Great couple of hours. Dave was a fantastic, amusing guide.
Great couple of hours. Dave was a fantastic, amusing guide.
Great caves not the biggest but really interesting and David was a great tour guide. Good value for money
Really enjoyed our outing to Kent's Cavern.
Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
The tour was suited to kids of all ages which was great.
Wow what a lovely experience! We visited for the Christmas experience tour, so the kids got to go on a journey through the caves and meet Santa. It was very entertaining and worth the money. The tour also included a free mince pie and drink at the end and a couple free entry tickets for January which we'll definitely be using.
The cafe is really nice and enjoyable to sit at, really clean and spacious.
Cracking place and had a grest guide in Tara. Booking system great and good cafe. All well organised.
Great tour with Sancha today. Took just over an hour. Don't worry if you don't like small spaces, it's not too cramped.
This place is great been a few times and it doesn't disappoint, good for kid and adults alike, wear good foot wear can be a bit wet underfoot.
Well organised tour with a very knowledgeable guide. (Quinn). Seemed rather a lot of people in a group, but each family group was kept separate by being allocated markers at each talk point. Very interesting to hear how the caves were formed and then used by animals and humans, and rediscovered many years later.
Went with my sons and daughter the place is absolute Goldmine fantastic history told by one of the staff that show you around, like getting a history lesson of thousands of years of history right throughout the caves the color of the rocks is amazing and the staff do a wonderful job we all had a wonderful time will definitely being returning at some point
Very flexible lady on the service desk. Let us get on the tour even though it had started. Thanks
Spend a fantastic hour in the caves! Well worth the visit, very interesting. Quite a good cafe but expensive.
Great food in restaurant, really recommend. Very interesting caves, nicely guided by Simon
It was a very good tour, the guide was very knowledgeable, but it was also very short.
A fantastic sight in Torquay, which is easily accessible and a must visit for anyone in Torbay. The staff are fantastic and very knowledgeable, and the tour around the caves is fantastic for anyone, regardless of age. I would recommend to anyone visiting or that is local to Torquay.
This is exciting place to visit as you get to see how caves are formed. The guided tour talks about the history of the rocks. However it does get dark in some areas of walk and some rocks are low. It was a good experience.
Amazing place with amazing guides the guide we had was Alfie he had so much time for me and my family. He had an amazing personality and knowledge of the caves. The caves are beautiful and the story's and theorys behind them are spectacular. It's a place you must visit to get the full experience .Was an amazing day out for us.
Knowledgeable and staff who are friendly and helpful
We had a great visit! The tour was informative and the cream tea delicious.
David our tour guide was excellent. Kept kids involved and interested.
Very interesting, atmospheric feeling the history through out the ages
Great little cavern with a guided tour which really brings the story of the caverns to life, well worth a visit
Great tour, very insightful, very knowledgeable tour guide (Cara), the tour lasted around 45 mins. Inside the actual caves, it's a constant 14c all year round; helpful so you know what to wear!
Good family trip out, 2hrs is about enough. I'd probably say best for 11y/o and under or they might get a little bored. Staff friendly. Parking very convenient and close. Cafe a little pricey. Worth a visit if you on holiday.
Tour guide Amy was excellent, humorous and informative tour targeted perfectly at children and adults alike. Plenty for everyone and clearly knowledgeable. The tour was excellent and they are run frequently so wait times are short and while you wait there is a woodland trail to explore with crafts to do on the way round, an activity to complete for children and spear throwing too.
Really enjoyed this experience, great little cafe and shop onsite. You do have to pay for parking though, but it is worth it.
Very interesting. Great guide. Amazing caves. Amazing features. Lovely cafe.
Tour is long enough to be interesting and hold your attention and not too long for the kids. Good place to visit on a rainy day or a very hot day... Constant temperature in the caves of 24 degrees.
Amazing caves to visit as a family. The stone age instrument making workshop for half term was excellent.
Took my 4 and 6 yr old on the woodland Trail, brilliant fun and the girls loved finding all the items !
Great way to spend an hour , the guide Cara was excellent.
Absolutely fantastic, would definitely recommend a visit to Kent's Cavern, I visited a lot of years ago in the 80's it was brilliant then and I wasn't disappointed this time, anyone visiting won't go away disappointed.
It very different and a cool looking cave but no offence the tour guide he's soooooo BORING
A journey through time going back through hundreds of thousands of years. Brilliantly recounted by the tour guide. Quite awe inspiring
Just as advertised...these are definately caves, and most likely prehistoric (although I'm no expert on the subject)!!
