Karsten Electrical services is great! I had them install a bathroom fan and a couple new light fixtures. The electrician showed up on time, was very nice, completed the work and left the workspace 100% clean which was really impressive for a snowy day. I highly recommend this company.
Had them come and install 4 fan boxes in each of our bedrooms and wire them to the swag lamp switches so that I could install ceiling fans. I was able to complete the quote and schedule entirely through email, which is convenient for me. Their quote was the most competitive I received and the tech who came out was prompt and courteous. I'd have no problem recommending them based on my experience.

Karsten Electrical, and Shawn specifically, came as a strong recommendation and we asked them out for a complete home electrical remodel project. Shawn came out for a site visit, explained everything professionally and demonstrated a clear wealth of expertise about everything we needed to consider about a project of our size. What I appreciate most was Shawn broke down the reality of the cost of the project versus the age of the home, and challenged us to honestly consider whether we wanted to invest this much into the house (is this our forever home?). I appreciate that his candor came at the risk of not closing a deal, and that he clearly cared that the job would be in our best interests, not Karsten's. Ultimately, we decided to sell the house and move, and not ask Karsten to do the electrical upgrade, but Shawn's honesty and integrity definitely earns my recommendation, and will earn my future business where ever my family ends up next.

This company is composed of great people, who do great work. They are honest and will do every job the right way. If you are looking for a company you can trust time and time again, this is the place.
I called on a Thursday to get a bid on an electrical job. I was told that someone would contact me early the following week to set up an appointment. Hearing nothing by the following Thursday, I called again and was told someone would call as soon as possible to schedule the appointment for a proposal. I hoped this could happen before the upcoming holiday weekend. It did not. So it's now a holiday week, everyone is busy, I get it, so I waited until the following Tuesday to call again. I am now informed that there are at least ten jobs just like mine already scheduled and there is no way they can even come out to make a bid. So how many of these ten priority jobs were scheduled while I patiently waited for nearly three weeks? If someone is slammed with work and they can't fit me into their schedule, I can live with that, just tell me up front, but don't string me out for three weeks! I am busy too! There is absolutely no excuse for treating a potential customer this way. Based upon my experience, it is my opinion that you should be VERY cautious in dealing with a company that has no more regard for their customers than this. I will certainly never consider them for future projects and I will recommend to all of my friends and contacts in the construction business to utilize other electrical contractors. Beware!
