I took my middle-aged Subaru there twice for oil changes. Each time they found "problems." Each time these issues cost thousands. When i took it in a third time, the same thing happened! I took it to an AAA-certified garage. They found 1 issue that cost $350.00 instead of $3,000.00!
I wanted to believe in these folks.
I almost forgot. On the first service, they didn't fill the windshield cleaning fluid reservoir. The second time, they didn't do the oil change, even though i asked and they said that they had!

K-Tech has been awesome. We moved to Sebastopol recently and needed to have our car serviced and found K-Tech online. We were attracted by their commitment to being Green and their support of the community in addition to being a woman-owned company. They've been super responsive to our needs. We had an emergency radiator failure on the way home with 3 dogs in the car. After getting it towed to K-Tech near the end of a work day, they ordered the radiator right away so we could have the car the next day AND let us use a loaner car. In addition, their office manager, Monica, manages to be kind and efficient. We love K-Tech.

It was polite and friendly service. The time and cost of repairs were exactly as they predicted. This was my first time, but great service thus far.

DON'T GO HERE unless you want to throw away $$$! I went in for a small repair, only to get an estimate for a $1600! I paid $105 for the diagnostic. I went to another mechanic who made the repair for $50...(and it still works). The mechanics reported that all these parts that actually work were broken! So was this a deliberately fraudulent or merely incorrect diagnosis? Even though the diagnosis was completely useless to me, I could not get a refund. I did get a check for $35....but not the balance, no matter how I tried. I looked back over all my invoices and noticed a pattern of "over-diagnosis". I also spoke to employees who were very unhappy about how they were treated by the owner. I am not a disgruntled employee. I was a regular customer and this is the TRUTH.

Great service. Fast and clear responses to what's going on with your car.

First time here. Took my car in for an oil change and while doing a 50 point inspection as part of the oil change service the mechanic found a couple of things that needed attention, one of which was serious safety issue because of something the previous shop I had gone to had done wrong. Not only did they do the inspection as a regular part of the oil change service, they also emailed me the report including pictures of of what they had found. That impressed me, no shop I had been to before has ever provided pictures. They provided me with a loaner car while the work was being done, and when I picked my car up they had even washed it for me. Needless to say I was very impressed and will definitely be going back.

Monica at K-tech was courteous, professional, and helped me problem solve the issues with my car. Upon doing a routine oil leak fix, they discovered my distributor was shot. They informed me and even helped me fix an issue with my car idling low that had been coming up recently. Overall very professional crew and great customer service at Ktech, I would recommend them!

Ktech took advantage of a elderly lady. Charging her $2600 in labor for a coolant leak. Should had been a $200 repair of a cracked hose with parts included. Because that's all she needed was a new hose and when I asked the manager what particular part failed causing a leak she said her mechanic reports it was the entire system.

Great customer service and even a little less expensive than the dealership's "special offer." I am happy!

Having recently moved to the Sebastopol area I was in real need of a qualified and competent auto repair shop that could work on my Mercedes. I found just that in K-Tech Automotive. What a great group of automotive repair professionals. I would recommend Kate and the other techs at K-Tech Automotive to anyone in need of a service or repair for their car!

Very good customer service where they clearly put the clients needs first. The mechanics are too notch and they get the job done correctly the first time. Strongly recommend this place if you love your vehicle and want experts working on it.

Helpful and great people works there but prices are just way too high. I highly recommend to look around first. Make this your last choice.

K-Tech Automotive is competent, honest, dependable and competitive in their pricing. They are the only shop that told me that my car (a 12 year old VW Passat) is in excellent condition. They sold me only the repair services that I knew I needed and I did not tell them before hand what I knew had to be done. And the repair work that they did is A-1 satisfactory.
I will continue to use K-Tech for all of my automotive needs. You will be pleased if you do too.

Best customer service I have ever experienced! I brought my truck in and from the time I dropped it off until I picked it up the experience was Great. The crew there went above and beyond and The repairs were performed precisley. Best shop I have ever been to!

Monica was great, very nice and understanding. After our car was water damaged from the Sebastopol flooding and engine totaled, she allowed us a couple days to leave it on the lot while we figured out what to do with it in this highly stressful time. In addition, on the same day, I brought my car in for an oil change and a few other items, and now my car is back in optimal condition, thank u for your service!

K-Tech Automotive is one of the last great garages in this area and I feel very fortunate to be able to have them complete the work I bring into them . They are always on the money with their estimates and do highly qualified work on my vehicle , whatever it may be . I am certainly going back for all of my vehicle's work that needs to be done.

