the walls need major help. The staff on my mother's floor seem nice, pleasant and friendly. That's why I give them really 2 1/2 stars.

Terrible experience. The doctor did nothing during his exam of my mother. The doctor and nurses were, for the most part, nasty and unprofessional. I could hear the doctor reading patients their test results from the other side of the room. Disturbing. I would never go back there.

Depressing, if I was seriously in need of a doctor, I would probably apply to med school, do my 8 years, then after graduation, treat myself. That would be quicker

A lot of people are complaining about wait times, rudeness of staff, and dirtiness of the hospital. While these are all valid and legitimate concerns, the fact of the matter is that this hospital does not adequately take care of its patients. Very frequently, people die here when they truly should not have. People get sicker with hospital acquired infections, decubitus ulcers, etc. Any hospital has cases like these, but this hospital has an unfair share of them. I am surprised it has taken this long for the hospital to start to close down. I have worked in over 7 hospitals around the country and abroad, and I am abhorred at what I have seen in my little time here. Additionally, this hospital operates without Electronic Medical Records (EMR), a computer program that keeps all the patients' important information organized and in one place (admission notes, progress notes, medications, physician orders, etc.). What this means is that nurses, doctors, other healthcare workers are scrambling over pieces of loose paper containing important patient information that is often illegible and FREQUENTLY lost or mixed up with another patient. Can you imagine being given medications that were meant for a different patient? Can you imagine having the wrong side of your body checked because someone's handwritten "L" looked like an "R" in your patient chart? Please do not go to this hospital unless you want to take a chance with your or your loved one's health and wellbeing.

I came to visit one of my students in the rehab center. The staff was cold and hard to find when something is needed. The children were stuck in their rooms with nothing to do except when school was in session. There was no recreation or activities for the children most of whom have special needs. The bathroom was filthy.
