Had a really enjoyable time at Kent's Cavern yesterday, the tour of the caves was informative and entertaining and there was lots of other activities for the kids which were fun and creative, really enjoyable day

Really enjoyed our guided tour with David. We are normally people who prefer to find our own way round but it isn't an option. The guide added some really funny commentary which I suppose he does the same jokes a dozen times a day every day. Unsurprisingly it's busier on rainy days, can't think why!

Absolutely enjoyed the caves. The guide we had, Kara really knew her local history and was fun to listen to. Untill now I was not aware of any other caves in the UK that you could visit exept Chiselhurst. The reception area and cafe is very nice. I was impressed with the pot of tea. Most places, especially in London, when you you get a pit of tea , you barely get two cups out of the pot. I got at least four cups worth . The view from the cafe and reception are is quite beautiful. I would say even if it is raining, Go outside. Its worth it.

We took our children there and were asked to leave as one of the little ones fell over and was crying so i would say if your kids are still and quite then fine if they are normal children don't bother

Kents was a nice experience, not the biggest or most breath taking however with a mix of the cave its self and the knowledgeable your tour guide gives makes it a really good experience. Cafe is available before and after the visit. Parking is available also.

Great place

It was a real treat to view these caves, especially on an extremely hot summer's day a few weeks. It was a case to visit somewhere that I hadn't seen before so Kent Caverns was just the place to be.
Our guide was well versed in the information about the caves, their structure and how they were discovered.
It was pleasing to experience these caves in an unspoilt environment and without needless lighting. Well worth the visit!!!

Quite an informative trip with some reasonably interesting stalactite etc formations. People accommodating and friendly.
A lot of the trip underground was standing and listening, hence not so good for hip and back sufferers
Coffee was poor. You need to work on that guys!

Really interesting tour of the caves. David was an excellent tour guide. I had no idea such a thing existed in this country. Not just an iconic tourist attraction for Torquay. This should definitely be up there with the likes of Stonehenge.
The caves are the only ice age national heritage site in the UK and one of just 18 in europe.
The only recommended improvement i would have is to try and make it attractive to the younger more adventurous tourist as well.
More advanced tours should be available to go off the existing paths and explore deeper into the caves with obvious safety equipment required, hard hat, ropes etc.

Staff are nice, polite and helpful! A small entrance opens up a giant cave, Plenty of seats available not just in the cafe but outdoor open space. If the scale of cave and pics of animals that their bones were found here are shown, it'll be perfect

Unbelievable to think the ground underneath us used to be thousands of miles away. Awe inspiring for me (but I left the children elsewhere so can't comment on the family side of things) really enjoyed myself

Really interesting tour, good to do on a rainy day with kids, but even better if the sun comes out to be able to explore outside. The food is much better than typical for a tourist attraction. I hadn't realised how significant the archaeology was here, but it still works really well for a fun activity.

An interesting and informative tour through these amazing caves. It's an easy walk with handrails in places. There is also a small exhibition and children's activities indoors plus a woodland trail.

Enjoyable guided tour through limestone caves. Very slick, good accessibility in comparison to cheddar and wookey hole. Personally I prefer this to both cheddar and wookey. The guide was very knowledgeable and answers any questions you may have about this fantastic piece of geology. Small children will get frightened at certain points, but the guide warns of any impending scary bits (the start with animal noises and turning all the lights out) on the whole and given the location - being so close to all the other attractions of Torbay I prefer it. I'm sure you will too.

I'm an event photographer. A professional dance team asked me to take some Halloween special photos of them inside Kents Cavern (They had booked a private session). I arrived early and the staff were super helpful. They allowed us to pick the spot we wanted and helped us all the way through the shoot. If you're looking for a special location for a photoshoot, this is a great one!

Such an historical place to visit and educational, too! It was amazing to hear about all the facts and items uncovered as they discovered the caves. You even got to see some of the items uncovered!

An excellent opportunity to discover the best the south west has to offer, Kents cavern is a huge cave system full of interesting artifacts, of prehistoric origin, and probably the most interesting cave system in the UK, they have found hyenas. Cave bears, mammoth teeth, cave lions to name but a few of the many things that. Have been found, ,
Guided tours by knowledgeable and friendly guides, a full restaurant and a great shop, an absolute must when you are in the south west

Great to go around and spend time there, cafe is very expensive for food!

Only do guided tours so if that's not your thing then probably won't enjoy it as much, still interesting to go around though.

Gave 4 stars due to the cafe being stupidly overpriced!

All in all a good place to visit if you're on holiday in Paignton/Brixham or wherever.

Love it here, great tours. Shame there were so many people on the tour and they let people buy torches and bring them in the caves! Ruins the feel of different parts of the tour and regularly being blinded by persistent 3year olds left me eager to leave on this occasion sadly!

Don't miss the chance of a visit. You would never believe that such a place exists so close to the town centre of Torquay.
A second visit with the grandchildren is a must.
Better than any artificial theme park.
Even better it's the perfect solution to a wet rainy overcast day .

Our tour guide (Ollie) was very entertaining on the tour. The cave system that you get shown around is interesting but it would be nicer to have a larger area to explore maybe as an advanced tour

A very good tour which takes an hour. Tour guide was funny and entertained the kids on the way around. There are lots of great things to see however it would be nice to spend a bit more time looking around on our own without the tour guide. More

Go if you want, you may be luck and happen upon someone who works there that gives a dam, we didnt so we left, my advice go to the dinosaur world by the harbour far more educational and THEY ACCTUALLY WANT YOUR CUSTOM, best money you spend for a tour. Pssst and the kids will love it.