So the first time I had went here I had a great experience. But lately, I might as well be invisible! I had my fuel pump changed and my truck has run like CRAP ever since. I've taken my truck back, they checked it - supposedly, and said everything is in great working order. hmmm...really?! Then, additional services were quoted and then the price changed when I actually scheduled the service (for instance, I was quoted $300 for a new water pump, then after I scheduled the appointment and just before I dropped my truck off I called to confirm the 'quote'. I was then told the cost would be $689. Excuse me?!) Then, services were offered, but whenever I've called to get those services, my calls go unanswered. So, bottom line, perhaps the service is good the First time around.

First time experience: I had my oil changed about a month ago at another auto place in Santa Rosa, I asked them to check my brakes because I had heard a squealing noise. They checked them and told me I had about 30% brake pad left on my rear brakes and not to worry. About a week or so later the noise got worse. It sounded like a grinding noise - metal to metal. I called around to several auto shops and the only place that would get me in the same day was K-TECH. Jack, the service manager sounded genuinely concerned when I told him about the noise I was hearing. I took my truck in, they looked at it and told me it was a dangerous situation. I had them order the parts and they replaced my brakes and routers the next day. They were super friendly and efficient. Jack called me a week after K-TECH replaced my brakes to see if I was experiencing any issues. He asked me to call him within the next couple of days and let him know how the brakes are working. K-TECH knows CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Something that I think many of today's businesses lack. I will definitely take my truck to K-Tech again and recommend them to my friends and family.

I just received a letter thanking me for coming to their shop with business cards I burned them. I will not go back to K Tech again. I could write about my experience with them, but why waste my time?

This response is after their response. I feel you over charged me at least $200 - $250. You want to credit me , then we will talk!

If I did not check on their reviews, only you would have read their response. They know my phone number, yet they decided not to call me. Is this good business?

I have dealt with the employees at K-Tech on many occasions. They are always very professional and strive for outstanding service. They guarantee all their work. They are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Courtesy cars are available at no cost. Great Customer service is their goal.

Very poor customer service. The employees come and go like fish. Will not use them ag as in if I ever get my car back. They mean well I'm sure.

Took my broken car, charged me a thousand dollars and handed it back to me, even more broken and worth less than before.

STAY AWAY!!! THEY HAVE NO DESIRE TO HELP PEOPLE, THEY JUST SEE WALKING DOLLAR SIGNS.

I had an issue that caused my 1.9tdi diesel to run away, damaging a bunch of pieces inside my engine. They took me in, diagnosed it as an issue with the EXHAUST. At the time I had no knowledge about cars, but was still skeptical that was the problem and asked them more than once how confident they were that the problem was the EGR to which I was told in at least two different wordings that they were very confident they had nailed down the problem. After charging me over a grand to replace the component, they called me to say it was 'better' (which actually meant worse, i drove it in there and now they couldn't even start it) but still needed an ADDITIONAL SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS to repair my three thousand dollar car. These people have no idea what they're doing,

TAKE YOUR VEHICLE LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE

Just in case you're reading this K-Tech, to get this review taken down it'll cost that grand I paid after you threatened a broke college student with legal action. You treat people like dirt.

Wonderful customer service, good people with integrity who know what they are doing and do it well!

Made appointment on line and when I got there they had nothing. They said they would call me that day. Never did. I was a new customer but not now.

I have taken my car to K Tech for service twice. Both times the people I dealt with were friendly efficient and a pleasure to do business with. It's a great place to avoid dealing with big corporate dealerships.

Their OK. They do the job but very much at the expensive side plus their place is NOT the coziest place to wait in.

K-Tech gets an A+ from me!!

While in Northern California on a business trip and close to 500 miles from my home, I was driving on the freeway when a warning light I had never seen before lit up my dash board. I was concerned because it was something to do with my brakes and I was worried that I could be in danger. I pulled over, did a search, and called K-Tech Automotive. It just so happened that Kate, the owner, picked up the phone and I was able to explain what was happening.
Without hesitation, she quickly started gathering information about my car and based on that information was able to determine that I would be safe, and that my car would not sustain additional damage if I drove it to an auto technician close to where I was to have it looked at.
Knowing that I was some distance away from her shop, not once did she try to push or convince me that I should come to her shop, but instead suggested I get to a shop that was closet to the area I was in.
I don't believe I have ever had someone in the auto repair industry be so helpful and more concerned about my safety and well being vs. them making a buck. Kate took the time to really consider what was best for me and my car.
I don't live in Sonoma County, but if I did, K-Tech would be the only place I would take my car!!

I am grateful to find such a quality auto repair service here in Sebastopol. The customer service is warm and consistent. The quotes i receive have been fair and often lower than others. The loaner car has been very convenient and has helped tremendously. I never skipped a beat. I highly recommend discovering for yourself what a trustworthy and reliable auto service K-Tech is offering!