Very enjoyable and worth the visit. All staff very friendly and helpful. Well done to tour guide Alfie, who imparted loads of interesting facts and threw in plenty of humour, numerous corny jokes and a smidge of sarcasm (at the appropriate time of course).
Very good place to go very interesting good at getting kids involved but can be scary for little children
Absolutely amazing tour guide(Simon) was knowledgeable, friendly and funny great with the kids too well worth the money
The guide was fantastic (Blonde lady-sorry, bad with names!). Definitely worth a visit!!
We had a great time here, it's also nice and cool on a hot day. Our tour guide was brilliant and even let our little boy hold the torch and be tour leader for a bit.
Kent's Cavern should be renamed Kent's Cave....The Blue John mines has a cavern...This is just a group of passages that opens out....Despite the lights mirrors and sound effects.....VERY DISAPPOINTING
Great place, very interesting, the ghost tours in the evenings are fantastic. Also have a lovely cafe
Beautiful coffee. Our guide, Ellie I think her name was, was friendly, passionate and very informative. Lots of interesting facts about the caves. Caves are stunning as well.
We went for a day out here and we were the only ones on the tour so I think we had a better deal as we could ask questions to our hearts content and have a laugh with he guide as I said I'm not PC or offended by things so talk to me like he would his mates rather than a customer. This went down well with the young lad and we had a laugh aswell as him telling us all about the caves. He was very knowledgeable or so I think.....I'm no cave expert so he could have told me anything but he seemed to know his stuff. Before going in we were greeted with other members of staff who were also just as friendly.
I would highly recommend visiting. The tour is about an hour and a half but there is a nature thing there for kids and a 15 minute walk into torquay to spend the rest of the day.
Very interesting place and great staff.
Fantastic a truly mystical Santa's wonderland for the children
There was a group of us that went and the caves were great.
The only down side for us was that you only walked a few steps before standing around and it was for to long . So altho your in there approx 45 mins per tour 30 mins were stood around.
we visited Kents cavern yesterday and recommend the tour to anyone visiting Torquay.
Mirham our tour guide was extremely professional and it seemed she had so much knowledge about the place. she definitely had a wealth of knowledge andalso knew how to keep us entertained and was witty too. a true asset and a good ambassador to Kents cavern.
i am sure all the other tour guides are very good too ,
keep up the good work...
best wishes
Paresh
Was a bit pricey and you go round on a guided tour. Our slot seemed extremely busy and was rather noisy which made it extremely difficult to hear what our guide was saying. Despite this our guide Holly was excellent.
Haven't been for years but will be back again soon. Thanks Dave for the great tour and entertaining commentary. Woodland trail was just long enough too.
Fantastic place to visit fun and educational. But if you have little one's go to the Christmas interactive panto in the caves. It's out of this world.
Fantastic place to visit, only discovered it by chance and decided to go. Our tour guide Cara was brilliant, funny, friendly and so informative, we loved the experience. Would definitely recommend a visit. We also went on the Coastal trail walk 2 hours trecking the paths and taking in the spectacular views, ending up back at Kent Caverns.
Nice day out, lots to do once outside of the cavern. Mehera (sp?) our guide was friendly and informative.
Great place! Great guide...he did an excellent explanation
Very interesting, very pretty, good tour guide, but a bit expensive.
Loved the tour through the cave and kids loved it too. Tour guide David was amazing and he made us giggle
Wonderfully interesting cavern, Ursular the guide was very informative, well worth a visit
An interesting cave system with evidence of human activity from thousands of years ago. Unfortunately, they don't let you explore the caves by yourself, and the visit is restricted to a 45-60 minute tour. Our tour guide was friendly and we learned a bit about rocks and cave formations - I now get why stalagmites and stalactites form!
On the downside, the guide was obviously reciting from a script and didn't seem particularly passionate about the subject. At 12 quid a ticket, you'd expect a bit more engagement on this front. The format of the cave probably suits free exploration better than a forced tour, and would be better off allowing visitors free roam, with the option of a guide for a bit extra.
A very interesting visit and experienced guide to take us round the caverns.
Excellent place to visit , good guides do interesting tours and always happy to answer questions
Fantastic. We loved it. The tour was brilliant and our tour guide was brilliant!!!
Interesting tour and guide was very good. Expensive though.
Visited recently as was staying nearby and what with the weather not being great thought I'd take my son to Kents Cavern. Its great if your into History,I found it very boring and quite pricey.Plus the admission prices they have on their website are not what they charge when you actually get there.
Fantastic place to visit. Extremely interesting and educational.
