Worst telephone service that I have ever experienc...

Worst telephone service that I have ever experienced. Half the time the call disconnects before you get a chance to talk to someone. The other half the time someone picks up and places you on hold indefinitely while you listen to explicit gangster rap as their choice for on hold music. I m done trying to call to do business with these guys.

Stay away from this place. Once you pay for a Mercedes here, all customer service goes out the window. I purchased a Mercedes GLK and extended warranty back in 2016 at this location. I assumed that the warranty would be automatically included in my file which was a BIG mistake.

My Mercedes engine check light just came on and the code reader said that there was a problem with the particulate filter (this is a common issue among the diesel engines). I took my Mercedes to a local Mercedes dealership and explained the situation. Fortunately, it was still covered under the original manufacturer warranty. However, one of the sales managers reported that my warranty was almost expired. I was confused because I paid additional $4,000 for an extended warranty that would last until 2022 through Keyes European. I went back home and found the warranty and noticed that it said it was valid through 2022.

So... I called up Keyes European to try and ask why my warranty wasn t active. I was getting transferred through multiple financial people and wasn't able to physically talk to anyone. Lots of voicemails... I was finally able to get a hold of one person in the finance department but he told me that he wasn't sure what my finance manager did regarding my warranty and said that he would refer my message to the appropriate person. Four days went by and still haven't heard back from anyone. I have never experienced such terrible customer service from a dealership.

Weeks go by and I've been transferred to several different people and have left numerous voicemails detailing my problem but no one has gotten back to me. I've tried to talk to the general manager of the store but he has also been unavailable. I don t live in LA so I couldn t just walk in and talk to someone. I am completely baffled of the customer service area of this store. It seems like you get good service when you buy a car but everything changes after that.

So as of now, I have a $4,000 piece of paper that is completely useless. Be prepared to juggle through hoops if someone goes wrong with your car.

Update:

After 2 months of haggling back and forth. I finally was able to talk to the general manager of the store and he was able to get the problem fixed. However, there were no apologies made. I shouldn't have to try this hard to get a simple problem fixed. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Kind of place which makes you want to wash your hands twice, and never come back. May be even never buy another car...
I visited Keys Mercedes Benz with my girlfriend yesterday and, yes, she leased a car. She liked the car... I was helping her so I had to spend 4 hours with these crooks and liars.
I am in consulting so I know what it means to sell business and what it means to negotiate. And this is not what these guys do. They just lie straight in your face. When caught, smile and lie again. Here are some examples:
- After test-driving the first car we spotted another one which we liked. When asked about packages and options, the sales person said that the other one is slightly better because it has a premium package so it is more expensive but other than that it was identical. Well, at the very last moment we noticed that the other car is NOT 4Matic and does not have park-assist. MSRP was also lower than the sales person said (he insisted that he was giving us a better deal while MSRP was just no as high as he stated).
- Sales person asked about the current lease. Once he was given all details (the previous car was not MB) he said "You have only one payment left. I will pay it for you! I will write you a check right now..." An hour later we figured out that there were three payments left and he tried to pay only for one.
- When discussing personal and financial information they provide no discretion. Both sales people and finance guys shout so everyone on the floor can hear them
- Sales person asked for SSN right a way, Two hours later we negotiated exact price (inducing monthly payments, term, down-payment etc.). Then, fifteen minutes AFTER WE SHOOK HANDS and written all the details on paper, he came back and said that SSN does not work. He re-run it and said that due to credit history they need to raise the price! No apologies, no attempt to mitigate, just smiled and jack up the price by another $40 per month.
- He lied that you can walk away from MB lease 6 month before expiration. He explicitly said that and suggested to take 48 month lease which he referred as "42 month". He also lied about $500 credit for possible damages when returning the car. He said "if your car still has 4 wheels we take it no problem!". Well, in the very end of the process we learned real rules, which are nothing like what he said.
- Finance guy was even more fun! He immediately lied about the tire condition upon return. He said "Does not matter!" When "double-checked" he said "no wire should be sticking out". After another polite request (from me) to refer to documentation he said "2/32". Well, I read the agreement. If the finance guy does not know that 1/8 (per paperwork) is NOT EQUAL to 2/32... may be he should try flipping burgers instead.
- Finance guy also tried to add DMV fees on top of negotiated down-payment which included "ALL OUT-OF-POCKET PAYMENTS". Once I noticed he just changed it momentarily.
All of these happened after I told them that I want to buy a car for me as well very soon.... I would rather buy Chevy but never see these crooks again!
Does someone know if this is how they are taught to do business? Or this is their nature? And does the CEO of Daimler AG know who represents this reputable German brand here?
I am surprised they did not stole my wallet...

