My family and I have volunteered at this Soup Kitchen on more than a couple of occasions. Professional and highly organised, we've always come back each time with a sense of fulfilment of efforts directed towards the right cause. Alleviating hunger!

A very friendly bunch of people doing a wonderful job helping the needy. Went to volunteer with my kids. They appreciated the experience and had some fun meeting a variety of people from different backgrounds whilst preparing food for 500 plus people for the weekend. Well done guys!

A noble society helping the homeless in KL city to rebuild their lives. They don't only serve food to the poor, but also medical aid and counseling servicws to those in need. And the process to be a volunteer is so easy.

Trying their best to be side by side with the homeless in kuala Lumpur area ... Such a great job they are doing. Anyone can join them every Saturday night in their activities ; mostly distributing food under the supervision of the Kechara soup kitchen membes ... Really interesting for those who want to feel grateful of what they have

I've always felt that doing good to others is a way of karma. Until I found KSK from my relatives and given it a try.
It is mind blowing when I engage in activities with the homeless and some families living in the PPR flats. It really breaks me down and just to keep my mouth shut when I am complaining I want this and that (materialistic life). But when I see the real deal of these homeless and under-privilege families. It really breaks my heart.
If there is an opportunity, I would recommend all to come and experience. No harm doing good right ? Haha. Mana tau you might experience a life changing moment.

First time volunteering to be in the soup kitchen,...

First time volunteering to be in the soup kitchen, it was one of the worst experience doing any community service. Helping people in need should be happy and I expected staff to be friendly but turns out mood ruined before giving out any food to the people. I just don't feel welcomed joining the community of this soup kitchen. Hopefully management would improve next time. However, I do like how this soup kitchen has helped the people in need to lessen their burdens.

Great experience with regular volunteers on their Weekend Homeless Food Program, where we will be assigned to diff group/location, and pass the food to homeless, or we should address them as Client.

Kechara staff are very nice and well-mannered. They register those who come to receive food to ensure those who really need the food can get it. There are also just the right number of volunteers for work for the day.
