Wonderful heated open air pool. Lovely all year round. Gets very busy on sunny days.

pretty cool to swim outside all year long. The length of the pool is 36m which is great for long distance training.

Difficult to beat the fact that it's outdoor, and heated, all year round. There is a kids pool also, and some grass for lounging.
Can get busy, like all pools in the area, but get there early enough, or outside peak times and it's a gem.

Changing facilities need bringing up to date.

Bit pricey. And frankly quite outdated.
Changing rooms are very very desperately in need of a makeover.
But. Friendly place. During the day there are a lot of club/ex club swimmers.
I am training for a triathlon and always get lots of friendly no hassle advice.
Plus wetsuit friendly.

The pool is lovely hence the 5 rating. But if trying to book a family swim, it is very complicated at the moment. Give yourself a good few days organising before trying to book

Great atmosphere, with great facilities. Family use it on a regular basis and couldn't think of anything else.

The pool was lovely but too hot for me. I suffer from ms and a warn pool is a problem. It was the hottest day of the year which warmed the outside pool. The lifeguard was helpful but the pool was popular.

It was so cold when I went but the water wasn't too bad

Great clean swimming pool for everyone. It has pay as you use option and it is an outdoor pool with warm water. changing rooms, shower and parking available as well as food and drinks. Loved it.

Go weekly to Hampton open air pool. Do aqua aerobics,and just love it.Cannot use changing rooms so just take towelling dressing gown and come straight home. Superb. Need to book in advance though.

Heated, peaceful, friendly staff, clean and good facilities.

A hidden gem, I discovered this pool by chance and am so glad I did, wonderful venue. The changing rooms are closed at the moment due to Covid but the staff have worked hard to make it a safe venue (which it is).

Average White Band concert; faultless organisation in a lovely setting

Bit too heaving for younger kids. Staff doing their best but some people were oblivious to anyone but themselves no matter how many times the lifeguards told them.

Staff worked so hard to keep it all ticking over. Nice pool and they turned one area into a beach with sand but the selfish rowdy older boys put my even year off and she wanted out.

This place is a gem to have anywhere near London. Swimming in the heated outdoor pool is amazing at pretty much anytime. I wish it was open longer at weekends to the public but it s a beautiful place to swim.

A real holiday feel to this heated outdoor pool. The food in the cafe is delicious. Recommend their jacket potatoes with salad. Friendly staff. Highly recommended

Great venue and wonderfully atmospheric when it's a cold day with the mist coming off the pool. An incredible local amenity.

It's impossible to book a space at the pool. I'm on the waiting list and click on the link in the email in a nano second and the space is already gone? You need to sort out your booking system.

Unfortunately its looking a bit dated these days, but still worth a visit.
Forget the school holidays if you want a relaxing day out but OK otherwise

Disgusting pool filled with rubbish, staff were inappropriate and unreasonable, conducted themselves in a ridiculous mannor DO NOT GO HERE! Waste of money.

Warm outdoor pool, great fun in the evening or when it's really cold. Busy in the summer but a nice place to relax next to the pool on the grassy area.

It really pains me to leave this review as we are long-time Hampton Pool fanatics (3 generations). My family has supported the pool when it looked like it would close for good in the 80s, and more lately with their redevelopment plans. Sadly, the pool is now run by a combination of teenagers and officious management who simply couldn't care less for their customers. I learnt to swim here in 1976 so I was keen that my daughters do the same. I should say, the swimming teachers are excellent and this review is by no way a reflection of them.

Despite being top of the waiting list for several months there was no space for my daughter in the higher level. We patiently waited, continuing to pay for the classes in the lower level for several months until I noticed that another student in her group had been moved into the class before her. When I queried this I was first told that she had been removed from the waiting list (this turned out to be untrue). I was then told they must have booked it using the "online portal" (something they later also admitted was impossible). They had, in fact, given the place to someone else but didn't have the dignity to admit it. To protect identities I won't mention names, but after several telephone calls, both my wife and I were treated to a cocktail of nonchalance/rudeness and generally made to feel like this whole thing was our fault. Things were finally resolved (minus an apology) but given our support for the pool for over 40 years, it has left a very bitter taste.