Greatly disappointed in Mercedes. They know that the model R350, I drive has know issues with the electrical and water intrusion. After spending $250 for the initial diagnostic and them having the car for over 24 hours. I was told I needed to spend an additional $750 for more diagnostics to find the problem. On top of that I get the report back on everything else they check and the estimate on all that work was over $7,000. Not including what I brought the car in for. I left with no answers as to what was going on with the car and what to do to fix it. Wasted time and money just to get a BAIT and SWITCH.

I will never buy another Mercedes nor will I recommend one to anyone. Poor craftsmanship and poor service.

Amazing staff to work with! great deals, we were able to save a lot of money on an suv! Go and speak Ramzey Karaki you won't go wrong he is very well knowledgeable! He took us to 3 warehouses and was very helpful finding just the right suv, after 3 hours of his time he still had a smile on his face and was joking around with us like he was apart of the family. I recommend you go straight to this dealership don't waste your time anywhere else!

King Butlee was the ultimate best, hands down. He was very honest and sincere with his work that it only made things easier for us. He shows you all your options and then tries to get you the best deal for you. I wouldn't have had a better deal without him, he really tries to do his best to make his customers more than satisfied with their purchases. I would recommend him to everyone because he does his job very well. On top of that, he has a great personality that only brings our constant laughs. He really makes the car buying experience a joy and something to look forward to. Great place to find the perfect car and also the best deal with their manager Jack. He looks out for his customers as well to give them what they need at a reasonable and fair price. I have been coming here for my car purchase for almost 10 years now.

Tico, Mo and Ilia were our sales staff and did an excellent job. 5 stars on their end. They helped us find the car we wanted, negotiated fairly and were perfect examples of professionalism.

Marc Pizutto of service was the absolute worse I have ever dealt with (chevy, Cadillac, dodge, Toyota, lexus). Rude and unprofessional, never expected an experience like the one we had with him. Luckily Mo and Ilia were there to help us out and make things right.

If I could give this dealership a 0 star rating I would, and not for any other reason but specifically for the Sales Manager, Mr. Stan Kirtley, Jr. I have been a Mercedes Benz customer leasing an E-350 coupe for over 3 years now, from Rusnak Mercedes, with payments in the $600 range. As my lease is due to be up in a month I figured I would explore my options and ended up at Keyes Van Nuys on may way to court (I am an attorney). As my interest was in a lower payment and a C-300 coupe, I was shown some vehicles by Arthur, a great sales guy (I have nothing bad to say about him). Additionally, after 30 minutes of negotiating with Alex (another sales associate who was extremely wonderful), I was not satisfied with the offer made to me and was running late to court so I had to leave. I was then contacted with by Alex and informed of some additional changes he could make on the deal. As I returned to the dealership at 8:00 p.m. to run numbers ones again, after about 20 minutes on being on the phone with a friend, I was told that Stan Kirtley refused to sell me any vehicle and that I should leave.

Confused as to what the issue was and feeling completely disrespected I left. But immediately returned and requested to speak with Stan, who came out with an extremely awful attitude, began to speak in the most condescending manner, and kept repeating in the most rude tone and yelling that he was not going to sell me a car, because I had wasted his time, it was 8:30 p.m. he should have been home with his wife and kids rather than wasting time with me, and that if I could not afford a Mercedes, then I should look at a different company. And then rudely threw his business card at me.

To being with, as an attorney, I am well aware of the time it takes to negotiate any contract, let alone one involving the purchase of a vehicle ( I am not buying a shirt for $50). As such, if I require negotiations lasting longer than 2 hours, as a dealer in the business of selling cars, the employees of Keyes should be prepared to engage in such negotiations. And if negotiating is not an option then maybe the dealership should rethink its strategy in selling vehicles.

