No place but masjid al-haram brings tranquillity and peace to one heart and mind, Masha Allah with 210 gates to enter/exit and the grand expansion been going on for a while now it made easy to come and solat/duaa/umrah or even just to be in that place.

In 2017, the number of pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform hajj was officially reported as 1,752,014 and 600,108 Saudi Arabian residents bringing the total number of pilgrims to 2,352,122.
The Quran contains several verses regarding the origin of the Kaaba. It states that the Kaaba was the first House of Worship, and that it was built by Ibrahim and Ishmael on Allah's instructions
The Qibla is the direction faced during prayer.[Quran 2:143 144] It is the focal point for prayer. The direction faced during prayer is the direction of where the Kaaba is

Five Pillars of Islam:
1-The Shahadah (declaration of faith) - Trusting and understanding the words of the Shahadah. The shahadah means there is no other god except Allah(one God) and Prophet Muhammad is the messenger/prophet of Allah. The shahadah can be recited when a person chooses to convert to Islam as the words in the shahadah are the key fundamental beliefs in Islam.
2-Prayer (Salat) - Praying five times a day, kneeling towards Mecca. There are specific ritualistic movements and prayers that are said.
3-Fasting during the month of Ramadan (Sawm) - Islamic Fasting is not eating or drinking beverages when the sun is out, only when the moon is out.
4-Charity or alms-giving (zakat) - Each year a Muslim should give money to charity (Usually 2.5% of their savings). If a person does not have much money, they can give services to others instead.
5-Hajj - Pilgrimage to Mecca.

The very first construction of the Kaaba was done by Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his son Ismail as a house of worhip to one God. Allah (the Glorified and Exalted) says in the Quran that this was the first house that was built for humanity to worship Allah (the Glorified and Exalted). Soon after Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) died, people started filling the Kaaba with idols. It was not until Prophet Muhammad (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) defeated the idol-worshippers that the idols inside the Kaaba were destroyed.
Muslims around the world face the Kaaba during prayers, no matter where they are. This is called facing the Qiblah.
As mentioned in this verse in the Quran, Verily, We have seen the turning of your (Muhammad s) face towards the heaven. Surely, We shall turn you to a Qiblah (prayer direction) that shall please you, so turn your face in the direction of Masjid al-Haram. And wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction. [2:144 ]
This is one of the most precious place for Muslim.
I performed Umrah few times and this time i had came across with heavy rain. It was morning 4 o'clock when I stepped out from hotel for Farzar payer. It was fabulous day for me praying in rain in the morning.
I spent 4 hours here performed few other Salah and enjoyed weather for rest of the day.
I have been here several time but this was really memorable for me..

Alhamdulillah, today my parent going there to do hajj. And I wish, me and my sister go to Mecca and may Allah give us a chance to do hajj or umroh at ka'bah. Insya Allah.
