Kenya Ferry Services Ltd Review

Probably the only place where pedestrians don't pay to cross

The waiting bay is good, especially the side of island

It was a nice experience though was rained on when onboard

Get there early. There are hella long lines here. Ferries wait until full before departing.

The Kenya ferry is a free service for people on foot by the national government of Kenya. Vehicles cross at a fee. Operating 24/7 and it takes approximately 5-10 minutes to cross. The service help people cross from the Island of Mombasa to Likono where one can travel Kenya-Tanzania Lungalunga border. How from around 11 p.m to 5 a.m the crossing is often slowed to almost an hour because of low traffic.

The fastest way of get in the Island fro the main land

Poor services, unorganised and cause a lot of delays.

Always at speed to save your time and all is done in order

Good but improve the services. People should be crossing smoothly

This Ferry Services is really horrible due to its Congestion of people and the wait time is really long enough such that you will not when think about using it again. I feel symp6for those who are commuting everyday back and forth.

This is an experience for all senses. Crossing from Mombasa Island to Likoni. You definitely will not be the only one doing that

Was fantastic only that the entry and exit ramps are too steep for low cars. It gorged out my car pumper..this should be checked

Crossed to North Coast with my boys on their way to Diani. Its a beautiful and busy place. A lot of renovation has been done to Mama Ngina beach as well as new security check points have been installed.

Nice n free if you don't have a vehicle but be aware of pick pockets

I once crossed using the ferry it was nice and fast, took me few minutes to cross to likoni on my way to ukunda

One or two ferries should be added because there is crowding during morning time and evening hours

Thanks to the new ferry that has comfy seats,I seriously had to wait for it so that I can aboard .the security has been beefed up you no longer have to fear .well managed number of people boarding and very understanding staff. Not forgetting you get to enjoy the great view of the Indian Ocean

kindly give shade to passengers awaiting to board. with the heat in mombasa consider fans if air conditioner is expensive

At the moment, it is the only way to cross to South Coast from Mombasa

Broken down and dangerous ferries operating and no other option to go to Mombasa from south coast

This is the linking point of Mombasa Island and Likoni it's usually busy depending on the time of the day and the number of ferries available. The ferries crosses the Likoni channel which is the only access by the ships from the great Indian Ocean. It provides a great scene to the tourists both local and international. Put it on your list if you happen to visit Mombasa.

The pushing on the pedestrian waiting bay during peak is not a joke especially in the morning....You better be careful if you are using the ferry in the morning.....
