Both professional and DIY painters go here. You have to have some ideas of what color choices you are interested in because there is no color consultant to help explain colors or shades of colors. There is usually a master colorist - match color samples you bring in but he isn't going to tell you about colors like an interior designer would.

They open on Saturdays for DIYers. There isn't any hard selling of paint tools, accessories so if you have painted before be sure to mention that.

I was looking for help with a specific issue, and called 8+ Kelly Moore stores on the Peninsula, stretching down to Gilroy. The person who answered the phone at the San Carlos store abruptly and flatly refused to even consider helping. I was dismayed, but luckily, another KM store referred me to the Santa Clara one on Laurelwood. Spoke to them around 3pm, and less than 24 hours later, the Laurelwood store had fixed everything, FREE OF CHARGE!
Seriously, if you're getting Kelly Moore paint anyways, why not go to the store where the guys are professional, go out of their way to be helpful, and are PLEASANT to deal with?
