Good dinner, some construction noise was the only downside.

Casino is pretty average but Emily the bartender was amazing! Gave us recommendations on what to drink and was extremeky friendly! Excellent service and a top notch bartender! :>

Nicely Renovated food seemed good nice conference facilities did not see gaming area or accomodation so can not comment on that.

Rooms are getting dated. The hotel is currently undergoing an upgrade. We were awoken by workmen at 7am during our stay. More central better suited accommodation options available closer to the beach.

The Star is great fun. Food, drinks and a little flutter to get the heart pumping. I love it!

Absolutely loved the grandeur of the new look here! Reminded me of being at the marina bay sands in Singapore. Really impressed all the way from the lobby to the rooms. The pool area has a great outdoor spa jacuzzi as well with convenient stop/start button. So good. Was a bit worried about the noise from the construction but we really couldn't hear a thing at all when the balcony door was shut. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurants on this trip but I'll definitely come back to try it. Easy access to the cas and shopping at pacfair. Was lucky enough to be shown the ocean terrace suites would probably book here for a night or 2 on my next stay if I can!

Fun night at the casino. It was quiet enough to get a seat at the tables, but not too busy. Make sure you don't wear rubber thongs. You won't be allowed in after 6pm

Xmas lunch in the Garden Kitchen and Bar. Very nice open area good food and pleasant helpful staff. There was a bit of a wait but it was busy. Will be back. Reasonable prices.

Noisy messy no decent place to eat at a reasonable price no atmosphere at all. Not like the old days no incentive to go there looking for something better that rewards us for going there sorry but lots of my regular friends all feel the same. Get your act together.

Attended the "Mondo Rock" concert here last Saturday. Very busy popular 24-hour casino and resort complex. Heaps of people enjoying dining and gambling. I also watched the Liverpool vs Arsenal EPL game at the Sports Bar. There's plenty of activities for everyone.

Plenty of food venue choices - casual to formal. Exceeded our expectations in the Cherry Bar. A good night out.

We attended the Abbey Road show. We had dinner at the Imperial @ The Star before the show. I had found a notation on the Star website to indicate there were 3 restaurants in the facility that, if you showed your show tickets, a discount was available to Star customers. The Imperial was listed as one of the 3. The food was excellent, very tasty. Service was excellent as well. When we paid our tab the response was "no...no discount....never" Very abrupt and very firm. So The Star needs to review its website as some of it is misleading. The Abbey Road show was excellent. The theatre was comfortable with very good acoustics. Easy access. The parking was a search but we did find a spot and that's free, which is great. Clean restrooms and clean facilities all around. Security is there but not obnoxious.

Booked a last minute spontaneous over night stay and lashed out on a night at the Star. The room was listed as premium balcony suite, however the room was tiny, with a horrible view of the construction site next door, the towels were stained, the toilet is installed soooo low to the ground it was ridiculous. The staff at reception were lacklustre and unhelpful, all round an extremely disappointing night. For $369, we hoped for something nicer. Will not be rushing back anytime soon, do yourself a favour and stay at Mantra up the road for half the money.

Went for the buffet, however closed until summer, had to settle for one of the other restraunts there, the food was great however very expensive. Looking forward to the buffet to re-open as the food at food fantasy is great at a reasonable cost

Looks fancy , but for me it was like a big club, plenty of pokies and gaming tables, lots of bling.I am sure it appeals to lots of people . Great veiws from the bar on 19. Staff are friendly.

Very Luxurious Resort with great restaurants. Includes good services like Pool , Gym and Spa. Very expensive and overpriced.

We love Movies on Mondays......and coffee after. Always lots of options at the Star.

Great Casino. Easy walk from Broadbeach monorail/tram station

I can t believe that my friend and I were turned away at the door, with a stack of cash, because they were only letting people with a physical membership card in. I am a registered member with this establishment and was still denied entry. NEVER again will I come back to this place.

Typical casino, good for gamblers, food selections are great, parking is ample

It was super fun and the staff were very accomodating!

Very poor service. The waiters clear.drinks without check that they finished. EVEN though you sitting there...No eye contact Very bad manners.

Stayed 3 nights. Room didn't get serviced once even though we were out of the room 10am-4pm both days.

Room was clean and comfortable.

Guy came knocking second morning to change out the wine and had no consideration that girlfriend was asleep on the bed.

Great value for money and some really high quality dishes, dessert was amazing!!

Drinks are always great and had a really great atmosphere
