My husband and I started looking online at houses in Duluth Georgia. We put together a list of houses with must haves and wishes. We emailed Cecil Whitmore the list of houses as well as our schedule. His follow up question was the first indicator that we ve chosen the right realtor. We informed him that our primary residence is in California and that we have 3 days to view houses in Georgia in February. We also asked for a 30-day Escrow and for the house to be move in ready! Although we ve had our complied list, Cecil offered additional houses for further comparison. He assured us that his goal was to find us a home of great value.
Cecil prepared our 3-day schedule to view the houses. His schedule allowed us to view houses without feeling rushed. His planning was impeccable! Unfortunately, we did not find our home on that trip. However, the time spent with him, reassured us that he will find us our home. Afterall, he s a great listener and really pays attention to detail, taking notes of what we liked and disliked about each of the houses. Yes, another indicator that we ve chosen the right realtor.
#findusourhome. My husband and I return to California, feeling hopeful. Within a week or so, Cecil text, stating that he has found our home. He emailed the virtual link and gave his expert opinion about house and its location. He also said that he would view the house in person and send us footage and pictures. His excitement about the house and value did not go unnoticed. He told us that we would not be disappointed. Cecil informed us of the area and its economic growth and development, something he knew would interest us (again, good listener).
Now, this is when you must trust your realtor, remember, we re still in California. After talking with Cecil, viewing the link, his pictures and footage we made an offer! Yes, the seller made a counter offer. #teameffort. My husband asked Cecil what amount we should counter that the seller will accept. We all agreed on that amount, and ta-da, the buyer accepted. We put a deposit on a house we hadn t seen in person. However, we trust our realtor!