The water is extremely dirty. Avoid.
Reply to the reply: That is not true. I wear swimming goggles and could clearly see the water extremely muddy and full of different bits of rubbish, small and large, all floating like a in a soup. Quite repulsive, actually. I asked my kids to avoid the water altogether, and my wife said she did not want to come here again.

Great, heated pools, all year round. Kids instructors are brilliant.

Busy on a summer Saturday, can buy lovely warm and barely chlorinated water. Not a lot of space to sit today, but space in the water.

Had my first late night swim yesterday with my 10yr old son and we had a blast, an icy blast lol.. The staff that greeted us were fantastic and the glow stick glasses were great (but did make me feel guilty about plastic pollution afterwards) Hats off to the well wrapped up life guards that make having this experience possible... In the immortal words of Arnie, I ll be back

Chilled out, friendly staff with excellent facilities. Very cute place to get fit and a great experience swimming out in the elements.

The team at Hampton Pool have been doing all they can to support members through the lockdowns and have done a great job of it. Can't wait to use the facilities again when they re-open.

Despite the long queue to enter (it was a very hot Friday), the staff managed the incoming flux of people really well. The pool area was packed but the three lanes for swimmers were enough for those who wanted to swim rather than just bathe and have fun.

What's not to love about swimming in a heated outdoor pool in the winter? Great showers and warm changing rooms to dry off in afterwards.

It's a great place and I love the spinning class. I was pleased to read they are trying to improve the pool etc but local NIMBYs are getting in the way of redevelopment. Shame on them! Keep up the good work Hampton Pool.

Very nice pool but difficult to get to by public transport.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, however pool showers changing rooms cafe are not clean at all there was bugs everywhere in the cafe

A beautiful outdoor pool open all year round. This venue is unique, as in the summer, they host concerts with a lineup of well known singers and bands.

Fabulous pool staffed by excellent friendly people. Heated but not too hot.

Went to use sauna, and was really disappointed as people use it as drying room for their shoes, disgusting and disrespecting to sauna users!

Could be cleaner always rubbish and nappies laying around all staff inside guards all so young and more interested in talking bout there drunken nights than observing kids in water like my boy who cudnt swim well and some kid jumped in straight onto he's head. For about 20 seconds ( which to my 10yr old felt like a lifetime ) he was trapped under water when he finally came up for air and because it took 3 swimmers to bring him up. Not one life guard or manager helped him or even apologised . And the toilets are disgusting... I went coz it's local but not again

Brilliant pool, nice to have a decent size pool to swim in with appropriate sized lanes. Pool users also respectful and a good selection of speeds for the lanes. One way system in place for covid, staff are friendly and helpful. Hopefully the restriction to pool users stays in place post covid.

Great place apart from rude staff. Went with partner daughter and son. Partner was watching. My daughter wanted to get out the pool but the second i got out the pool to show her where her father was a lifeguard starting having a go at me because i was'nt supervising my son. Also food and drink prices are ridiculous. And Autism friendly this place is not

Fantastic pool. It's so nice having the option of an outdoor heated pool, especially in the winter. It is also nice that it is a slightly larger than normal pool so plenty of space

Great pool, really popular but usually plenty of room to swim. Can be booked for parties with an amazing inflatable raft. Wonderful place.

This pool gets way too busy in summer. They should put a cap on how many people are allowed in at the same time. The pool size is pretty small too. There is never enough room to actually swim, just getting wet is more like it.

I have visited Hampton pool today for a first time. I was extremely disappointed. There are no showers outside, only in changing rooms. Do you really expect anybody going to take a shower in a changing room before getting in to the pool ? After watching sunbathers all sweaty getting in to the swimming pool, decided to leave at 13.00.
I do not want to know quality of pool water before closing time.

I do not have any intention to be back there unless you improve on what I have mentioned above.
