Excellent helpful staff. We arrived in the pouring rain on Bromptons. They allowed us to fold up and park the bikes inside. Highly recommend them for this kindness.

The caverns were interesting to us because they have been excavated by archaeologists and explorers over many years. Rock formations are a highlight, rather than industrial scale mining, like you might find in Wales etc.

The restaurant had vegan/veggie options although slightly on the pricey side.

Warmest cave in Britain? And you can get married there...

Tour took around an hour with a helpful and knowledgable guide. They do request you don't use a camera with flash.

Great attraction to see on a wet cold day. Family friendly.

Absolutely fascinating. Our guide Amber was very informative, funny and made our trip extra special. The gift shop is small but has a good variety and the prices are very reasonable. There is a cafe and the indulgent hot chocolate is a must.

We enjoyed the experience - Alan (the tour guide) was very good, he has the perfect voice for it, a lovely manner and some good little jokes along the way.
It would be nice if those with young children could go in first, 5 minutes before the tour started to check the children would be ok with it and get used to it - we took ours thinking they would be alright but unfortunately had to interrupt the first few minutes to get them settled outside as it was a bit too dark for them and didn t want to continue.

The organisation under the current regime was really well sorted which made for a relaxed underground tour.
David, our tour guide, was informative, engaging and entertaining.
In my opinion this is site is a real jewel in Torbays crown.

Brilliant tour by James. Just the right length of time, information and humour. Concrete path all around the caves, definitely push chair friendly. Plenty of free parking on streets nearby (a minutes walk), or paid closer to site.

Went there with a plan to see the caves. We've ordered a coffee and paid at the bar. After we've got our coffee brought to the table, we've asked for some ice cream. The waiter took the order without any problems. Next minute, some guy runs out to us, telling that 'this is a self service restaurant, and we need to pay for our order and pick it up ourselves at the till, as the waiter has got more important stuff than looking after you two' .... Well, if we were told by the waiter at the time we made the order to come and pay at the till, that would be no problem. But the manager (I guess he was) running out and rudely having a go at us, is unacceptable. Seems like being a customer you deserve the worst treatment for taking up their precious time. So we have half drunk the coffee (not the best) and had some of the ice cream (meant to be with fruits, had a frozen cubes of something colourful in them) and left without seeing the caves. Will never go back. Avoid the restaurant. And if you go, make sure you wash your cups afterwards to not take up any time of the personnel.

Staff very nice, tour guide James was knowledgable and enthusiastic. Well worth a visit.

The tour of the caves is very informative whilst being enjoyable. The caves are stunning, which photo's can't do justice. The tours are at set times, but whilst you wait there is a great gift shop and cafe/restaurant with brilliant freshly made coffee, I would also highly recommend the cakes!

I like the history part of it but I wouldn't recommend taking young children in buggies down there as a family took theirs and the kid just screamed all the way round, probably scared as it is obviously quite dark, all in all I'm glad I went in and the guide Joe was amazing at his job, five stars for him.

Never thought I would enjoy caves so much. The tour and information given was really interesting. The kids loved it but it was a bit hard to decipher what was being asked of them on the kids activity sheet.

A good experience for all the family. A tour takes an hour which is filled with interesting facts about the caves' previous inhabitants (both early man and prehistoric animals). Our guide, Alan, was very knowledgeable with just the right amount of humour to make the delivery entertaining without being over the top.

Absolutely brilliant day out. A great place for the whole family. The tour guides are very friendly and helpful. They run a small search quest for children around the grounds and in the woods. Lots of fun. Food and drink is available on site as well. Great for kids and adults !!

Absolutely amazing experience, worth the money and time! Lovely tour hosted by Holly (brilliant guide, btw), very interesting for us as adults than for our 4 years old actually, although the visit was meant for the little one. If you are in the area, go here, you'll definitely enjoy it!
