Rooms and service are both outstanding. There was construction going on on the floor our room was booked on, so the gentleman at the front desk went out of his way to find us an upgraded room on a different floor. Couldn't be happier.

Rooms are beautiful. We had to pay for parking though which was ridiculous seeing as how I spent over $100 on a room. They also don't have a stairway to use so we had to use their slow elevator.

Staff was super friendly, room was beautiful and very clean, the valet service was amazing and the rate was great! The hallways and the lobby were gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was good, too. Can't wait to go back!

The Atherton Hotel is a beautiful hotel with lovely decor. Soothing colors through out the hotel are pleasing to the senses. The guestroom are charming. Enjoy a drink at the bar. The space is inviting and the appetizer menu is very appealing. Dinner at the Ranchers Club was delicious. The steaks are gorgeous! The room is decorated with great paintings of area ranches. The overall experience is worth a visit.

The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I would sacrifice the extra money and stay here on campus. The lounge has great food, drinks and is always lively. I have been coming here every month for the past year and have had ZERO issues, literally I can t think of one bad thing. I would suggest booking way in advance so you can get a room. They will book up fast. I always brag about the service, keep up the great work.

Go Pokes.... My son has now followed his momma's footsteps and entered into the Honors College at OSU. When I was there a hundred years ago (or so it seems) my big thing was one day I'd return to OSU with a kid attending there and I'd stay at the OSU Atherton Hotel. Seems like a silly bucket list kinda thing, but there you go.

So Josh Bernard and his staff were facing a big challenge, making this as memorable today and I dreamed it would be 30 yrs ago. They succeeded with flying colors, beyond my expectations. They bent over backwards to make my stay as amazing as I had ever dreamed, and the little touches you never know about until your a guest just took it over the top (I'd tell but why ruin the fun of the surprises ahead once you enter your room at the Atherton).

The breakfast is included as a buffet and it hits all the 'wants' plus you are dining in the coziest most lux dining room that makes you feel like you are as special as the Atherton staff makes you feel. Now I am hooked, and my son will be there for every bit of 4 yrs - gonna have to dig deep into my retirement fund but staying at the Atherton is so worth it.

Lastly, logistically it can't be beat. Its attached to the student union, the one rated the best in the country I might add - you are steps away from the renown Theta Pond and Student Union gardens. Across the garage you are on fraternity row, with streets that lead to lots of fun places to eat and visit, including Hideaway Pizza (a must), and around the corner is the famous Eskimo Joes. Why stay anywhere else.

Only downfall, and its rather a big deal to some - parking is an additional expense. My old college gal pal came to visit me and threw a heck of a fit (embarrassing...) but it is what it is, so don't be shocked. They do offer valet parking too though.

It was clean and staff was friendly...but that s about where the pluses end.

The rooms are extremely small. I ve literally stayed in rooms in downtown San Francisco, Paris, and Zurich that were huge in comparison to the rooms here.

Second, the parking stinks. It s $15 overnight and if you end up going anywhere, you can count on spending more than that.

Three...too much orange. I get that it s an OSU hotel, but it s overkill.

Beautiful old building but with rooms that have high quality furnishings and amenities. The rooms have a strict standard of cleanliness. Great bar and customer service. Definitely a yuppie wasp nest

We stayed at the Atherton for a wedding that was on campus. It is a nice hotel, with very pleasant staff. For visiting OSU it is a great hotel. However, as a hotel in general, the rooms are a little small and the bed is not the most comfortable. Overall we had a very pleasant stay

They went very cheap on the rooms. The toilet paper was very thin and cheap, the toilet seats are cheap plastic they doesn t stay in one place
The shower heads are so weak you have to stand by the wall to even get water that is not even very hot.the pillows were uncomfortable and the sheets were thin. The elevator was very slow and it would randomly stop on floors so it takes 5 minutes just to get from the first to fourth floor. Also you could hear traffic at night so if you want to be cozy and relaxed, choose the backside of the hotel.

The location of the hotel is excellent because it is within the unirvesidad next to the Student Union. The rooms are excellent and the service is extraordinary. For me it is a Five Star hotel.

The Atherton Hotel is Stillwater's premium service hotel experience. The location is ideal for anything OSU and the staff is primarily students learning to be the best in hospitality service providers. The remodel was completed a few years ago and it feels as fresh and stately as if it was it was new. On site there is covered parking, dining choices ranging from Chick-fil-A to The Rancher's Club steakhouse and the beautiful gardens for an evening stroll.

The rooms are very small and clean enough, but not very. My main complaint is that people walk around without masks and nobody says anything at all. This is inside OSU, where there's a mask mandate, signs everywhere, etc. This is inside a city where there's a mask mandate. However, the Atherton doesn't follow rules. They might have a small sign on the door, but that's it. Nothing reminding of elevator protocols, nobody reminding guests to wear masks. If you want to use the stairs, because people use the elevator without masks, they have to unlock them for you and they are outside the building. When I pointed out that people were not wearing masks all around, they told me that everybody follows the rules. That is, they blatantly denied the evidence that was before my eyes and did nothing.

ICU beds are scarce in Oklahoma at this moment. OSU is making a huge effort to keep open and keep students, faculty and staff safe. However, the Atherton gets a pass. Please, you need to follow safety regulations more closely. This is a public health issue.

As of now, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to feel safe.

Location is great as it is on campus. For at the rancher's club is also great. They have a valet service which has also been good. One downside is no central light switch for lamps, have to turn each one down by itself.
