Not kid friendly with a group of older retired women at this location. They are "territorial" as I was told by an employee when I reported about an incidence of rudeness towards my 2 year old grandchild by 5 of the women. They do not like to share the woman's locker room. Made it very clear to me when I brought my grand daughter into "their" locker room.

One by one they informed me that she did not belong in their locker room, each could hear the one before informing me since they were each only a few feet away from each other. My grandchild just needed to use the toilet and get changed. She was not approaching any of them nor was she being loud or rude.
I would and have brought her in the "Community Locker Room" but there is no bathroom provided in there. No toilets, sinks or showers. Just a few changing stalls and lockers. An employees office is located at the end of the Community Locker Room. No access to the pool through this room. The "girls locker room" has one toilet and the seat was broken on it last we were in there. There are several children waiting to use the only toilet before swim class from the day care program. Which did make us late for class. Yet there are several stalls, toilets, sinks and showers in the Woman's Locker Room. BUT no children allowed in there and they let you know it. Again employee just stated that they (older women) are "territorial"
I won't be attending any more swim classes or any other classes at this location. Clearly we are not welcomed there. It's a shame since the swimming class teacher is a very kind, informative and the grand baby likes the classes.

It s been over 5 years since I worked at the YMCA. And I cannot forgive them for how I was treated by senior management or by the group of older adults. I got paid minimum wage to deal with way too much and dealt with way too much stress. Like I said their treatment is unforgivable. And I do not understand how senior management like Greg was promoted to a branch like IH. Or how other supervisors were allowed to stay.

A variety of group classes through the week, a varied schedule for the pool and gym, child care for while you are working out, a truly wonderful staff, and more! I rarely give five stars but I have only good things to say about the YMCA!

I have the greatest respect for everyone there. I put my trust in them to care for my son and they have exceeded expectaions!! Everyone is always so will to help and my son has made great strides with regard to social skills, swimming and overall making friends. I would recommend anyone that need childcare before/ afterschool or for the summer. It can be pricey but they offer financial assistance for those who qualify.. Such a great expierence
