This was during the fair. Me and my family had an awful experience. Getting bracelets for rides stated 12 and under at a low rate but because my 8 year old grandson is tall they charged me the adult price. My 2 year old grandson looks five and I can only imagine how much it would cost him at the age of 4. They will probably charge him adult price too. If you are going to have an age limit then stick to it and don't charge more just because the child is tall

This is a great venue for large events. They have a huge arena-like auditorium and expansive fair grounds. I went there to enjoy an awesome car show. Hot rod enthusiasts from all over the country met to display their finest pieces. There was also carnival food and trinkets.

Went there to see my son getting an award for Skills USA. It was a nice place,. It was an extremely hot day we got there early so we can get in and get her seats however they wouldn't let us in early. Totally fine with following the rules however, they would late letting us in. Had a handicapped person with me and the elevator wasn't close.

As for food that was horrible. The awards we're at dinner time. There where thousands of people there and only 6 stands open and they kept running out of food.

Here for a few days attending the 48th Annual Mid America Trucking Show.
It was quite the experience. The place is big, TOO big, in my estimation but nevertheless successfully gotten through it.
Prices for food is the usual "jacked up way too high" kind.
Plenty of restrooms scattered throughout the perimeter of the wings.

Went to a concert at Freedom hall (during the Kentucky state fair).
BIG MISTAKE
Paid over $100 for tickets then had to pay 2 x $10 to enter the fair that was shutting down because it was the last day. Then had to pay $10 to park (there were no parking spots left, so had to leave car in a dirty field.
Then had to walk halfway across the fair grounds to the venue.
The venue was so cold you needed a jacket. It was unbearable, so we left before the main act performed.
In a nutshell, we paid about $150 for a dirty car and a waste of time.

This location has a long, long-standing history. However the new management makes it very difficult to deal with and consistency of results leave some things to be desired. Will our event continue to stay at this location? Who knows...

DO NOT GO TO NSRA SHOW IF YOU CAN'T WALK FOR MORE ...

DO NOT GO TO NSRA SHOW IF YOU CAN'T WALK FOR MORE THAN 2 HOURS, OR HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. There is NO seating for the general public. Plenty of space for shows, but my goodness do they overcharge for food and drink. A bottle of water or a soft drink is $4!!!! A bag of chips or A cookie is $3. I could understand it IF this place was in the middle of the desert, but not here. Also NOT nearly enough places to sit and rest if you are at a big show. Not really family friendly prices.
FIVE MONTHS LATER -
If you have a young family, or can't walk for more than a couple of hours DO NOT GO TO THE NSRA SHOW.
There are about 5 benches for the ENTIRE venue, so if you don't bring your own chairs, you are out of luck. There used to be quite a few picnic tables out for the public, but now those are only for the vendors. Once again - if you don't want to bring your own chairs, DO NOT GO.

This is a very great place for any and all events. The facility is easily located off the intestate and the traffic flow is great. The parking lot is very well clean and well lighted during dark hours. There was probably 3 big events going on at the same time as ours, which was the Cheer Derby All Star Cheer Competition. The events were well organized and never interfered with the others. I hope to continue to come back next year.
