This place needs to be shut down. No point in spending all that money on a youth jail to set kids up for failure when they need resources that will help them with school and their life in general. This institution is evil.

Piss on the walls no support for kids. These workers have a lack of perspective this place should be shut down.

This is just for kids to learn so when they think about doing a crime to maybe self defense they dont do it bc they will know what would happen

This place stinks, I wish the millions it cost to build and the millions it will cost to maintain were used for something productive

What an educational and eye-opening experience. I was here for a few weeks. Had to wear a navy blue juvy uniform shirt, navy blue uniform pants, white undershirts, white socks and brown flip flops. I was frustrated when I wore them for the first time but now I know that these uniforms made me a better person because they definitely made me not want to do come back to this place again. I thank all the staff and detention/probation officers who tried to help us. They were strict but now I know that they saved my life and I thank them. I'm a better person because of them.

What a dirty filthy place.
This doesn't help kids it makes them harder. I did a few weekends and a longer stay or two. The P hall where you go when you get booked is unmaintained and very unsanitary i remember once i was put in a cell that was so dirty and stunk of urine with poo on the walls and on a shirt on the bunk with some rotten old food that was obviously snuck in cuz you cant save things or bring them to your cell its not like you get out anyways. 22 hours a day youd be locked up. The adults treat you like garbage and dont help you when you may need it theyll laugh when you need T.P.
There was church on sunday and school which doesn't help because it's just random no REAL curriculum its just something used to occupy time and do the minimum the the work is so old and easy. Gym is pretty rare too
Kids fight and intimidate each other choose gangs and just learn all the wrong things. Opposite the lesson meant to be learned
I wish i was qualified to help kids here and last improve the facilities
