I went on a tour of the distillery, and I thought it was very interesting and a great value. I've done several distillery tours before, but this was the first one that I've done which went through the more historical process for distilling, in addition to the modern facilities. It was not overly commercial or busy either, which I especially appreciated. The tasting room at the end of the tour (and, of course the whisky that we tasted) was especially nice.

Very friendly staff who are more than willing to have a chat and talk whiskey. One of the few actual distillers in Ireland distilling their own whiskeys as part of a bigger group. But each with their own distinct flavors. Very much worth it.

Very low key and informative. This is a modern working distillery with all of the historical bits in full view. Finish off with a sample in the tasting room. The cafe is a great place to eat a tasty simple lunch. The story of how the river was engineered back in the day to provide waterwheel power is fascinating. Kilbeggan is my favorite Irish whiskey now.

A fun look at the history of Irish whiskey. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the old process used in distillation. The tour shows some of the original vats and pot stills from the 1700s. Top it off with a tour of the new, boutique distillery and a tasting of three whiskeys. After they have a gift shop where you can buy any from their portfolio with at least one whiskey on sale.

Overall a great experience and recommended for anyone passing through on the motorway looking for a pit stop.

Great tour! Very informative, staff was exceptionally knowledgeable. This is a functioning facility, go here during the week to see everything in action. They offer whiskey tasting toward the end of the tour, they also have a cash/credit bar available afterwards to try anything Kilbaggen has to offer, try the flights, great deal! Gift shop also on site to buy any bottles and smaller merchandise. No clothing, however.

What an experience! Come and discover a part of the History. Single grain, single malt and blend, great work!
Try the peated collection at the bar.
The 14 tour is really interesting, about the history of the old and the new Kilbeggan.

We chose not to visit the "other" distillery. This one is the oldest in Ireland.
Very interesting full of memory tour, knowledgeable and friendly guide, with testing class at the end !
Whiskey is truely good.
Since we didn't register any luggage, following our guide's advice, we bought the bottles of Kilbeggan whiskey at the duty free shop in Dublin.

We arrived at the perfect time, off season. Oodles of parking available onsite. They've got a cafe offering drinks, sandwiches and delectable desserts. Ended up having an intimate tour of the museum, working distillery and tasting flight of Kilbeggan's finest offerings. The tour was quick, the information was condensed and to the point. I'd recommend doing this if you've got time.