Mr. Kirtley, clearly has ABSOLUTELY ZERO business being any form of manager, let alone one at a car dealership, where the main responsibility of the employee is in negotiating a deal. Mr. Kirtley, if you are an unhappy, unsatisfied employee, maybe you should look into obtaining a 9-5 employment at a job less stressful and time consuming for you, as apparently this one is not cutting it. Additionally, your rude and disrespectful tone in communicating with potential customers is beyond unacceptable. A car purchasing/leasing requires time and negotiations, and apparently both of those seems to be too difficult or too strenuous for you. I have paid, and have been paying a much higher amount for a vehicle un until now, and therefore, your condescending tone and remarks are incompletely uncalled for and inexcusable.

I have never been so appalled by one employees actions, and I will never again think of purchasing or leasing any vehicle from any Keyes dealership, unfortunately, due to Mr. Kirtley's demeanor and attitude. I am not doing you a favor by leasing a vehicle from you, but rather contributing to your reputation, your profits, and most of all Mr. Kirtley's paycheck. As such, he should definitely ret-think his future in this field.

Piece of advice, DO NOT PURCHASE/LEASE VEHICLES FROM KEYS DEALERSHIPS.

First of all my experience with SHAWN at this dealership is a NIGHTMARE!He got me into a "BAIT AND SWITCH" trick where he had me sign up for a FAIR deal with NO downpayment and FAIR interest rate and had me drove the car immediately on the same day 10/15.After a week 10/21 he called letting me know that the bank did not approve my loan and tried to change the contract by now asking a high down payment and a higher interest rate!!!What a trap!!! Good thing they have not sold my trade in yet so I was able to get out of the deal.BEWARE with these type of people because they will really trick you saying things "hey man you're a good man so here is what I can do for you bull crap"!!! In addition I just found out that Mercedes is falling behind BMW unless you get the really expensive ones (AMG crap)coz even the new C 300 4matic that I test drove did not match compared to my entry level 320iBMW. I WILL NOT EVER COME BACK OR RECOMMEND KEYES EUROPEAN MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE OR MERCEDES BENZ IN GENERAL!0 star rating if I could! BEWARE!!!

The promise made by this dealership and sales staff never came true. They lied to us, be very careful when dealing with the staff. Went in the dealership to look at the new GLA the sales guy that was helping me out told me that I can trade my car in today even if I had still 7 payments left. He said the dealership will pay off my current loan and I can drive away in a new GLA today. I agreed and drove away in my new GLA. 30 days later I got a bill in the mail for $802.00 called the Keyes Mercedes and talk to the sales person and the manager they told me the deal is done sorry and I would have to pay. This is not a dealership it s a stealership. Be carful and don t trust them. Will never go back STAY AWAY.

After one week of looking for the right car, he helped me to find just what I was looking for last week. I even drove into my garage, to make sure it fit! job well done Terrence! No pressure, but only understanding.

She assisted me in getting a rental due to the service on my vehicle was going to take a couple of days. She is a great service advisor and is valuable employee. I always make my appointments with Karin because I know she will take care of me.

We are longtime customers of Keyes European - we have leased, purchased MB from only this dealer for 20 years. We also own Land Rovers. And by far - hands down Keyes has always been the best service experience for us. They answer the phone, they are courteous and professional. We just serviced our CLS with Scott and he has been so professional and calls us with updates - So we know status of our vehicle. Appreciate the great customer service. It's the little things that count.Thank you Keyes.

Got work done at another certified MB (broke after...

Got work done at another certified MB (broke after a few years) and took it to Keyes to get fixed. They charged me over $200 and just pulled my wiring apart (didn t put it back how it was). So basically paid money for them to expose wire and leave it exposed. Had to drive to another dealership where they took care of me with no issues. Will never return here which is a shame because I live 1 minute away.

*update- I wrote this review and emailed them over a month ago and still haven t heard back from them. Really upsetting that they won t even acknowledge me.

