OMG our class went there yesterday (3 It WAS AWESOME!!!
I went here on April 25th 2018. I went with my 5th Grade class on a field trip here. I was a physician. This place is huge inside and there are all kinds of different business's. Here are a few of them; Health Center, Cox Communications, Papa John's, Express Scripts, Freeport McMoRan's, American Airlines, and many more! I worked in the Health Center. I love this place sooo much! and I want to go back again sometime. I was here from 9:15 am - 1:00 pm. I worked a long day. My job was to give at least 10 different people a health exam and I went way past that. I examined a total of 18 people by the end of the day. Anyways, long story short, Biztown is fun and you should totally go. :)
Its awesome if I could go back there, I would.I went on March 7thn2016
Went here in 4th grade, in AZ. They had a Chase Field that I got picked to be in! I was so lucky to be there. I wish to go back
very good went for my field trip and the places were good if your a field trip planner I would reccomend this places
I went to JA BizTown today November 22, 2013 as the news reporter for Cox Communications and recived citizen of the day. I interviewed at least one person from every buisness. This was a once in a life time experience though I wish it was a 1 million in a life time chance because it was that awesome! I wrote checks made deposits and even used a debit card sponsored by Discovery at the Tech Store. I set up an inter view sometime in the mayors hectic schedule and had lunch with him! I even got to send letters at the delivery center, grab a snack at Papa Johns, and Vote at city hall. I also helped my friend, the web designer, set up web pages at the mall. I took a ride at US Airways Center, watched a D-Backs game, read the news paper, took a tour of the copper and gold mine, watched the news, talked to the attorney, and not to mention working out at the Wellness and fitness center. It was over all one of the best experiences of my life, Period! I wish I could go back tomorrow! Yay!!!!!:) =)

At colina, in Dec 11, I have a feild trip, to BizTown, this is awsome
omg. I went September 8,2015 and I was the CEO of the radio station.
Went on a field trip with my daughters class here today. I must say I am very impressed. The staff was very helpful and informative. The kids all absolutely loved being able to manage their own money and run a business. Huge props to all the sponsors who are involved in making this place run. Papa Johns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Cox Communications, Banner Health, among many others!! Thank you Biztown!!
My students and others were extremely overwhelmed and stressed to tiers during the Field trip. Some starved, not knowing when to take a break from their stressful position . It became an act of mama bear for me as the teacher when I realized all of my students were stressed out from their jobs. It was down right overwelming. Th company did it take the time to explain the lunch time and free time. Very disappointing
loved it. inspirational. 6th grade me was shaking. we love financially stable legends ! wig !
Fantastic concept but needs a major overhaul in how it is presented.
Students are given a tablet with a completely randomized scenario; marital status, # of kids, job, education, and salary are all predetermined... even the amount of debt they started with was fixed. It was chaos from beginning to end; The kids with anxiety were on the verge of breakdown having to deal with a scenario they in no way would have put themselves into, the kids who didn't take it seriously were single with 125k salaries....
It was a GREAT immersion of just how many financial factors there are to consider in real life (Insurance, unexpected costs, etc), but this was quickly washed away with the poor modeling and PUSHING for them to dedicate savings and investments that their forced scenario did not allow for. Many students still have unreasonably high lingering fears over their future based on their scenario experience here. The park itself is visually impressive, but each "business station" is not run by staff, only parent volunteers with no training, handouts, or information to give to these kids, only a code to check mark that they stopped by.
If this were tweaked to give the kids some sense of power over their own choices and see the result of those decisions... this could easily be a 5 star program. For now, calling in a volunteer life coach, college counselor, and accountant to the classroom to explain concepts with a worksheet would be a far better investment of time and school funding.
I used to come here on field trips when I was younger and it used to be fun! I went yesterday to volunteer for my nieces class. Horrible is the only word I have. It was chaotic the whole time. They didn t train us volunteers, so we sat there for an hour doing nothing and had no idea how to help the kids. The head director lady had no patients at all for the kids. The kids were saying they would have rather been at school! They definitely need to pick up their game and should definitely hire more employees to help out. Will not come here again.
