We went for the Halloween scare night. The roller coasters are AMAZING, no long lines when I went(Sunday afternoon), ferry s wheel is great. Food is a little bit overpriced but it s not crazy. Some haunted houses were good but some others were really bad. Not as scary as I expected. The dance and performance was very entertaining and I had a great time overall.

Yesterday was the first time I have been back to Kings Dominion since high school in 2006. However since then my family have been to amsuement parks and theme parks all over the country to include Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Legoland etc. For this being Kings Dominion first year with a Christmas Theme, I hope they keep it up for next year! Although it is not on the scale of Disney (however, better then Knotts and Legoland Ca) it was great for the price and distance traveled! The shows and performances were great and worth seeing. In addition the arts and crafts and mailing letters to Santa along with pictures with Santa and Snoopy made it fun for the kids. The ice staring ring in the center of town was beautiful! Also the lights and decorations need to remain for years to come! A couple recommendations for the park would be to open a few more rides considering this is an amsuement park (i.e outerlimits which is indoors) and add some heaters to some of the out door shows theater seats. I hope Kings Dominion keep this up next year as it was a great event for the whole family.

The place has changed a lot in the last 10 years and some of the nostalgic things I remember are gone Some of the old rides don't hold up terribly well and the food will always be over priced (14.99 for a regular cheeseburger that, while passible, is 100% microwaved). The price of admission is worth it for the Dominantor, Intimidator, and Twisted Timbers. Just bring snacks, a good pair of shoes, and your brown pants for that drop on the Intimidator.

Kings dominion....When it was Paramount Kingsdominion it was better and cheaper. I wonder who does the accounting for this place because EVERYTHING is super high. I m going to explain my disappointment in a minute about the three stars but the pizza was delicious!! I m disappointed with how the employees treat the guest; I m also disappointed with just leaving my personal belongings in a bin for someone to potentially steal it. Please do something about your coordination because some rides have bins and other ones have lockers. If your lines are going to be long have a fast pass line that way your guest can get back to their locker and not have to pay for it unless they want to. I get it though, the bottom line is to make money but you could make more money if you all would change some things. All your rides should be fully functional and the rides that need work fix it. Moreover, if you want to compete with other parks, find out what will give your guest an excellent experience.

Fun rides, nice park. You can't go wrong with a season pass with meal plans! The cons are they run out of ice ALOT, they run out of food (eat early cause they stop cooking 2 hours before the park closes) they are under staffed and won't run multiple cars during weekdays even if they are busy.

Dude, been coming here for what feels like forever. Always have had a good time. The coasters here are the best I've ever rode. Overall great place. Bring lots of money as things inside the park are expensive.

Fun exciting roller coasters for adults, teens and younger thrill seekers. Planet Snoopy is perfect for toddlers 36 inches and taller. They do have quite a few rides for smaller babies with an adult sitting with them. Character meet and greets are fun and well managed. Highly recommend season passes, dining plans and the drink cups.

Had a wonderful time not all lines were long very family friendly and the foot massagers throughout the park for achey parent feet is genius! Definitely should stay at a hotel nearby if coming from far because they're pretty affordable and you'll need the rest.

Guys, are you serious ? Having 2 lanes merging into 1 for traffic to get out from the park (especially on 4th of July) when thousands of cars on a parking lot. We were sitting and waiting for an hour in a line!!! Shame. You could do better, it is very disrespectful to visitors.

In full disclosure I'm not an amusement park person, abhor the heat, and was operating on little sleep due to some loud neighbors at the hotel we stayed at the night before so...will need to take that into consideration :) Lots of grumpy ride workers and vendors. Not all but most were that way which does have an affect on the experience. I didnt believe they had enough benches for people to sit on throughout the park. Especially in the areas of the smaller children rides (planet snoopy). There were sewage smells throughout the park. Ride time for Joe Cool's driving school was extremely short. I would say from the time the cars were turned on to drive til they turned the cars off was 2 minutes maybe. And my kid had issues with her vehicle so one of the workers had to help get her started which he was in no hurry to do for her even given how short the ride time was. Arcade was not well maintained. Some broken games not marked off, dirty machines, etc. Staff there were more interested in hanging out and talking to each other than helping customers. Panda express was delicious but very expensive. I had a shrimp bowl with some chow mein (small) and it was nearly $20 not including a drink.

great rides but staff and guests weren t friendly. i was using the handicap pass cause i ve had 3 knee surgeries and the guests were very rude when me and my one friend got on any of the rides. the staff was giving us mixed information on the paperwork making me and other handicaps stand there for 20 minutes waiting for someone to even look at my paper even tho i had my papers visible and then told us we had to wait another 30 minutes and most of the employees would give us an attitude. wasn t the best experience overall.

A bit overpriced, fast pass more than the actual ticket. Food choices limited and very very overpriced. Some of the rides were very good but several were down for maintenance lowering the value we got for the price. Very few shows. Odd they want you to pay some additional not cheap prices for some rides/attractions. The volcano was permanently closed. Park was clean.

Twisted timbers is must ride. Arrive early to avoid lines and get the opportunity to ride the popular attractions twice or more in a row before the crowds arrive. If you like funnel cake, there's a boardwalk fries shoppe in soak city that has funnel cake fries! Same taste, much less mess

I had a lot of fun and the park is beautiful! My only complaint is that most of the equipment is not built for curvy people so it makes it really hard to find rides. So if you are curvy I highly suggest planning where you wanna go as far as ride wise or having alternatives in case you can not get on.

Better and closer than Dismal Land. Fun rides, good coasters, all the usual water park stuff. Parking is 20 but with a season pass you get free parking. Pro tip- there are a few covered picnic benches in the parking lot. Bring food and lunch there an then go back to the park. Park food, like any tourist place, is a rip. You can ask for courtesy cups of water. Much to do; have stayed open till close.

Best part is that it's less than 30 minutes from my house, but it has something for everyone in my family, including a 2 year old. Water park is fun, facilities are good and personnel are helpful and friendly. It's just good fun!

There were times I would have rated Kings Dominion with 5 stars but there have been many changes and none are currently positive. I have heard many negative comments from employees throughout the park so I suspect they aren t treated to well by corporate. Shock wave is gone. The mountain is gone along with Volcano and even the older mountain rides such as the haunted river. All classic favorites. The Rebel Yell has been renamed and it was difficult to find the entrance. The one major change that I would like to see is recycling for all the plastic containers. Food is much pricier here. I have also been going to Hershey and Busch Gardens since I was a kid. They ve had changes too but mostly have been positive. I d go either of those parks over KD in the future. It makes me sad because I used to love this park most. 2019.

My kids, 4, 5 and 10 years old all love the Winterfest. Even my niece, 6 years old, first time coming to KD, and she said she wants to come back.

Couple things I noticed this year they didn't have the Christmas Carol or the Christmas Past/Present/Future walking around. We went twice so far but didn't see it. Another thing they don't allow this year is to sit inside the carriage.

One thing I would love to see the reinforcement no smoking at the not designate area, especially in the kids area, for example the Snoopy World.