This is one of the most beautiful and busiest MB in the country and for good reason, they have a huge selection of vehicles and a sales person for every person that walks through the door to give you the attention and help you need. I just leased my 4th vehicle from this dealership and what keeps me coming back is their great service and ability to give you a great deal and of course Shareef who is absolutely the best. He just gives you all the time you want to ask, test drive, look around and does not try to rush you or push you to make a decision. It's like looking for a car with a friend who is trying to help you make a good decision than trying just sell you a car and that is really appreciated. Thank you Shareef and Keyes

These people make car shopping a living hell!! Mercedes has a certain prestige and quality of service that is expected and boy, do these people fall short!! Its a joke to call Dennis Murray a "Sales Manager". This guy needs to go back to customer service 101 and learn what it is like to SERVE your customers..yes, Dennis, you need to SERVE us and make sure we are HAPPY, because otherwise you will lose business. This guy wasted 3 hours of our time..while we were already signing a lease he came over and said there was a mistake and sorry we cant get that deal. In his mind, we were discussing a different car all along. You know what Dennis, it was really not that huge of a monetary amount that you couldnt have apologized and ate the cost. Thats called providing excellent customer service and good will. Instead, this a**hole talked back to me and my parents, had a smug smile on his face and was very combatative. He needs to learn how to work and understand the cultural differences in communication he may experience in his line of work. Someone pointing his finger at you does not warrant you to be an a**hole and spew garbage at us. This is not your personal space, this is a pretige office where you are the SERVANT and we are your customers who you just made a mistake with. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! He needs someone to punch him in the face. Overall, Keyes has now lost their loyal customers of 10 years. Please, think twice about going here, dont waste your time as well. They easily take customer's money, but you won't be able to get it back even though they make a mistake. I satisfied my car and their service before I purchased, but I've totally regretted after I signed up with them. Never trust this financial team. I would like give them negative star point.

just try to get their price down you will see what I am talking about.
we make our money hard therefore we must get the best deal as possible

They got the job done (warrantied update and repair for Collision Avoidance Assist Plus Failure). This is about the loaner which we were assured - and even arrived early to secure, that required our raising hell to obtain. We were immediately told, upon arrival, that there were no loaners available. As we watched, immediately after we were told there were no loaners available, there were three people that came after us and obtained a loaner with no problem. I raised hell about it with the Manager Mr. Kim- and as I'm standing in the "Alternative Transportation Office" for over 45 min, a Hispanic Service Rep greets a customer who arrived at least 30 minutes after I did. He instantly hands him the keys to a loaner, and as the client marvels at how fast this was, the rep states in Spanish (obviously assuming I don't speak Spanish) "...we treat you like a King Here..." At this point I asked to speak with a manager- Mr. Kim, who "educated me" that this was not a boys club (which clearly it is)- However, they DO reserve loaners on some private mysterious Criteria, known only to them. I asked what the criteria and guidelines are and he attempted some razzle dazzle BS regarding circumstances. I have owned 8 Mercedes Vehicles in my lifetime, two from that dealership, and am a Professional with a busy schedule who lives out of the area.

So when Keyes European tells you "this is first come first serve", know that it is not, it is a preferential treatment system. Unless you "qualify" for a loaner, you're on your own or have to fight to make sure your days' schedule and commitments are not compromised.

If you wish to get ripped off, this is the place to go. I purchased and signed a lease - all was fine. The next day the finance manager said I needed to come back in immediately as they forgot to credit me for the return of my previous leased Mercedes. I really didn't want to come in during rush hours so I asked to come back the following day - he said that wouldn't be possible. So I went on the 405 during rush hour. I signed the new paperwork trusting them. When I had a chance the next day I started reading the new agreement and realized it was much more expensive than the original. I started calling and my calls were never returned (I have a screen shot of the calls from them (to bring back my paperwork) and all of my subsequent calls to them - and not 1 return call. After a week I became more pissed off and went in. They took the car back and gave me my previous car with a complete refund. These guys treat you like your are worthless and stupid. They also refused to make copies of the agreements in my folder (which I believe is unlawful). Tomorrow I will discuss this with Mercedes Financial. I do have their worksheet showing a different lease amount than is on the 2nd contract. They are denying that there is a previous contract. If you like dealing with liars and cheats, this is the place to go.
