So our first experience there. The service was fantastic. Our server actually recommended something for me when I asked for something that they didn't have and it turned out to be delicious and awesome. The food was awesome. The service was awesome. Definitely going to be going back. It's a great restaurant.
Had to try this place. Mostly out of curiosity. It is on many must eat list for Corpus Christi. It also has many bad reviews. Ordered the special. Comes with a cheese enchilada ( I asked for cheese instead of gravy. I have gravy. They didnt even charge extra). Comes with fajita meat, house made corn tortillas, rice and charro beans. All was really good. Some of the complaints was quality of meat. The meat had good flavor. Tender as heck. Sure it had some connective tissue, but not bad. Look at the pile they give you. For the price it is worth it. The chips and salsa were great. Staff was on top of everything. I think many of the complaints are bogus.
About 30 min wait, comfortable but a bit noisy. Waitress was nice and apologized when the kitchen made my order wrong. Carne Guisada is delicious. Beans takes good any way you choose to order them. Rice is a bit light in color and could have more flavor. Would eat there again and try something else.
Great Food and Service!!! Very pleased with everything and at a very fair price. My family and I will definitely be coming back.
That was genuinely disgusting and smelled so gross. I couldn t eat it. I never write bad reviews this is actually my first ever... but this is a warning if you want something that taste like home don t come here. I almost threw up to the smell and there was hair in my to go box. The only good thing is the tortillas. The cheese smelt so bad I couldn t eat it and the vegetable side of the meal stunk so bad like they ve sat out all day. This was brunch time. :(
A South Texas staple! If you're from Corpus Christi you know what I'm talkin' about!
Grab a margarita, some queso ranchero and enchiladas.
You're gonna need a wheel barrel once you're done.
I have been a regular customer at Kiko s for the past 40 years and until my last two to-go orders have always been very pleased with the quality of the food as well as the price. Something has changed though and as a result I will not eat there again. Two weeks ago I ordered the fajita plate to go and received the stringy roast beef like meat that they put in their puffy tacos. It was 45 minutes before closing so I chalked it up as simply that. This evening I ordered fajitas to go again and was told on the phone it would be $38. When I got there the check out clerk told
me it would be $48. I asked why and she said because I substituted guacamole for queso. They used to serve guacamole with it. Whatever, that s fine. Then; however, I received notice from my credit card company that they charged me $58.42. I called to inquire and was told that it s $7.99 extra for guacamole and $7.99 extra for beef fajitas and that they charged me $48.60. No, they charged me $58.42. No resolution. Will have to call credit card company to resolve because I am not paying $58.42 for beef fajitas for two.
My go-to place for Mexican food is Kiko's. I loved their food. I tried the Kiko's special it was fantastic. It consist of 1 cheese enchiladas,1 chalupa, rice and beans with beef and chicken fajitas. The best fajitas I have eaten so tender melt in your mouth.
Kiko's is always delicious. If you go during peak times there can be a long wait time, but the food is definitely worth the wait. Also, flour chips are a must!
