Pinecrest Lake Golf & Country Club Review

Booked house via air bnb at Pinterest Lake Golf and Country club. Lakefront property was amazing. We kayaked, canoed, went for walks exploring trails and relaxed. A good getaway in Poconos.

Very nice course to play but you need a course guide if you are new to the course. You need to play smart because of the many layup shots required.

Beautiful and very challenging course! Tons of wildlife! Well manicured!

Thank you to Pinecrest for supporting our veterans yesterday by hosting the Valor golf tournament. Even though it rained we had a wonderful time on this beautifully manicured and picturesque course. Everyone went above and beyond to see that we were well taken care of.

Excellent course to play. Keep is straight and short.

As a homeowner and member of Pinecrest Golf and Country club Community, I am sickened by the treatment my husband, mom and myself were subjected to on Monday, August 3, 2020

I am sharing my concern as a current member and one who, until this incident, was in the process of purchasing another home in this community. I ask anyone considering a vacation of permanent home in Pinecrest Golf & Country Club to strongly consider if putting your family s safety and well-being at risk, is worth the investment.

Thank you for your attention and below is my account of the incident:
As a homeowner in this community, I am appalled at the treatment that I received on Monday, August 3, 2020. My husband and I decided to go on a bike ride. We accidently went down the golf cart path and was met by a man on the course who proceeded to scream on the top of his lungs, using disgusting profanity and thrusting his clubs at us, yelling for to get out of here. During his scathing rant, he asked if we were members / homeowners and when I calmly told him that we were, he laughed and said, Oh I highly doubt that and immediately said that he was going to call the cops and clubhouse. Because we accidently went down a wrong path? Never in my life have I seen a grown man act with so much unnecessary hate, disrespect and anger. Would he appreciate someone yelling at his own family in that manner? As a West Point grad and retired military officer who fought in Iraq and risked my life so that he could treat me that way was BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. More so, I am a human being and do not deserve to be treated like that, BY ANYONE. When my family went to file a complaint the clubhouse, we were told by the assistant manager (who refused to give us her name) that he was in his right because we shouldn t have been on the course. Were then questioned again if we were actual members and that she wasn t going to do anything about it. She then said you people are always trying to escalate things . NO WORDS!
The fact that this man is a member of this community and a community that condoned this behavior is reprehensible and unacceptable. Many people in our professional and personal networks ask if we recommend Pinecrest Golf & Country Club and I will now say NO and tell them my experience. No one deserves to be treated the way my husband and I will be treated, and I am frankly embarrassed to be a homeowner in this community. I will also continue to spread the word within the community that this is how members are treated.

Hands down best course I have played so far. Very friendly staff and a great restaurant. Hoping to play few more rounds this season. Very challenging course in the area.
