Cool place to visit if your in the Corbin area. I thought it would be more exiting and more to see but it was nice. Basically a couple exhibits which I believe were mostly recreated. Some cool memorabilia and pictures on display. As far as the restaurant, I love KFC but this location, the food wasn't that great nor the service.

only worth going because it's the first KFC ever. Food in there is the exactly the same as in any other kfc, and the staff is just decent. The first KFC deserves something way better than what they have now, which is just a few displaying old things like a kitchen, a bedroom, and a register. Just once in a lifetime is good enough unless you live nearby.

Fantastic friendly staff, the food is great, and this is a great historical landmark. There is so much to learn here about KFC and Colonel Sanders. With several antiquities that he used to start this company and even for his day to day life. This is really a good peek back in time, I would definitely tell anyone passing by here to stop by for a bite.

I'm not giving the food 5 stars. The food was just KFC, same old same old. So that food I rate at 2 stars...This place gets 5 stars bc it's a part of the KFC history and it was cool and interesting to see how it started and everything this place offered like lodging and gas. Worth the trip even if it's a little out of the way.

Why KFC has changed I don't know. They seem to never get your order complete. 5 x no cookies in 5 fill ups. The chicken strips are way too hard to eat. And my extra biscuits or extra Cole slaw is always missing.
It's a great little museum of history but definitely not worth driving for. Unfortunately we've switched to bojangles, Cane's, and chic fillet. Sorry KFC ....

This is the tastiest museum I've ever been in.

Although I came with the intention of finally stealing Col. Sanders' secret recipe for my very own, I left with a full belly and appreciation for the fried chicken that comes out of the great state of Kentucky.

I never did find out what those 11 herbs and spices were, but I didn't need to. As long as I can go to the end of the block to find the same taste that the Colonel intended, I'm fine with them remaining a mystery.

This is the best Kentucky Fried Chicken in the United States I always try to make a point of stopping there if I'm driving through. It should be at National Historical location being the first KFC where one of the greatest men on earth created one of the greatest products on Earth.

Great chicken and great place to stop off and see the origional KFC kitchen museum. When I travel through with family I get photos of nieces and nephews with the Colonel. It's a blast for me and I think it embarrasses the kids but all in good fun I really think they like it to.

For the first KFC ever it's pretty disappointing. All it is is a normal KFC with normal KFC food stuck in the original building. Some of the exhibits they have in the eating area are cool though it's worth checking out if you are in the area and want KFC

I buy my dinner there at least 3 days a week. I love kfc. Although today girl at the drive thru was rude. And when I got my hot wings they had been microwaved needless to say they were nasty.

Terrific! If you want to plunge into the history and eat a truly delicious chicken cooked according to the original recipe of Colonel Sanders, then you definitely need to come here!
Very interesting exposition. A cozy place and an unusual menu that you will not see anymore in any KFC restaurant around the world.
I want to stay longer in this place, so as to get deeper into this atmosphere.
I recommend to visit! Very interesting place!

Just want chicken, didn't want soda, sides. Asked person at counter what pieces were in the 3 piece ,4 piece she didn't not know.! Seriously... The whole in counter was awful. I am taking the order back for a refund. The chicken looks awful, unsatisfied "period".

People always take for granted the nearby places that are local attractions...It always amazes me to drive by the local KFC with Museum and see people posing for pictures out front by the sign. I think the Museum and Cafe need some TLC and a good CLEANING; it is an important local, state, and nationwide place and it looks shabby and sad. Water stains on the ceiling, cracking plaster, damaged furniture, and broken glass are easy fixes that can make us proud again of the museum. One thing that really needs to be addressed is the bathroom odor, most restaurants have bathrooms away from the 'eating area' or at least 'double doors' or a wall. The food is GREAT as always!! But there are no 'mature' people to answer question about the museum, to care for it, or to take pride in the place...it's just a job to them. Our town revolves around the 'chicken' theme and like all things in this town we are letting our 'treasures' go to ruin.

Very interesting place, it is where all this business started, you can take a little tour around the restaurant to see the old story of the KFC man.
Their meals are really cool and better than other branches.

You'd think that this should be a flagship location, top notch, but it isn't. The displays are great but the food and service were a disappointment. The biscuits were hard as a rock (literally) and the counter was slow and uninviting, reminiscent of any other KFC. Visit for the nostalgia but dont have high hopes for the restaurant.

Check out the old menu.

It was pretty neat to see the original Kentucky Fried Chicken. I already like to eat there so I really wanted to go to this one. It was not as much of a big deal as I expected, but neat to see. It is something I can say that I have been to. They have a nice place to sit and eat.

Museum part was cool. Food quality was not great. Ordered two small things and they came with sauce just thrown on them in a nasty drippy mess that barely made it on the chicken and was more in the wrapper. Expected better quality from the original.

KFC s first store, the birthplace of KFC, is also the KFC Museum. Taking into account the health factors, I have not eaten KFC for several years. But when it comes to its birthplace, how can you not come to a bucket? Its scent of taste, can not help but not let people eat fast. I thought that Uncle KFC opened the first restaurant on the roadside. He paid attention to people's tastes and studied food formulas and production techniques. The pedestrians and vehicles in the past had to stop and enter the store to enjoy his good cooking. His store business is booming. But the good times didn't last long, because the highway was not far away, the street was suddenly deserted, and the business in the store could not be maintained. He had to give up the restaurant. The setback did not defeat Uncle KFC, and he was looking for a new store along the road with his craftsmanship and formula. Later, he simply sold his business methods and formulas and opened tens of thousands of KFCs around the world. No matter how big or small, do it with your heart, stick to it, and see spring. A little childish feeling. Inspirational.

Took 20 minutes to get a small cup of macaroni with only 10 people in front of us.

Location is nostalgic though and the artifacts are really cool! The overall vibe was neat and I can see someone who loves chicken being excited about this place.

Not too far off of the highway, worth it

Finger licking good... Naturally. Not only was the food what you would expect from a KFC, but you are eating in the original location which also serves as a neat little museum. Definitely the best KFC experience I've ever had.

Every time I go to Corbin Ky to eat at Kentucky Fried Chicken I am very disappointed. They leave food out that I order all the time. I was going to check my order last time I was there and the girl said its all there, I checked it myself. I got home and of course there wasn't any mashed potatoes and gravy.
